WHAT IS THE GOLD COMMITTEE?

[*] The Gold Committee is a group of students responsible for organizing and executing all aspects of The Gold Party, including choosing the location, theme, food, decorations, organizing the plans - essentially ensuring a successful end of the year celebration for Hufflepuffs!

[*] It is both an IC (In Character) and OOC (Out of Character) position. IC you can mention your character working on preparations for the party and OOC you can help plan it!

[*] Do note that this is the first year for The Gold Party and myself and Simon are both trying to get a hold on what it is exactly, what it all entails..... It may take some tweaking. I welcome all collaboration but also would still like myself/Simon to have some sort of executive oversight over everything. All good ideas need leadership, right?

WAIT, WHAT IS THE GOLD PARTY?

• The Gold Party is an end of the year party to honor those in the house of Hufflepuff!
• It's a celebration for all Hufflepuffs!
• It is occurring June 21st or 28th of this year!
• It will hopefully become an annual tradition!
• It's a gathering!
• It's a dance!
• It's a dinner!
• It's an awards ceremony!
• It's a way to participate on site both OOC and IC!
  
  It's sort of a mash up between prom planning committee and a committee to organize an awards ceremony.

WHO IS NEEDED?

Decorations Committee -

Researches possible theme and selects one (all themes must incorporate gold). Once a theme has been chosen, the Decorations Committee is responsible for selecting the decorations (including entrances, tables, ceilings, walls, etc.) and setting them up as well as taking them down on the night of The Gold Party.

Food Committee -

Selects food and beverages for the night of The Gold Party. This will include snacks as well as a full-scale sit-down dinner.

Entertainment Committee -

Chooses music and is responsible for any other entertainment (crafts, game ideas, etc.) They ensure that the evening's program is followed.

Publicity Committee -

Responsible for getting the word out about The Gold Party to all badgers. This might include creating and displaying posters or banners, putting up a notice on the bulletin board in the Hufflepuff Common Room or making announcements at meal times in the Great Hall.

Awards Committee -

Responsible for selecting awards, conducting votes, determines winners of voted awards, ensuring special awards get acknowledged, and obtain the physical awards.
