My mom said I have to use emails because texting people over the ocean costs money and email doesn't. I didn't know that.
Anyway, Merry Christmas and happy New Year! How have you been doing? I've been doing pretty good.
I'm spending Christmas in New York with my parents and my aunt. She's a clothes designer, and she's really cool. She sort of reminds me of you when she gets mad. I didn't really notice that until now.
It's pretty late in the evening right now but my parents are out of the apartment and I think Aunt Paige is doing work stuff so no one's here to peer over my shoulder and ask me a million questions. Not that Aunt Paige or Dad would, but my mom probably would. My mom is really nosy, is your mom nosy? Does she want to know your every thought? It seems like my mom does.
Sometimes I think there's a difference in talking with your hands and talking out loud. Everything feels more permanent in sign, or writing, than in spoken words. I think, at least. It's hard to lie, to hide things in sign. You can't put your hands in your pockets if they're shaking. I think my mom thinks that it's more open, that talking with sign means sharing everything. Not that I want to hide anything but privacy would be nice.
I don't know what she'll think of that if (or when) she reads it, and to be honest I don't really care. You're blunt and honest. I should be, too.
It's pretty warm today for winter, and it's been raining all day. The pressure's all over the place. Gives me a headache. How's the weather where you're at?
I had a lot of fun in London when we were there with everyone. I see Cyrus a lot, but it's sad that I don't see the rest of you except for balls and camp. You're cool. I like hanging out with you. Maybe I should convince my parents to let me live in South America. Isn't there a waterfall or something at your school?

P.S. Here's cool ducks my dad took a picture of at a pond near our house. He likes photography. He had a really cool camera, but I don't get to use it because I tend to drop things.

How rich are you if you didn't know about the international texting fee? That shits expensive man. All my money goes towards ice creams, since I finally got the broom I wanted for Christmas and its SO HOT HERE I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO DIE. But also IT'S AN ACTUAL SILVER ARROW, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Next years summer Quidditch is gonna be so awesome. I'm going to actually kill the other team.
But yeah Christmas has been good? Like I said, I got the broom. I had to pay half with my summer job money but whatever because its ACTUALLY MINE. I've been flying it around the house since I got it, because we live in the city and if someone saw me I would probably get in trouble with the government or something idk. But I had to stop because I broke a plate and also made my phone stop working (Apparently its like reverse science and magic and electricity don't work together? Which sucks because I wanted to play subway surfers but like whatever I guess).
New York sounds really cool, don't they have like the effiel tower there or something? And I guess I'm gonna take that as a compliment because I'm amazing and like the best Quidditch player in the world. I don't know my mom, but shes probably a nosy bitch. I'm adopted. It's cool, I'm happier here. Maria and Ada (the women who adopted me) aren't nosy at all, but Ada is a little bit mad about the plate I broke. Whatever though, I had to practice.
Parents reading emails is weird. I would probably run away again if mine tried. I get called too honest a lot, which is a nice way of saying "SHUT UP ACACIA". But I don't care. If they want me to shut up then they can fight me. And don't you try to lie to me about it being warm there, you have not seen summer. But YEAH YOU SHOULD, ITS AWESOME HERE. I don't know if I'm really supposed to tell you about school, but yeah we do have a waterfall. Sometimes I like to go flying so close to it that I get wet. It's actually so nice in summer. If we ever have a ball at Castelobruxo I will show you, its way better than boring ass Hogwarts.
Anyway, my hands hurt and writing is boring, so bye for now. Those ducks look cool, and tell your dad to just get a strap for your camera so it won't matter if you drop it.
