Eonaria was getting supplies at Diagon Alley, and had long since ditched her parents. Of course, she loved them, but suddenly being surrounded with new types of magic definitely lowered her patience for meandering around making random comments. And they were taking too long, so she just decided to explore. Eonaria would normally never go off by herself, but hey, it's Diagon Alley! With other Hogwarts students around! She would be fine.

Eonaria checked her to-buy list, noting the long list of books. Might as well start there, as she also wanted to look at some miscellaneous books to read in her free time. She wandered around until she finally spotted a shop with books in the display. A sign labeled it as "Flourish & Blotts," and she absentmindedly noticed the name's pun(intentional pun?) as Eonaria pushed open the door. It honestly sounded more like a store for quills and ink rather than books...

Once she was inside, Eonaria began to search for the first item on her list, Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger. What a strange name... But when she finally spotted the title along the spines of a collection of identical books, she reached for a copy and bumped directly in another student in Hogwarts robes, a Slytherin with blond hair. Eonaria stumbled back slightly. "Oh, sorry...!" She straightened back up, hoping to duck past him and pretend like nothing happened. Eonaria managed to snatch a copy of the textbook off of the shelf, tucking it into her bag before looking back at the boy.

Klynn had recently arrived in Diagon Alley to get supplies for his second year at Hogwarts. He decided his first stop would be Flourish and Blotts, so he could get all the books he'd be needing for second year.

When he arrived, he began to scour the shop to find one specific book first, The Standard Book of Spells, (Grade 2) by Miranda Goshawk. As he was searching, he suddenly bumped into a girl with black hair and muddy grey/green eyes.

He looked slightly up at her, their height being only two inches different (though to his annoyance, not in his favour). He looked at her with a blank expression, his face being easily confused with boredom, annoyance, or both.

When he heard her apology, he slightly tilted his head to the right, turning round to follow her as she ducked past him to grab a book. His face never changed.

"First year of Hogwarts, I'd guess? Try to look where you're going, you never know who or what you may run into if you aren't careful."

His words were blunt and dry, one could easily believe it was a threatening tone. In truth, he was hinting at the moving stairs in the castle of Hogwarts, but he never bothered to clarify, she'd find out what he meant sooner or later.

He turned back to the bookshelf and kept looking for his book, seemingly uncaring that the girl was still next to him, possibly believing him to have been rude to her.

Just as Eonaria was about to leave, the boy turned to face her. Eonaria noted that he was slightly shorter than her. "First year of Hogwarts, I'd guess? Try to look where you're going, you never know who or what you may run into if you aren't careful." He spoke with a rather dry tone, surprising her slightly.

"Oh- um, yes. I'm a first year. I'll keep that in mind, but, uh, what are you referring to, specifically...?" Eonaria wondered if his statement was just in general, or if he was speaking of a certain incident that she would encounter. Perhaps at Hogwarts? She could probably ask her parents about that.

When the boy simply turned away and continued in his searching, she was a bit puzzled by this encounter. He seemed a bit rude, and Eonaria wasn't sure if she should just shrug it off or continue the conversation. "Um, what are you looking for? Would you like help?" The moment the words came out of her mouth, she cursed internally. Why would he need her help? She was a first year, for Merlin's sake, she wouldn't know where anything was better than him, a second year. Eonaria contemplated muttering out a quick 'never mind' before speeding away and hiding behind the other bookshelves, but that'd be just a tad too awkward and require way too much courage to just up and leave in the middle of the conversation...
