π½uth Fairchild stood still on the grounds of Beauxatons, her body slightly bent as she clutched her stomach, groaning. Was that truly how a portkey felt? She recalled the world spiraling into a blur of colours right before her very eyes, then lurching forward and weightless all at once. Well, never doing that again. No matter how thrilling the sensation was. The closest thing she could compare it to was the time she had gone to a travelling carnival as a child, sitting in one of those dizzying spinning rides, where the ground seemed to vanish from beneath her feet and her breath caught somewhere between exhilaration and nausea. But even that paled in comparison.
She stayed in that bent position for a moment, letting the dizziness fade away, then took her first proper look at Beauxatons, losing her breath at the sight. The chΓ’teau loomed in the distance, grand and elegant, its light blue rooftops gleaming under the sky. It was a strangely refreshing sight as compared to Hogwarts' imposing, medieval towers. Ruth wished she had the time to trace those delicate arches with her eyes, but she could do that later. Shaking herself from her admiration, Ruth beckoned the rest of her cabin mates closer--this consisted of Pamela, Aurelia, Ira, Ameko, Saunders, Mamori and Jan. She found herself bemused by the group. Aurelia, Pam and Jan. Ruth had begged to tag along. She couldn't imagine going to France, for goodness sakes, without them. Ira, though? Ruth swallowed the lump of self pity and disgust and turned away from the girl, facing the other three lads instead. Mamori was a familiar presence, and an amazing one at that. The other two, though, were somewhat fresh faces. Saunders she had seen him around with Jan, having played alongside him for the unofficial quidditch. Ameko, on the other hand...
"Come on," she repeated, this time urgently. She could barely wait to get a glimpse of the insides of the cabin. Running her fingers over the wooden doorknob, she took a deep breath, then pushed the door open, the sight making her freeze and breath hitch.
Ruth let out the breath she had been holding, a smile taking over at the thought of sharing stories over the campfire at night. She hoped to get along with everyone for the next few days. That was her wish. While the first theme was underwater and the second was the beach, this theme would be based in the forest. The moment one entered a cabin with this theme, one would be able to hear the gentle pitter patter of rain falling in a forest. And if one looked out the clear window, students and adults alike would see a lush green forest filled with tall trees that formed a light canopy. Every once in a while, if people stared outside observantly they would see creatures native to the forest that was recreated. Perhaps they could see a squirrel, or colourful birds, and perhaps even a moose. A person familiar with forests may be able to identify the view as one from the North American continent. The fog would phase in and out throughout the week the students were there. The living room would be warm and cozy, with a fireplace, as well as a beautiful rug that filled up the place. There would be multiple couches as in the other themes, although they would be dark and brown and black to fit the foggy forest scene. The dining room table would be made of stained wood and fit all eight members of the cabin together, where they could play games, study, or even eat a snack they brought from Beauxbatons' dining hall. There would also be a square coffee table made of wood as well. The bedroom would feel homey and rustic, as if one was camping in a wood cabin up north. The view of the forest would still be visible and the columns and roof of the bedroom would be shaped like a tree trunk. Bunk beds would line the opposite wall so that the view of the forest would be visible from every bed, but at night time the curtains would cover the windows so that people could sleep without the disturbance of light. This cabin would have candle holders the shape of a small cottage in each of the rooms for light at night.

Speech -- Thoughts
Gah. That was disgusting.
Pam glowered at wretched portkey while clutching her stomach with one hand and a half-empty water bottle and a handkerchief with the other. She hadn't puked that bad since she'd had motion sickness. I'm never touching that darn thing again. She glanced at the owl cage next to her, hoping her pet was in a better position than her. Thankfully, Lumi, seemed to be more than alright, so atleast Pam did not have to worry about a sick owl too.
She held up the bottle in her hand and frowned, this won't even last me the morning She shrugged and slipped the bottle into her bag, hopefully this place won't be short of water. She glanced around the place, taking in the scenery before looking around for her roommates. Her eyes spotted a certain Ruth Fairchild, who was pretty much the sole reason Pam was here, and she rushed up to the girl, "Heyy!" If she was not wrong, Ruth had pretty much put their little group together. Pam had to give it to her, she had done good work.
Yet another proof that Ruth loved her; she had invited Ira too. Pam hoped it was because of that and not the desire to pick on her. Pam wouldn't put the latter past her. They were also rooming with Aurelia and Mamori, Pam had heard. And three others she didn't know. One of them was someone she had heard of from Ruth....what was the name again?...Jan? Pam remembered meeting him sometime during an errand, but couldn't remember much about said boy.
As for the other two, she couldn't remember anything about them at all.
She spotted Ira and waved at her, "Ira! IRA!" before remembering the girl next to her. She turned to whisper to Ruth, "Don't kill each other will you? Try to be civil." She glanced behind her, longing to check out the inside of their cabin. She patted Ruth's shoulder, turning to go inside, "I'm just gonna go...." She motioned to the cabin in question, and quickly made her way over to it.

Blinking the whirls of colours away and finding out that he was now on the grounds of Beauxbatons, Ameko exhaled, then suppressed a grin. So many people hated the portkey, stating it was βnausea-inducingβ and βoh, Iβm never doing that againβ and sounds of retching to be followed. He thought it was quite thrilling, like those fast spinning rides that kept you sticking to the far side of the seat, waved up and down then went backwards in amusement parks. People were weird, dramatic, and unreliable for the tamest of things. He wanted to do that again soon.
The Palace of Beauxbatons had lots of gardens and fountains, fancy, elegant and bright, very different to the medieval world of Hogwarts. The chateau itself was grandiose, blues and whites a stark contrast to what he was used to, the spires and rooftops competing with the mountains surrounding it. If Hogwarts was a haunted (well, it was, but that was beside the point) horror movie castle, rumoured to house evil creatures and trap anyone who ever entered, then this palace was the type to fall under a sleeping curse from a jealous sorceress or provide home for a beast waiting for his one true love. Well, this was France. One of the three largest wizarding schools in Europe. Ameko didnβt think heβd expected anything else.
Speaking of whichβ¦ he hadnβt travelled here alone. His cabin mates - Pamela, Aurelia, Ira, Janosch (or did he prefer Jan?), Mamori (hmm, a fellow Japanese guy), and Saunders - were following the unofficial leader, Ruth Fairchild (sheβd been one of the people left groaning and dizzy from the portkey). Ameko knew Jan from a Defence Against the Dark Arts class, but didnβt know him that well. Heβd also seen Ruth and Saunders around Jan before at different times. The rest were basically complete strangers.
Heβd have to stalk them some more to get more information. It probably wouldnβt be too hard. And, wellβ¦
Fortunately, for the next few days, they were stuck with him.

Merlinβs beard! Ira has never used a portkey before, and if she could help it, she'd stay away from it for as long as she lived. But of course they were required to travel back to Hogwarts through the portkey again. Ira took a slow gulp of air after it seemed as though the air was squeezed out of her body. She blinked down at the ground as her surroundings wobbled, and she swayed forward before turning her attention to Rhythm, her crup, whom she had clutched against her chest through the entire ride.
Ira loosened her grip on her puppy and stroked her gently while whispering, "Are you alright, sweetie?" Given the number of times she called Rhythm by that endearment, people began to think her pet's name might actually be Sweetie. Rhythm yipped in confusion at first but then calmed down quickly. She looked up at Ira with her little forked tail flicking and bounced around, drawing a soft giggle out of her. At least one of them enjoyed the trip.
Ira didn't. Well, at least partially. And you might know the cause. If not, let me spell it outβRUTH FAIRCHILD. She couldnβt believe she put herself in a position where she was stuck having to spend the next few days with that idiot. Ughh! And itβs all thanks to Pamela Graham, her best friend who dragged her along. Maybe she should have escaped to somebody else's cabin... But that wasnβt an option. Pam was someone she'd call her home in Hogwarts.
Speaking of, the said girl called out for Ira. Ira turned around with a grin (pretending Ruth didnβt exist), "Yes, Pam. I see you! Give me a second!" She shouted back before fishing around in her enchanted satchel and pulling out the self-walking leash for Rhythm.
Ira let her eyes move between her cabinmates and offered them a gentle smile. She was acquainted with everyone here except for Ameko, whom she noticed in class but never talked with. She remembered whatever little interaction she had with Jan, Saunders, and Mamori back in the unofficial Quidditch and Aurelia during the broom race.
Ira couldn't help but roll her eyes hard at the self-proclaimed leader of the gang's "come on." What? Would they all wander aimlessly or stay put in the place if not for her oh-so-necessary guidance? Still, she simply walked towards the cabin and avoided commenting on it, given that she promised herself (for the nth time) that this time she would keep her emotions in control.

Kids are not allowed to travel through portkeys alone, and every student in Hogwarts should be accompanied by an adult. At least. Aurelia is a half-blood who was raised mainly in a muggle environment. This case caused her to be more eager than anyone to try new things in her perspective that involve magic. Studying about portkeys had been fruitful, and she decided it was convenient for fast travel, especially when one is in a state of urgency. The rest, however, is not actually worth it. There is a reason why Aurelia bears extreme dislike for their flying lessons, or how her delicate face is always streaked with tears like the world is about to end whenever she is flying on a broom. It was because she has a fear of heights, has severe motion sickness, and would prefer it very much if the soles of her Mary Janes were touching the grass expanse. A Hogwarts staff member has accompanied Aurelia Valentine that day. Her vision blurred, and she was standing remarkably still. Her deep brown eyes are wide as though she met the Grim Reaper firsthand. The travel being described in books as nausea-inducing must be underestimating the situation. She felt like her body glitched at an astral plane, her soul crossing and revolving within and around worlds, like reality warped in her very eyes. Colours spinning are inherently possible. Her stomach performed a couple of somersaults, the nerves on her forehead throbbing, and her throat closing in and opening for it is ready to say its good-bye for whatever breakfast she had that morning. The young Hufflepuff witch blinked, trying to make the black dots in her vision disappear. This journey should cross between Hogwarts and Beauxbatons, Scotland and France. Not spirit realms. Mum, I'm about to die. βLeave me alone,β the young badger practically snapped at the staff when they asked if she was okay. She, perhaps, looked like she was having the time of her life. When the staff disappeared to escort other students, she threw her enchanted leather satchel on the soil before running towards a tall oak tree. The grass underneath her Mary Janes produced a loud crunching sound at her very steps as soon as she hid behind a tree trunk. Gripping her stomach, she regurgitates her breakfast like a woman possessed. Her wiry and unruly curls cascaded forward as she kept her head bowed, tears immediately filling her deep brown eyes. That was a buttered toast, hot chocolate, and mashed potatoes that is wasted; all of them looked like they are yet to go through the digestive process. Her body trembled all over as her mouth let out a small whimper like a wounded animal in the woods. She spat out the excess saliva, as the soil was decorated with her supposed delicious and nutritional breakfast. βMum,β she whimpered once again, her hand trembling as she attempted to collect her long curls into a bunch. That portkey reminded her of lifts back in London. They were fast and not at all considerate. Her knees buckled, and she let herself crumble against the forest floor, not minding the dirt that would decorate her flared jeans. Merlin, it is so hotβAurelia pulled the sleeves of her loose green turtleneck sweater up to elbow length. Homesickness and now this: motion sickness. She would love it if she could go home, as she particularly knew she'd sport a fever for a few days. She leaned against the tree trunk, assessing her body as if it would still like to regurgitate nothing in particular. Her eyes scoured the surroundings, and she was only met with a lush forest. Aurelia knew nothing about forests as she had never entered one, but still, this forest looked like it was kind of healthy. There was a greyish cast overhead, foreshadowing the arrival of a long rain. Her head throbbing, she tried her hardest to appreciate the view. She loved green, and this particular view looked so satisfying in her eyes; an assortment of green and brown is one of her favourite combinations. Letting out a quivering sigh, Aurelia retrieved her black walnut wand from her pocket. βScourgify,β a delicate S movement from her wand, and her waste is gone. Satisfied with her wand work, she pocketed her black walnut and grabbed her leather satchel, withdrawing a pack of tissue from it before graciously wiping her mouth. For this trip, Aurelia packed everything she could that she deemed necessary for the journey. Unlike when she first embarked on the Hogwarts Express, where she brought two trunks for personal items and two suitcases for her books only, she now had a possession of an enchanted leather satchel she bought from Hogsmeade. In just one satchel, she now could pack a trunk's worth of items. She abused this feature too, as her private quarters in Badger Bungalow might as well be empty of the reminder that she temporarily lived there. She packed a set of clothes and personal items, her academic materials still in there too (as she found herself always re-affirming her memory about information she had read before), and a couple of books she was currently reading in case she got bored. No one had to know, but the books she checked out from Hogwarts Library are packed there too, like The Muggle-Magic Conundrum: Interactions & Incidents, a digestive case study where the Wizarding World and Muggle World collide, that she checked out from the Legal Section of the library. She was sure that is somehow breaking the rules. Aurelia Valentine sat on the trunk, checking her leather satchel. She packed multiple pranking items that she couldn't believe she bought from a notorious Hufflepuff who overtaxed his items. No matter, if she wasn't happy on Valentine's Day, then no one should. A homing enchanted snowball for couples she will catch kissing? Perfect, chef's kiss, if someone bothers to ask her opinion on the matter. The young badger let out an evil chuckle, formulating a plan in her brilliant mind to make this Valentine's very much unbearable for everyone. She felt her stomach lurch once more, so she crouched to vomit her last remaining breakfast once again, whimpering. |

β β Among Saunders' list of favourite activities, which was a long one, travelling to France featured prominently. The Napier boy was a quintessential Englishman, yes, and of course, many elements in stereotypical Frenchness were strikingly alien to him; yet, and yet... The practice of all depressed Napier women leaving their toddlers with their nannies and heading for the French Riviera had been practised for so long that it had become almost an established custom and had spread, leading to a marked interest in the South, among all members of the family. If Saunders sometimes daydreamed of himself in France, well, this possibly was the most metaphysical reason behind it. Of course, the fact that his beloved grandmother, Henriette Napier, was a Frenchwoman from Biarritz too reinforced his interest in the country. But who would prefer the straight road to the more circuitous one? Maybe goats, but certainly not someone blue-blooded.
As sufficiently clear, Saunders had been to France several times before. Whilst he found the French language rather strange and unlearnable, he nevertheless derived a certain amount of pleasure from the fragments of French life presented to his scrutiny. Notwithstanding all his ambition and his almost whimsical yearning to be carried on shoulders, Saunders often caught himself enamoured of such environments, where the rhythm of life expanded and time lost its Weberian value. But now it was not only France, but also the BeauxbΓ’tons. Saunders could pronounce this word with near perfection, along with several other phrases he had learnt from Henriette la Vieille.
February was gruelling in itself, with its bitter cold not to Saunders' liking. Moreover, it included a day in honour of the eternal patron saint of lovers. Saunders recalled his first kiss in the Regulus Black dormitory, that half-hearted, limp, neither happy nor regretful experience. "Merlin," he thought, "I hope I don't have to kiss, it's a horrid custom."
The Portkey journey to BeauxbΓ’tons was uneventful. With family members scattered far and wide, the Napiers frequently used all forms of magical transport that ever existed. Saunders hadn't yet boarded the Knight Bus, true, but other than that, the collection was already complete. It was neither France nor portkey that worried the young snake, but the inevitable test of his social skills. Of the seven other people with whom he was to share the cabin (Merlin, there were going to be eight of them, what was this, a medieval hospice?) he was acquainted only with Jan. Who were the others? Apart from their names? Saunders hoped, the best he could hope for, that he would meet a crowd that did not snore, did not indulge in idle chatter and was not utterly devoid of the virtue of seriousness.
When he stepped into the cabin, the sight of girls everywhere was enough to send a slight shiver down his spine. Hadn't Jan arrived yet? Terrible. Saunders was confident in his small talk abilities, but as an eleven-year-old boy who had just been kissed, the opposite sex had become a different, separate species in his eyes. The differences he had not thought about before were now like a worm gnawing inside his juvenile mind.
He left his trunk in a corner. He had neither the energy nor the will to bother unpacking it as soon as he arrived. His eye fell on a girl (@Aurelia Valentine) sitting on her trunk, rummaging through her satchel, not looking very well. Saunders thought one of the very first sentences Wyatt had said to him. Why shouldn't he quote it? "Hey, do try not to vomit," he said, trying to put the broom racer's expression on his face. Sentences like that made for good conversation in the Slytherin Common Room, maybe they would work in a cabin in France?β β

| In Mamori's vast eleven years of existence, he'd noticed Ministry folks had a peculiar tendency toward being stick-in-the-mud idiots. The evidence was painfully clear every month-end when his mother would switch from reading him bedtime stories to drowning herself in butterbeer, ranting about her superior's superior's superior and their remarkable talent for making life difficult for actual working wizards, all while nursing her hand that had been reduced to a cramped mess from writing reports.
But he had to admit, for all their stuffiness, the Ministry seemed to have a soft spot for kids. Free Hogwarts tuition aside, they'd even carve out an entire week from precious class time to ship students off on all-expenses-paid field trips. Through his correspondence with his dad and grandparents, Mamori knew this kind of thing was practically unheard of in other countries or Muggle society β it was either charity or a scam, no in-between. So yeah, Mamori's feelings toward the Ministry hovered around zero on the hostility scale, maybe even tipping slightly into gratitude territory. Whether this generosity came from the Ministry's coffers or those loaded governors sitting on Hogwarts' board β well, that was above his pay grade. Gratitude first, questions later.
As for Valentine's Day itself, watching couples like his parents getting all mushy wasn't exactly riveting entertainment. But using it as an excuse for a field trip was a different story entirely. If this became a tradition, Valentine's might just become his favorite holiday of the year.
Truth was, Mamori had never been away from Britain this long before. Thanks to his parents' soul-crushing work schedules, their family "trips" usually involved portkey-hopping to Quidditch matches β same-day in, same-day out affairs. Sure, he'd technically visited quite a few countries, but his experience was limited to their Quidditch pitches. Scenery? Local cuisine? Culture? Sorry, none of that on the menu. So France! Beauxbatons! A warm southern paradise compared to Scotland's winter hell, with its blue-domed palace, fancy white marble columns, gardens, and fountains! Anyone claiming not to be excited was clearly lying through their teeth.
Clutching Jugemu's talons with a heart doing the cha-cha, Mamori emerged among the last from the portkey. He'd barely managed to sweet-talk the new nurse into releasing him from his semi-recovered state just in time for this trip. But instead of being greeted by birdsong and beautiful fountains, his nostrils were assaulted by an all-too-familiar scent of vomit carried on the breeze.
Looking ahead, he found several people doubled over β and naturally, some just had to be his groupmates. Sure, Miss Curly Locks had cast a cleaning charm on her contribution, but the smell β oh, the smell lingered.
Well, that's one way to make a first impression. Nothing says "British charm" quite like christening foreign soil with your breakfast. Though maybe this was a small step for Hogwarts students, one giant leap for destroying British stereotypes.
At least the sick wasn't black β perfectly healthy color, no medical attention needed. Small mercies.
While he was standing there making his professional assessment, Vomit Champion Number One (aka Pam) had already recovered and was waving everyone over. Mamori jogged over to still-queasy Aurelia and some vaguely familiar blonde boy, taking it upon himself to pat Aurelia's back. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let's make a break for our cabin. If round two's coming, save it for the bathroom β no need to give the French more entertainment. I'll carry your trunk this time, but don't expect free labor next time." Better get her out of sight before more people saw them, he'd rather not have Aurelia become known as The Vomiting Girl throughout Beauxbatons, which would inevitably make him The Pink-Haired Kid Who Hangs With The Vomiting Girl by association. Not exactly the reputation he was aiming for.
Slinging his Mokeskin backpack over his shoulder, he waited for Aurelia to step away from her trunk before grabbing it, ready to bolt for their cabin.
Seriously though, if any of these motion-sickness champions ever made it onto the quidditch or broom racing teams, he'd be betting on their opponents every single match. A simple portkey shouldn't leave anyone this green around the gills.| βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ

The forest must have witnessed more atrocious things than a foreign student, who only had stepped on the forest soil of France for the first time, only to vomit their breakfast. It is ungrateful of her, surely, to stain the land where Antoine de Saint-ExupΓ©ry, Alexandre Dumas, and Victor Hugo were birthed. Known French classic writers and novelists she very much adores, and now she is involuntarily tarnishing their homeland. Aurelia straightened, grabbing another batch of tissue to wipe her mouth with. Her head is pounding, and her vision is blurring from tears; thank you very much, motion sickness and that idiotic portkey. She could not possibly appreciate France in this state, as being a fragile girl since she was a child, fever always left her bedridden in days. The young badger stared off into the distance, looking at nothing in particular, attempting to assess her entire being if she would be sick for days. Usually she could tell; she believed one could tell if one were to fall into sickness. However, she was snapped out of her reassessment when a boy talked from her side. She lifted her gaze up at him, unable to process his words at first. Who is this person? She had never seen him before. The boy is currently donning a formal suit, and she wondered firsthand if the French liked to dress in formal attire. Then his words dawned on her.Β Hey, do try not to vomit while sporting an expression she could not even make out. At first, of course, she initially wondered if the prospect of being surrounded by the half-witted would perhaps never end. Curtis Gates had been a pain in the arse; she couldn't have met another immediately in France. Is she a magnet for those types of people? What qualities of her attract them, most of all? Her delicate face contorted into a deep scowl, hostility already swirling in her deep brown eyes. Unaware of the fact that the boy shares the same cottage cabin with her and he was not a Beauxbatons student at all, Aurelia smoothed her features, but the bridge of her nose is crinkled slightly, an expression she always wears whenever she is about to make a snarky or a sarcastic remark. βI deeply apologise,βΒ Aurelia coughed in order to clear her throat, as her voice quivered from the short snivel she made from vomiting,Β βI was not aware that I could vomit in my own accordanceβjust like that. Thank you for letting me know; I'm stupid like that.βΒ The young Hufflepuff witch rolled her eyes at him, and as though she realised that the boy would not be able to understand her sarcasm as his first statement had sounded like a half-witted person would actually procure, she continued on.Β βDid it ever occur to you, perhaps while you were walking towards me, that I would not be crouching here, possibly regurgitating myΒ innards, if I could help it? Oh, we both know the answer to that. Merlin, there's so much stupidity in here that an angel must be weeping right about now.βΒ An imbecile repellant: outright hostility. It works wonders; it was not efficient on Curtis Gates, though. No matter; not everyone is like that Ravenclaw boy. Her attention was snatched when a familiar candyfloss-like colour for a hair appeared near the cabin with his infamous owl. Aurelia felt her little heart leap, unaware of the combined joy and relief to see Mamori Anezaki well. When he jogged over in their direction, she suddenly had this urge to regurgitate her breakfast again, especially when the pink-haired badger patted her back with a carefree expression on his face. That vision kept transitioning to the happenings on February 8th, when Mamori fainted in front of her, convulsing terribly while black tears covered her emerald-coloured eyes and also vomiting obsidian, thick ink from consuming the unlabelled potions consecutively. His carefree expression kept shifting to that tortured expression he wore while convulsing, still vivid and perhaps forever burnt in her mind. Aurelia reminded herself that Mamori Anezaki is alive and well, currently standing before her as though he was never overdosed and did not fall into a vegetative state for literal days in the Hospital Wing. He even managed to come along on this here Beauxbatons trip. In fact, she could even forget that the wretched event even happened. It did not happen at all. The young Hufflepuff witch let out a sigh in apprehension, as she knew fooling herself was not the way in order to drive away the fear that lurked in her mind. It will make the matters worse, plus it will be insensitive, as deliberately forgetting about it meant invalidating the pain Mamori felt and endured that day. βI wouldn't think about the French if I were dying, Anezaki,βΒ her tone had been less snarky, giving him a pass for almost bridging towards the unknown last week. With a worried glint in her tired eyes, Aurelia stood away from her trunk, letting Mamori grab her trunk. She watched the back of his head as though she was about to drop dead any second. She slung the leather strap of her enchanted satchel on her shoulder before turning to the boy earlier, with her deep brown eyes squinted slightly. She scanned the boy again, from his blond hair down to his polished shoes. There is a glint of approval in her eyes, the corner of her lips upturned marginally. He looks presentable, at least. He doesn't wear his attire in such a sloppy manner just like Edwin Westbridge had. This smart appearance of his contributed to the impression that he must be orderly and organised; his blond hair was swept to the side neatly too. Too bad this intelligent demeanour seemed like it did not reflect in his mind at all, basing this observation on her first impression of him that is perhaps forever instilled in her.Β βI recommend readingΒ The Little PrinceΒ by Antoine de Saint-ExupΓ©ry. It's my favourite book, by the way. It will do you good to read books in order to enhance your mind, especially comprehension and common sense. If you managed to understand the moral of the story in that children's book, get back to me.βΒ Letting out a haughty huff, Aurelia ambulated away with a proud stride, her chin tilted slightly upwards as she followed Mamori towards the cottage cabin. |

Speech -- Thoughts
The inside of the cabin was perhaps as pretty, if not more, than the outside. Pam found herself livelier than normal as she ran throughout the cabin, taking in all the magical and the non-magical things before hopping her back down to the ground and the door.
Few of the others had come inside so far and Pam was gradually getting impatient. However to her luck, she spotted two familiar faces she hadn't spoken to earlier and with a happy grin bounded over to the two, smacking into the pink-haired boy and not at all bothering to apologise. "Hey! You two!! I've finally found you guys."
She took her chance to give Mamori Anezaki a once-over, thanking the heavens that the boy had recovered well enough after the ordeal about a week ago. He was not dead. Everyone was okay. They were together for now. There was no need to panick. For now. She smiled at him, "I'm glad you're doing alright. Don't get into so much trouble again. By which I mean drinking random unknown potions." Pam froze as she remembered the fact that she had had one herself and then shrugged. Oh well. Rather one than ten.
She clapped her hands, hopping slightly on her heels, finding an excess of energy in her which she needed to expell. So she pointed to the deeper end of the cabin she had already investigated, and said, because she was not really using her brain, "Want to check it out?"

As soon as they arrived at their cottage, Jan quickly rushed to the bed bunks and claimed the lowest one. βDib this!β he called, making sure that the boys in the cabin knew about it. He quickly tossed his bag onto the mattress before crawling in to test out the bed. The quality of the bed is pretty great, it made Jan wonder if he could attend Beauxbatons with all this luxury and comfortβnot that he could afford to attend either. But so far, it feels a lot like his aunt's house back in Vienna.
The room was slightly smaller than he imagined, but it has a rustic sort of charm that makes it cozy to stay at. Nothing to complain about at all, really. He pushed himself up and dusted off his clothes after all the boys in the bedroom claimed their own. βAlright, lads,β Jan said, clearing his throat. βDonβt doze off, we have things to do after this. Iβm going to the living room now.β
With that being said, Jan searched through his bag to find his sudoku book and blue pen before walking out and making his way down to the short hallway that leads to the living room. The area was as cozy as the bedroom, but it has a larger and open space (obviously) with a fireplace at its center, crackling at its finest. His eyes quickly gazed at the tall windows where he could see a few of the other students from many different schools gathered around, seemingly chatting with each other as they made their way to their cabin.
I guess I like this place already, Jan thought to himself once he plopped himself down to the couch. He could tell why Ruth chose this place out of all the others. The semi-modernized cottage probably reminded her a lot like the Hufflepuff common roomβall so cozy, peaceful and nature-themed similar to the cabin, if he recalled Ruth telling him about the common room. Then he realized, heβs never going to be at peace despite it all when he witnessed what just happened right in front of him.
