__ Eye colour: Red
Skin colour: Green
Native to: Northern Europe

Ministry of Magic Classification: Beast XXX (meaning: These creatures should be no trouble to competent wizards.)
After a busy morning in which all teams had the opportunity to brew their best potions, using all their knowledge and best of skills, professors @Melisande Lennox and Méabh Regan would be waiting for the brave and daring contestants at the Quidditch Stadium. Alongside them was the prestigious and international panel of judges, constituted by Hogwarts' @Hjørdis Jensen and @Dusana Sabo, @Célestine de la Croix-Valmer from Beauxbatons, @Évodie Ndoto Masudi of Uagadou and Hugo da Silva [NPC] former Castelobruxo's potions professor and a renown author.
It was mid-autumn and the Scottish highlands would welcome them with gray skies and a very unpleasant cold wind. Meli looked at the heavy clouds forming a dense blanket that threatened to dissolve into raindrops and hoped that wouldn't happen for a while longer. Behind her, the representatives of the various schools participating in the tournament were sitting comfortably, they would be the ones who would evaluate the performance of all the teams and they would be the ones who would decide the winner in the end. Who among them would deserve to walk out of the stadium with a shiny new golden cauldron and bring honor and prestige to their names? Melisande knew that she flinched a little when she saw some of the potions being prepared...now she only could hope for the best!
The Quidditch Stadium was completely renovated and prepared to receive the event. In it, three different sections could be found, each prepared for the challenges corresponding to each age group.
First Section:
There, in the first third part of the Stadium, a dense forest had blossomed. Tall pines were separated by bushes that hid the ground from anyone looking or trying to cross the forest. Well, unfortunately for the competitors, it would be precisely on the ground that the mischievous little Red Caps would hide! Inside their holes they would wait with their bludgeons until their victims dared to penetrate the dense vegetation. Once the adventurous students entered the forest their mission would prove to be quite difficult, of course! To achieve prestige the challenges could not be easy to overcome!
Melisande and Méabh were standing together, making themselves noticed among the seated spectators, as they waited for all the competition participants to arrive at the place where the last part of the Potions Championship would be held. Once all the contestants were present, Meli, with her voice amplified by the Sonorus spell, would finally address everyone present, "Dear students and honorer guests, welcome to the third and final part of the Potions Championship. As you can see, in front of you is not the usual sight that we are used to finding inside our Quidditch Stadium. The organisation of this event took liberties and transformed it into a more suitable setting for this contest.”
“First, inside that lush green forest,” Meli continued pointing with her hand and outstretched arm towards the patch of tall trees, “There is a basket of apples that needs to be retrieved. Unfortunately, it is in the possession and custody of a group of mischievous Red Caps. You’ll need to use all your courage and wits to succeed in this dangerous mission."
"Completing your task should be your main goal, but let me remind you that you’ll lose points if you get yourself harmed or any of the Red Caps. I hope you’ve done your best and brewed the most outstanding potions!” She merrily ended saying, giving the crowd one of her brightest smiles. It certainly would be entertaining!
“So when you are ready…” She started again, looking at the youngest students with an encouraging nod and smile, “Remember you will only have one hour to finish this challenge, when the time is over so it is your opportunity to succeed. Time starts as soon as you enter your challenge field. In your case, as soon as you cross the gate in the fence surrounding the pine forest. Time will stop counting when you return."
"Pay attention to your surroundings, remember everything you have learned so far, trust your companions and I’m sure you’ll be victorious! Good luck!” Then she would give them a signal, letting them know that they were free to enter the forest and start their challenge.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:@Eonaria Kabukimono, @Nabi ParkTHIRD CHALLENGE FOR 1ST AND 2ND YEAR
- Retrieve a basket of apples from a dense patch of forest - it is guarded by Red Caps.
- The groups will be judged and rated by a prestigious panel of international wizards, by the following criteria:1. Quality of the potions2. Successful completion of the task3. How fast they finished the task4. Injuries and other harm to the competitors5. Injuries and other harm to the beastsjjjj
- The tasks will be performed in the same groups that brewed the potions in the first and second part. Each member of the group will have one dose of each of the two potions they brewed to use - but be careful, their effect will depend on the success of the brewing stage, and a bad brew might harm more than help!
(This potion is IC only and only usable for this thread - there is no potion item associated with this.)
- The event has a total of three moderated rounds, after which the time is up! Your characters can perform one moderated action per round (incl. casting spells - think adventure threads, balls, sports etc.). Using a potion as a bonus action (can be performed additionally to the moderated action). You can use both potions in the same round, in this case one potion counts as the first moderated action and the second as a bonus action. Will your strategy lead to victory?
- Moderations take place roughly weekly. The deadline for posting is six days (144 hours) after the moderation is posted. The word requirement is 200 words per post.
- The top team of each age group is crowned victor and earns eternal glory for their schools. And of course, a magnificent golden Cauldron!
- OOC reward: One dose of a potion depending on your age group for every participant who has posted in every moderation round:1-2nd Year: Fire Breathing Potion3-4th Year: Invisibility Potion5-7th Year: Strengthening Solution

Merlin help me...
Nabi stood beside the skittish girl named Eonaria, a stern expression on her face. She knew her teammates were liabilities, one questioned her capabilities, and the other...well she did not seem to think much. It was no surprise for Nabi when Accalia suddenly began to feel under the weather.
One liability less.
She looked ahead and listened to the professors announce the task's details. The arena had been transformed into a dense forest, This task will be difficult... She looked at her only teammate If only you did not have such a weakness... you will only slow me down.
Their turn came and Nabi walked toward the arena, glancing around calmly before turning to face her teammate.
"Do keep your eyes open and your mind sharp, Miss Kabukimono", nothing of this task is at it seems...
Her gaze flickered over to the bushes; she knew they were being watched. The air was tense as she led the other girl deeper into the forest. She knew she could not leave the young Eonaria to fend for herself while she retrieved the apples, though the idea did cross her mind. That may only be a last resort.
One could only hope Miss Kabukimono did not get in her way before then.
Perhaps the potions should be used after we retrieve the apples it would aid us in a quick exit... She looked at Eonaria and narrowed her eyes, Or I use the potion while she retrieves the apples...I fear she would trip over herself if she attempted to distract them...

XXXEonaria stood next to Nabi, gazing into the dense forest. Was she panicking? Oh yes, certainly. But not to worry, she had since taken in many breaths of oxygen and was now zoning out. It's hard to say if it was an improvement or not, but.... but nothing. Accy's not feeling very good... ack, now I'm stuck with this person I barely know and I'm pretty sure she hates my guts.. though I'm not sure what my guts have to do with anything- I think it's a Muggle saying?
XXXEonaria was snapped out of her thoughts when Nabi reminded her to stay focused. She turned slightly red, nodding quickly. She blinked at the cluster of trees. She couldn't even see the ground covered by the bushes! Merlin forbid I somehow get myself lost... yikes... As they walked, Eonaria glanced nervously at the stoic Slytherin.
XXX"Um, so... I can be very clumsy sometimes. I would probably drop all the apples." She admitted. "But I can run pretty fast... you know, assuming I don't trip... so, er, I could be the distraction? Unless you want to be?" She paused, contemplating how they could use the potions they had brewed. "Since we're not really allowed to harm the Red Caps, would we just use it to scare them off or could we... set the bushes on fire? Is that allowed? I mean, it'd probably endanger the other competitors, but I don't have the best aim. With fire." Eonaria finished.

Wrapped tightly into her cloak to protect herself from the cold weather, Méabh had cheerfully pulled out her wand to point it at her own throat. "Sonorus." She was not part of the judges' panel - as an organiser, she was busy enough, and also likely not quite impartial as she was teaching most of the kids on the pitch right now, but she intended to enjoy herself to the fullest by commentating.Round: 1
"Our next contestants are Nabi Park and Eonaria Kabukimono, from Hogwarts," she announced. "They had a third team mate, who decided to withdraw before the final task, but Nabi and Eonaria are bravely facing this challenge on her own. Will their strategy play out?"
As many other groups, Nabi and Eonaria had chosen to observe first without drawing too much attention to themselves, although they did not appear to put significant effort into sneaking, either.
Leaning forward slightly, Méabh squinted at what was happening between the trees. Was there something happening? "They seem pretty relaxed, don't they? No Red Caps in sight. Yet. At least in my sight. I don't know what they see, I hope they see something."Perception - Spotting Red Caps: WDC 13, Spotting Apples: WDC 18
Nabi perception:
Red Caps 1
Wis: [d20: 1] + 8 = 9
Red Caps 2
Wis: [d20: 18] + 8 = 26
Apples
Wis: [d20: 5] + 8 = 13
Eonaria perception:
Red Caps 1
Wis: [d20: 7] + 8 = 15
Red Caps 2
Wis: [d20: 10] + 8 = 18
Apples
Wis: [d20: 12] + 8 = 20
Nabi notices one group of Red Caps, but can't tell if they have the apples. Emily sees all - including the apples.
Summary:
- Nabi spots a group of redcaps in hiding but cannot tell if they have any apples.
- Eonaria is incredibly perceptive and spots both groups, as well as the apples.

Nabi had been thinking when the young Kabukimono spoke, "Um, so... I can be very clumsy sometimes. I would probably drop all the apples." Marvelous... she is clumsy as well. She hummed in thought, listening to Enonaria continue to speak, Setting the bushes on fire? She bit the inside of her cheek in thought, That could be a good possibility...
Looking beside her toward Eonaria, "We can have that as on option, for now I think we-"
She froze noticing something, Nabi's eyes narrowed as she gestured to her teammate to remain quiet. Are those...red caps? A faint smile appeared on her face as she pointed to the small group she had found and whispered, "Look, a group of Red Caps... quickly, we have to find the apples..."
Nabi walked around searching, but she could not find the apples or any sign of more Red Caps. She wondered if her teammate did "I was not able to find the apples. What about you, Miss Kabukimono?" She turned to look for her teammate before walking toward her quietly, tapping her shoulder and whispering so as to not startle her rather skittish teammate too much.
"Miss Kabukimono?" Nabi followed the girl's gaze.
Perhaps, the young Eonaria was not completely useless after all.

Permission obtained from Nabi Park to godmod the suggestion
XXXEonaria cringed inside as the commentary rang out. Was all of Hogwarts really watching them right now? Yikes...! She scanned her surroundings, vaguely registering Nabi as she said something about the Red Caps. Just as she was about to speak, Eonaria caught a flash of dark red out of the corner of her eye. She focused on the area, locating a group of hook-nosed creatures that were wearing clothes disturbingly similar to scruffy human clothes. She grimaced slightly, noticing the basket of apples in the midst of the group. Well, I'm definitely glad that we don't have to engage with them. Eonaria turned to Nabi.
XXX"They're over there," she whispered. "Since we can't harm them, we should lure them away. Maybe you could throw a rock? I have, like, no arm strength." She flushed slightly but glanced surreptitiously back toward the Red Caps.
XXX"You could use the Dogsbreath Potion now," Nabi suggested seriously.
XXX"Oh. Right." Eonaria withdrew the flask of Dogsbreath Potion, holding it up. "Fire might be more convincing than a sign of movement. We can try both? If some of them head towards the rock and some to the fire, they... wait. Why would they run towards a fire?" Eonaria frowned. "Could we set the area around the apples on fire to get them to stay away after running to the rock?"
XXXThe plan was risky and took many chances, but it was something. Eonaria uncorked the flask, a tingle running through her fingers. For some reason, that always seemed to happen whenever she was holding something that would break if dropped. She took a dose, swallowing it carefully. Breath support from singing had never been so important, and Eonaria was honestly terrified that she would cough out of nerves and burn herself or her teammate.

Nabi followed Eonaria's gaze, Good. You found the other Red Caps and the apples. She hummed softly in response, clearly pleased her teammate was not useless after all. Her gaze returned to her teammate as she began to speak, "Since we can't harm them, we should lure them away. Maybe you could throw a rock? I have, like, no arm strength." Nabi raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl's rather flimsy arms, I am afraid that makes two of us, Miss Kabukimono...
Giving a slight nod she whispered so as not to catch the attention of the Red Caps, "I will throw the rock then..." It was only fair Miss Kabukimono had come up with the idea. It would be good to have a secondary plan in case the rock does not distract them... or if they run up to us instead... She looked at Eonaria and said decidedly before grabbing a nearby rock, "You could use the Dogsbreath Potion now"
If the rock distraction fails; the fire should work.
"Could we set the area around the apples on fire to get them to stay away after running to the rock?" Nabi paused slightly standing up ready to throw the rock in her hand, What? She could not tell if her teammate got the plan confused— or if she understood what the plan even was.
Crouching back down she whispered, "No, listen carefully... I will throw the rock to distract the red caps. You will take the dog's breath potion in case the red caps do not get distracted..." She tilted her head slightly, "Or in case we need it to keep them away as we make our way out." Nabi looked at her sternly, "After I throw the rock we will have to wait only a few seconds before running to the apples. Do you understand?"
She watched Eonaria uncork her potion bottle and take the potion, with a slight nod she threw the rock and whispered, "On the count to three... One...two...three Run!" Nabi did not turn to look to see if her teammate followed her, the plan was a risk and she could only hope her teammate's skittish tendencies did not get in her way.

After a slow start, Eonaria and Nabi proceeded with one of the more confusing strategies Méabh had seen. In full awareness of the position of both the Red Caps and the apples, Nabi decided throwing rocks would provide a decent distraction.Round: 2
Despite her proclamations to the contrary, Nabi was able to muster up enough strength to throw a decently sized rock - causing a decently sized distraction.Nabi yeets a stone.

"Interesting," Méabh mused, watching Nabi sprint for the abandoned basket. "Smart or lucky? I'll let you decided. But what is Ms Kabukimono doing?"Do the Red Caps get distracted? (60%, 9-20)

Méabh frowned. "Wasn't that... a Dogbreath Potion? Are we perhaps trying to make roast apples? Yum."Eonaria drinks the Dogbreath Potion (failed brew).
She feels like her stomach is on fire and takes 100 damage per round.
Summary:
- Nabi yeets a rock and distracts the Red Caps, then goes for the basket.
- Eonaria drinks a failed potion and takes 100 damage per round [HP: 200/300]

It appeared as though the rock did distract the red caps as Nabi made it to the basket of apples before letting a small sigh and looking around for any secondary traps. She had to be cautious, it was a competition, after all. Beginning to collect the apples, she remembered someone.
Her teammate.
Bloody hell, where did she go? She looked around, unable to find the young Kabukimono; she turned to look toward the bush they had previously been hiding— thinking of a plan. Nabi could not do the competition without her, What is she doing?, "Miss Kabukimono...we do not have much time left, do hurry up."
Her voice was in a whisper, careful not to call the attention of the Red Caps but hopefully loud enough for Eonaria to hear. Did she trip?... just what I needed... Nabi was growing impatient as she waited for Eonaria to join her, unaware that the young girl was feeling the effects of a badly brewed potion. "The rock distraction will not keep the red caps much longer, if you fell just walk it off as you make your way here."
Nabi began to collect as many apples as she could, while she waited for Eonaria. There was no plan anymore, and she could not leave the young girl to fend for herself.
This is a mess...
