Closed Now's the time to hide and seek II

XXXEonaria gasped in shock at Brie's allegations. "No no, my lady, you have misunderstood! I merely noted we have no diamond spoons! We still have, er, diamond knives and diamond chopsticks!" She nodded aggressively. Brie moved on from the topic, clearing the accent to discuss wonderful chocolate.

XXX"Next time I sneak into Honeydukes, I'll bring you back some chocolate frogs, chocolate rochers, and chocoballs," Eonaria commented, grinning. "I can be your personal supplier of chocolate. I do hope you'll pay me well." She joked.

XXX"If I get a 20% raise, maybe they'll even come on diamond platters." All the chatter about chocolate was making her feel a little hungry, but the thought of eating chocolate frogs now made her want to stay near the trash can of damp bread just in case.

"Ooh, History of Magic! Is it interesting so far?" Eonaria frowned thoughtfully, her mind clearing away the chocolate-y thoughts. "I think History tends to garner a reputation for the most boring class, but as long as the content is presented in an interesting way, it can be super fun." She paused, thinking back to some of the spells they learned randomly in class.

XXX"A lot of charms are paired with classes that don't have much to do with the actual spell. I wonder why they couldn't just give us more frequent classes? I wouldn't mind too much- I don't have a lot of things to do outside of classes and homework," Eonaria admitted slightly bashfully. Oh dear, she had said quite a lot.

"How about next time you sneak into Honeydukes, you're bringing me with you" she offered excitedly. She wouldn't peg her friend to be the type to do such thing. Her innocent looks lend her a protective cloak of goodie-two-shoes aura, but then again, that was also the case for this young Raven, and she was currently on a quest to break all the rules. All in all, she shouldn't be even surprised, really.

Descending down a flight of stairs, Sabrina chuckled at the Gryffs bargaining nature "you have a thing for diamonds, don't ya?" she commented, looking up at her friend as they neared the dungeons.

"I mean, we have the same curriculum, so you tell me" she smirked, fingers drumming against the other girls forearm as she thought "Hmm.. If I were to choose one subject that was the most boring of them all, I'd definitelly go with Astronomy. It's dreadful" she groaned, momenteraly tipping her head back as if to emphasise her theatrics.

"Not History though. I really like that- it's like a mine-field of rabbit holes to fall into, isn't it?" she offered her opinion on the subject. It was true that the History lessons - or rather their professor's storytelling skills - often left her at the edge of her seat, devouring every word spoken as if starving for the information, often researching the subjects further in her private library study sessions.

Nari's observation earned the girl an eager nod from the Raven "That's what I was also wondering! You'd think that most of them would be included in charms, but no." Sabrina said. To be frank, she wouldn't be against more classes - bar Astronomy - but something told her that her and her Gryff friend might be an exception rather than the rule.

XXXEonaria grinned at Brie's hopeful invitation to take her along to Honeydukes next time. "Sure. But how am I gonna find you?" She paused, looking around. "Wait a minute. Didn't you have History of Magic? The one on the first floor?" Eonaria pointed upwards.

XXX"I know we have the same curriculum!" She laughed. "I was just wondering what other people thought of it. Speaking of curriculum, yikes, it's getting very close to the beginning of class." She was starting to get jitters. Being late to class was one of her worst, er, everyday fears. Other than toppling down the stairs or some other topics she'd rather not talk about. Eonaria gasped as Brie declared Astronomy to be a dreadful class.

XXX"No! How dare you!" She pretended to faint. "The stars are amazing. Uh, about Astronomy, I might've snuck in there too. A couple days ago, after curfew." She hid a grin. Now that she thought about it, she was breaking a lot more rules than she thought she would before coming to Hogwarts.

XXX"Yeah, History gives me so many questions," Eonaria shook her head. "It makes me wonder what we'll learn in the later years. We'll probably work our way into the more recent eras, right?" She tried to recall everything she learned about at home, but to be honest, it wasn't all that interesting reading about History. Those study sessions made Eonaria want to thunk her head down on the table, whereas History of Magic actually allowed her to retain the information.

XXXSabrina seemed to wholeheartedly agree that they should have more classes to cover more material, causing Eonaria to let out a sigh of relief. She was sort-of-maybe-almost expecting a weird look, like 'more class?? Are you crazy??' "If they put most of the spells in Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, everyone would cry at the amount of homework due all in one day," Eonaria grimaced. "Most of the week would be easy, and then there's doom day: Charms class," she joked. Of course, no offense to Charms.

Sabrina grinned back at her friend.

"You can always owl me. I'd actually like to keep the tradition alive," she confessed, her brows raising slightly as her mind began to expand on the sentiment "Oh actually - how about we do? I hope we hang out loads but what about we owl once in a while? Say, once a month? Like a mini update. Each letter, we could still ask a question the other would have to answer. What do you say?" she spoke the words as soon as they entered her brain, the excitement in her voice noticably building up as the idea formed.

The Raven grinned at her friend's observation, catching her hand and guiding it with her own to point it at the corridor in front of them.

"I do. And you, m'lady, have potions. Told you I'd walk you - pardon - escort you there" she pointed out with a satisfied smile, letting go of Nari's hand which was now directed at the Potion's classroom doors.

Sabrina hummed in agreement, partially awaiting the bell to ring in a few seconds, but not saying anything, letting her friend state her - very false - case on Astronomy. "Stars are incredible to look at, not overanalyze" she somewhat agreed and disagreed in the same time.

Pausing momenteraly, using their linked arms to support the Griff in her feign-faint. "No way- Astronomy?! That must be like - one of the lamest places to sneak into" she laught, patting Nari's forearm the same way an adult would half-heartedly congratulate a kindergardener on their "big" achievement "still wanna hear all about it" she clarified.

"I would hope so" Sabrina nodded. At tnis point, they were almost at the door, so she stopped to give herself a few more seconds to reply "from where we are now, the wizarding community looks like the ultimate villain with it's blind arrogance and sense of superiority - Merlin, even talking about it makes me angry. I knew it used to be bad but this is brutal. I just can't believe that - egh" she cut herself off with a sharp shake of her head. "I could go on but we unfortunately don't have time for that." she sighed, beggining to walk again. This was one of the topics she was really passionate about. If it weren’t for the fact that Nari was late to Potions, probably the best class there was, she probably wouldn't have had the mental power to stop herself from rambeling on.

As it was, she untangled their arms -the loss of contact getting to her immediately - and reached for the door handle.

A sudden wave of gratefulness hit the young witch, the realisation of how lucky she was to meet Nari brought up in her mind once more. It was incredible how similiar the girls were. How many people would agree that sneaking off into a nearby village was okay, and also that having more classes would actually be fun?

"Doomsday with the Angel of death in a form of professor Fresnel" she followed up jokingly. Pulling the door open - the sounds of chatter from inside spilling into the corridor - she held it that way for her friend, swaying her arm in an inviting gesture.

"Let's see eachother again soon, okay?" she said, reaching for her friend to give her a goodbye hug.

XXX"The tradition?" Eonaria asked, her brain stopping for a moment. "Oh- owls? Aren't- wait, what other way is there to communicate? Other than, I dunno, what was that spell called? The Patronus Spell? And Muggle technology doesn't work in Hogwarts... But yeah, sure! I'd love to continue sending riddles." She smiled.

XXX"Ah, okay," Eonaria sighed. "I just figured you would stop at your class and I could walk the rest of the way by myself. Thank you, though. Hold on- aren't you the lady? I'm the butler!" She huffed. Brie commented that Astronomy was a lame place to sneak into, which Eonaria severely disagreed with.

XXX"No way! Haven't you seen it at night? The whole classroom is gorgeous! It's like a glowing atrium." She shook her head in despair. "And the telescopes!! You have to look at the stars up close! I can't believe you can't comprehend the beauty of Astronomy," Eonaria joked slightly. "As for History... um, yikes." She brushed her hair out of her face. "I kind of wish we could skip over that part."

XXX"Hey! Professor Fresnel is amazing," she grumbled. "Even if she was teaching doomsday class, I'd still love Charms! Other than the homework." Sabrina unlinked their arms, causing Eonaria to pout slightly. "Okay, bye! See you... soon, hopefully! I'll be on the lookout for you at lunch." She grinned, hugging Brie back and jogging to her classroom.
