here we go.
continuation of Brand New World.

With a final embrace, Evie said goodbye and made her way over to step onto the train. She searched through the hall, unsure of where to really go until she found an empty compartment. Glancing around to make sure no one had called dibs, she slipped inside and sat down on the cushion seat, slowly allowing herself to relax slightly and let it all sink in.
It wasn't long until the train whistled one last time as if to warn whoever hadn't settled in would need to be quick about it. Shifting a bit to unbutton her coat and reveal a plain baggy maroon sweater beneath, Evie shrugged off the coat in hopes that she'd be warm enough without it (along with the scarf). In preparation for this ride, Evie had thought ahead brought with her a small bag with just a few essential items; some money, nausea medicine, a book, a snack or two, and an old iPod her Step-father gave her to listen to her music. Taking the nausea medicine (poor girl was prone to motion sickness quite easily), Evie stared out the window as the train began its slow crawl away from the platform and off to their destination.
Now she was beginning to feel the nervousness settle in the pit of her stomach. She was missing home, missing her mom, missing her family -- biting the inside of her cheek, Evie shifted a little more comfortably in place, leaning completely back into her seat while her heel anxiously bobbed in rhythm to the clack, clack, clacking of the trains wheels as it soon picked up its pace. She tried to soothe her thoughts with the promise of adventures, new friends, and the fact that she'd be learning what most muggles deem to only daydream of; magic! Deciding to distract her mind, she pulled out the book she had brought with her, Howl's Moving Castle, and flipped the page where she last left off.
