To put it simply, Daniel was a jock. Both in the past and present tense. Before Castelobruxo, there was a possibility for him to go pro as a basketball player if being a wizard hadn't thrown a wrench in his plans. Not to worry, though, because he had quickly found the magical equivalent of basketball in the form of a brutal game of Quidditch. It was good, all things considered, and he thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Quidditch practice was tough, considering the loss they'd faced in the summer season. With the new faces, team shuffles, and all that, Daniel did briefly consider moving to Broom Racing to be with his best mate.

Javier was the oldest on the team and was practically captain-adjacent. So, that all said, Daniel agreed to come down to the field and try his hand at Racing. He sauntered down, broom in hand as he trailed closely beside Javier and listened to the different tricks racers were allowed to. The boy only spoke Portuguese, which half-sucked for Daniel—though the last two years being his friend had improved his Portuguese proficiency immensely. There would still be times when Daniel would have to ask for a translation, but their communication was pretty sound from deeper friendship connections. Daniel could only wonder what kind of track Javier prepared for them today, though.

Isadora was slightly confused on why she agreed to be on the broom racing team maybe it was because the young girl felt a sense of connection when flying not like she really flew much anyways. Isadora was more of a homebody staying inside avoiding many people besides her family; she really was a bit cautious when it came to certain things.

Attending Castelobruxo was a bit different from being homeschooled by her Maman she was actually surrounded by other kids her age and older and younger, while Isadora’s social skills were still a tad off the girl always tried her best to communicate or talk when spoken to, but overall she stayed to herself besides occasionally socializing with her cousins.

Isadora enjoyed her solitude even though it seemed lonely at times, but she did not mind too much. It was just not in the cards yet to make friends or allies she supposed. Maybe this was one reason the young girl enjoyed going to broom racing practice she would be around others and it always seemed fun plus she had to practice more to be able to be useful to the team after all if she was not she would slow the team down and that was the last thing the young girl wanted to do.

The young girl walked quickly, broom in hand towards the meeting point. Her auburn hair pulled up in a high ponytail while she wore a top knot bandana with blue and white coloration and little seashell design embroidered onto the bandana while the young girl had a few seashell’s hanging from her hair with a few flowers as well. The young girl’s signature look that always seemed to keep her calm and collected.

Isadora felt nervous with the broom in hand. What if the young girl made a fool of herself? She was nervous and had no idea what she could do that would be useful. But all Isadora wanted was to be useful and needed, so hopefully being a part of a team would feed that part of her.

The young girl gripped her broom handle tightly trying to ease her nerves slightly; she knew Castelobruxo was much safer than Hogwarts after all how could Isadora forget her first time going to that dreadful school. She just shivered at the thought of the school. Hoping the next time the young girl attended an event hosted by Hogwarts it would be a bit more peaceful.

As Isadora approached the meeting point the broom racers were gathering at Isadora hung near the back watching everyone slowly approach as the young girl continued to try and calm her nerves. Was she really this nervous to be around others? A bit disgraceful a sigh escaped her lips as she glanced around carefully curious on how this would go.

Considering this wasn't his sport. Daniel stuck to the back. As much as he'd love to try win a race, 1) he didn't really want to embarrass himself with whatever was on the track, and 2) this training session wasn't for him. In theory, this shouldn't be too hard; all broom racers really did from Daniel's memory was fly straight, fly fast, and avoid any and all obstacles. Quidditch was already infinitely worse, with all the players being cheaters with their blatches and the big metal balls hurtling towards them, but the terrain was different, that much Daniel could see.

A heavy sigh caught Daniel's attention. He turned to see a girl with dark skin and matching dark curly hair. Well, she was a new face. Daniel hadn't seen her at summer camp and Javier hadn't told him what the team changes were like recently. She did look cute, though.

Daniel ambled over to her and cleared his throat. He opened his mouth to start, freezing as he considered the language he would speak in before settling on "Hola, tudo bem? hello, everything alright?" He asked in a mix of both Spanish and Portuguese. It was one of the phrases Javier first taught him and one they constantly asked one another.
