i am trying to post a character encyclapidea thing, but i cant change the topic type. i can click on the diffrent options but the type itself wont change, it just keeps being a survey type topic. how do i fix this?

I haven't seen your encyclopedia page. Have you tried to post it?
You should have the access to change the topic when you are making/editing the first post of the thread. It's in the bottom part under the topic type part. If you have done that, a screenshot might help to see where your problem is.

this is the problem, it wont swap the topic type. i have it set to "character" but its still on survay

Hi Luisa! There’s no need to worry about your topic changing problem, the format of creating a topic always says the word “Survey” underneath while creating it, but once it is posted it will not show up as a survey, but instead as the topic you selected for it to be, in this case a characters topic.
As for images, you have to upload the image to a hosting website, I for example use imgchest. Upon uploading an image, you have to use the share links available for BBCode - Forums, and voila! Just go ahead and copy that code into your post, like so:
