┏ "𝔑o... I'm quite certain we've tried them all, you are not a witch miss Oak. You are just a mistake, a squib you'd call them. Or are you not even that? Are you just a transfigured house elf? Well well, whatever you are, get out of my sight. I don't want to see you anymore today miss Oak."
"Come on Lyanna, let's get you back home, then we'll see what to do with you. We certainly don't want everyone thinking we've got a squib as a daughter!"
"The Headmaster must've made a mistake. You aren't a witch if you don't have a wand. Bceause remember, the wand chooses the wizard."
Lyanna woke with a start. For a moment she couldn't quite remember where she was, but then it came to her. The Leaky Cauldron. Why was she having dreams like that lately? First about her letter, and now this? She had received her letter. She had to be a which. Right? Checking her watch, Lyanna realized it was only 6am. Too early to wake her parents, too late to fall back asleep again. I might as well go have some breakfast then, she decided. Slipping on a sweater and a pair of jeans, she walked down to the Cauldron Great Hall in her fluffy slippers.
There were only a few witches in the room, a French lady having an engaged discussion about the food in England with her friend, a man and his child who had just arrived to buy school supplies and a businessman.
Walking to the counter, Lyanna ordered a Pumpkin Juice and sat down on one of the armchairs by a little coffee table. She drank the refreshing beverage greedily, needing to cool down. It was all a nightmare, wasn't it? She was a witch. Right??
Just before she could continue that string of thought, Lyanna's parents and little sister walked down.
"Morning Lya! Mama I also want to buy things in Diagon Alley, like a wand. When will I get my own wand? It's so unfair. I have to wait ages!"
"Oh come on Isa. I'll get you an ice cream at Florian's. It'll be fun!"
"Why are you up so early anyway, my little Lyanna?"
"Oh come on. I'm not little. And since we're going to Diagon Alley I thought getting up a bit earlier would be a good idea!"
Lyanna didn't need her parents to worry. She was fine, and they had enough to deal with already with her leaving home. She just had to stop thinking about it, she would be fine. Well, more than fine! She was finally going to buy her school supplies for her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, including her books, her robes, her cauldron and potion ingredients, and- her wand.
Whatever she thought about, her thoughts always led back to that one nightmare. Get a grip, she told herself. And then they left the Leaky Cauldron and entered Diagon Alley. ┛
