In 2020, his brother died during an Auror mission. The following year, Noah witnessed his Father die perilously while attempting to bring back Zeke. A fruitless endeavour. The years following his father’s death were marked by grief and adjustment. Regardless of how hard his mother desperately tried to seal the cracks of the family, it was futile. Nevertheless, as the years passed, he eventually grew more out of his shell. He attended a basic magical school, where he formed friendships with other magical children. While he was naturally intelligent and quick to pick up concepts, he preferred solidarity compared to the noise and chaos.
Noah awoke from his nightmarish slumber. After hearing a loud noise, he slowly walked towards the basement door, but not before looking outside at the scary storm brewing outside. He hated storms. He hoped it wouldn’t invade his homely abode. Rain pouring down in relentless sheets, the mud and sludge that it churns up, the vermin and pests that thrive in its damp and dreary crevices. The cacophony of sounds produced by the vast amount of insects and species always sent a chill down his spine. He hoped it was just the nightmare.
His Father was on the final steps, his long adventure was nearing its end. However his guilt caught up to him. He tried to bring back the dead. His dead son. His pride and joy. Until he was snapped back to reality. The spell backfired. Beside him stood his stationary son. His father wondered why Noah was so shocked, until he looked at himself. The mangled remains of his body laid in an unnatural, grotesque, tormented form. His once supple skin had been reduced to a parchment of misery, clinging to the abhorrent spectacle beneath. A contorted amalgamation. His limbs were twisted and broken, bones protruding from flesh, sculpted by a sadistic hand, mocking his futile attempts at salvation. Noah’s youthful heart was racing. He wanted to say something. Anything. But he was too stunned to speak. He just stared at his father's corpse which seemed to move past death. It slowly raised a hand, caressing Noah’s frozen cheek, before collapsing limp to the ground.
He tried to run away, but tripped and stumbled to the ground, tears in his eyes. What happened?! He was still dreaming, right? It was just the nightmare. It was just the nightmare. It was just the nightmare. Unable to contain his emotions, Noah used magic for the first time, creating a cloud of pitch black smoke in which he hid and cried. If he couldn't see it, that meant it didn't happen. It was just the nightmare.Physical Description:ReducioNoah Kang is a slight, wiry boy of eleven years. His posture tends to hunch slightly, as if he’s trying to make himself smaller, though he occasionally straightens when he feels more confident. His hands are slender, with long fingers that suggest a knack for delicate work.
He stands at 137cm (4"6), slightly shorter than others, and is covered in fawn beige skin that almost absorbs luminance. Noah also has jet-black hair fell in tousled waves, a dark crown that seemed to drink in the moon. Beneath dark brows, his eyes shone with the clarity of bronze caught in sunlight, vivid and sharp.
Noah typically dresses neatly, preferring simple, practical clothing. Nevertheless, his clothes always often seem just a little too big, though he doesn't appear to mind. He prefers muted colours such as charcoal greys, navy blues, and forest greens. His school robes, freshly tailored, hang comfortably on his shoulders, and he takes pride in keeping them in good condition.Mental Description:
ReducioBefore his father's death, Noah was a fairly normal child, eager to learn more about the world and curious about everything around him. However, his father’s death, when Noah was only eight, was devastating. Not just because of the loss itself, but because it left Noah grappling with a haunting question: Why?
Why did his father pursue magic so fervently? Why did he take such risks, even knowing he had a family depending on him? Was it ambition? A sense of duty? Or something more elusive and personal? Was his brother really worth so much more than him? The questions barraged at his mind daily, planting a seed of despair deep within his heart.
Noah has a curious mind that thrives on puzzles, problems, and anything that allows him to connect pieces of information into a coherent whole. Whether it’s the hidden layers of a story or deeper meanings in a song, Noah enjoys finding the deeper meanings or unexpected solutions. This mental sharpness makes him an excellent problem-solver, though he can sometimes overthink situations, getting caught up in “what ifs".
Usually, Noah prefers meaningful one-on-one conversations compared to large, noisy groups, and he gravitates toward people who share his interests. He’s an excellent listener, despite being lacking in the inverse skill. Although, when being admitted to Hogwarts, Noah told himself that he'd try his hardest to change that. Whether or not he follows through, time will tell.
Regardless of all that, perhaps Noah's greatest strength is his resilience. While he may not rush headlong into challenges, he has a steady determination that allows him to persist when others might give up. Failure doesn’t deter him, rather, it sparks his interest. This obsession led to his tragic death in 2021 when he was 41 years old where he, blinded by love, attempted an ambitious and dangerous experiment to bring back his deceased son, Ezekiel. Bavarius had sharp features, dark eyes, and dishevelled black hair.

ReducioEzekiel "Zeke" Xerxes Kang was a prodigy. He waws intelligent, charismatic, and fiercely dedicated to his work as an Auror. He had a striking appearance with a lean, athletic build, dark brown eyes, and short black hair, often impeccably groomed. He was almost a mentor to Noah; they had a very close bond. However, Zeke’s perfectionism and the immense pressure he placed on himself ultimately led to his demise in 2020 when he was 19 during an Auror mission.
Azaelea Nagafin Kang ("Azzy")
ReducioAzaelea "Azzy" Nagafin Kang, Noah’s 7-year-old sister, is the youngest member of the family. Azzy is an imaginative, energetic child who embodies the curiosity and joy that Noah sometimes struggles to hold on to. Azzy has a cherubic face framed by wavy black hair as well as wide, emerald, sparkling eyes full of wonder. She loves wearing colourful robes and small charms that Noah makes for her, and her innocent laughter often echoes throughout the house. Azzy is not burdened by the weight of loss in the same way as Noah yet still, she feels their absence and constantly asks Noah about them. She looks up to Noah, idolising him in her own way, and she is often found tagging along after him, asking endless questions about magic and the wizarding world.
