𝓔nter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.

Fortius Quo Fidelius. The Latin motto of Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Strength Through Loyalty was the translation, words that mirrored the placard beside the doors, noticed by everyone before entering. A place to keep valuables safe, a place where stealing would be punished.

As Lyanna walked inside, the realization of humans not being the only species in the magical community hit her, as it did every time in moments like these. Goblins, that's what they were. She recalled reading about them in one of her books a long time ago, but they weren't really noticed overall. It was like being invisible without an invisibility cloak, wasn't it?

Walking towards one of the desks, Lyanna, Jade, Oliver and Isa came face to face with one of them. It certainly seemed like they took their work seriously. The goblin looked up and waited for one of the four people to speak up.

"Hello, we'd like to access our vault," Oliver, Lyanna's dad, said politely.

"You have the key?" The goblin replied with a soft, sharp but rough voice. You could tell that English was not a goblin's native language.

"Yes. Here it is," Jade, Lyanna's mom, answered kindly. That was her "strangers-voice". The tone she used in public toward people she didn't or hardly knew.

After inspecting it, the goblin finally looked up again; "Good. Follow me."

The four followed the goblin and into the cart they went, moments later speeding down into the depths of Gringotts, underneath the streets of London. Down, down, down they went until the cart stopped with a thud and everyone stepped out. The goblin opened the door of their vault, after telling them to stand back, and the reflection of gold galleons, silver sickles and bronze knuts came to light.

It wasn't a fortune, but it was a good amount of money to live a nice, comfortable life without having to worry about having financial problems and such. Lyanna stepped inside and looked around, catching a glimpse of something that wasn't gold. Just as she was about to take a closer look to see what it was though, her mother called her and told her that they were going to leave.

And that was when the real adventure began.

But what was it? What was the object that she had seen?
