Laurie walked up to the entrance of the ice cream parlour and took a deep breath. This was it. She was going to host a party, and not just a normal one. A magnificent and magical one. She had heard about Florean Fortescue’s Ice cream parlour a lot of times, but this was the first time she had actually seen it, and she approved of the party venue she had decided at once. You see, the reason to celebrate was not that grand. In the Leaky Cauldron’s Game room, the girls had won the girls versus boys game after their last defeat. This, and we girls just wanted to hang out. Laurie had the idea of the ice cream shop, and it was only right for her to host it. So here she was, standing in Diagon Alley in broad daylight. Laurie took out the list on which she had written the names of the girls who were coming. Hailey, Ash, Tara, Lynn and Eugenia. Louisa might join as well. That would make it seven people, including Laurie. She reserved a table for seven, and had a talk to Florean himself about the order of ice creams , and the amount of gallons that needed to be paid. This was the first time Laurie had done anything like this, and was looking forward to it. She sat down at the designated table, and while she waited, she ordered a berry delight, to begin that sweet and cold hour. When it came to her, it left no traces of sourness in her mouth, making her even more restless and excited for the party to begin. Now, the preparations being done, all she had to do was wait for her friends to arrive, one by one.

The Magnificent Hang-out
Louisa stared at the door to Florean Fortescue’s Ice Crean Parlour rather nervously. She had, of course, met the other attendees before but she was quite sure they knew each other far better then any of them. She rather disliked having to be with people she didn’t know very well, the awkward chatter was to hard. Louisa knew that she had to start somewhere though, and the others seemed perfectly lovely.
She put her hand on the handle ready to enter, but dropped it quickly.
Why am I so nervous? Your being ridiculous Louisa! You will have a wonderful time. Louisa told herself firmly, and nervously pushed open the door’s handle.
Inside, it took Louisa a moment before she actually managed to see Laurie. But once Louisa spotted her she walked over briskly and taking a rather sharp break, spoke softly to Laurie, “Thanks for inviting me, Laurie, it was really nice of you. Oh, and I’m sorry I didn’t write back to your invitation. I wasn’t sure I could come. I really am sorry! Dear me, am I too early?”
She smiled, her hands fighting nervously. She was desperately hoping Laurie was actually happy she was here, not just inviting her to be polite. Well, she had to make friends eventually and even if Laurie was being polite, it didn’t mean they couldn’t ever be friends.

Diagon Alley was one of the places Eugenia often visited. She used to visit a lot when she was younger so that her mother could buy potion ingredients. The Greek girl had visited it just a year ago to buy the first set of her Hogwarts Books and planned to go later in the day to purchase her school supplies for her second year at Hogwarts. It was all a crazy haze of memories. The same places, seen through the almost same eyes every time. Just at different time frames. But before the shopping haul ever began, her parents dropped Eugenia and her sister off at Florean Fortescue’s.
Just a few days earlier, she had greeted one of her aunts there as she came for business at London, then going to the Leaky Cauldron. At the Games Room, she and a few other girls, Laurie, Hailey, Ash, Tara, Lynn and Louisa, won a game against some boys. A day later, Laurie’s invitation to this girl’s hangout arrived at her window. How could Eugenia not accept?
So, Eugenia’s parents left the two girls to have fun at this hangout. Άκου αδερφούλα μου. Θα είσαι ευγενική και φρόνιμη. Είμαι υπεύθυνη για εσένα και δε θέλω να πάθεις τίποτα. Εντάξει; Listen sis. You will be polite and you will behave. I’m responsible for you and I do NOT want to see you hurt or harmed in any way. Okay? Little Ifigenia, who was at the great age of 8, nodded and hugged her sister. Holding hands, the two sisters entered the parlour.
Quite soon, Eugenia saw a table in the distance where two girls stood. One of them she recognised as Laurie, the other as Louisa. She walked over quietly and cautiously. She was in no mood to hit strangers or have a mishap. Ifigenia quietly followed, smiling softly. The two girls stopped in front of the table. Eugenia spoke first. Hi there girls. I hope you remember me. I’m Eugenia. This is my little sister, Ifigenia. I promise she will be a good girl. Right Ifi? She looked at her sister with an intense expression. She winked in turn. I’m so glad you’re hosting this Laurie. She pointed slightly at the two girls. Ifigenia, this is Laurie, the black haired one. And this is Louisa. Don’t forget their names please.
She smiled at the others. Now they probably had to wait for the rest of the gals to arrive. It was going to be a great day. She smiled to her friends (?). It was surely going to be a great day.xxx

“Louisa! Thanks for coming. It’s okay, you’re not too early, just at the perfect time! And I understand, it’s just good that you are here. I was worried none of you were going to come! Sit, and order any ice cream of your choice while we wait for the others to come along.”
Laurie crossed her fingers behind her back, praying that the others would come. This was the one chance to meet the people who might become her friends for the rest of the seven years at Hogwarts. She laced her fingers again and again, often looking down at her summer flowery dress. Louisa looked pretty, Laurie really liked and admired her, but they had not really interacted with each other alone. She nervously tried to engage in conversation with Louisa.
“So… how’s life? How are you?”
Louisa was just about to answer when Laurie again heard the sound of footsteps coming down the path of Diagon Alley.
“Eugenia!” Laurie practically shouted. “Thanks for coming. I was starting to get worried! Hi Ifi,” Laurie said stooping down, “ Nice to meet you! Aren’t you adorable?” Laurie turned to Eugenia and said, “ Order an ice cream of your choice, and let Ifi have one if she wants. There is our seat.”
Laurie could not avoid the smile that spread on here face when she saw Eugenia and Ifigenia skipping, holding hands. She sadly remembered her parents and shakily sat down.

The Magnificent Hang-out
Awesome banner by Laurie Holmes~Finally done shopping for her second year at Hogwarts, Ash was now taking nervous steps towards the spot where one of her friends had invited her and a few others for a hang-out. No, even though she had somewhat, SOMEWHAT overcame the fear of meeting people, gatherings were still a challenge for her. Meeting people still made her mind sort of blank.

But let's get to the brighter point— She. Was. Excited.
Ash had a hard time convincing her father to let her meet her friends at Florean Fortescue's. At first, his answer to her request was a mere "no". She had to exaggerate the fact that friends invited her— she had friends to impress and convince her father (since she never had a friend outside Hogwarts). Credits to her brother who taught her such a useful thing...
The time passed rather quickly— Ash was standing in front of the enchanting ice cream parlour. Keeping a straight face, she pushed open the door and entered. She ran her eyes to spot at least one of her friends, and she did!
Ash could see three— no— four girls conversing with each other. A slight smile appeared on her face as she took steps towards them. She had decided to jumpscare them... but dropped it as quickly as the idea came, afraid she might ruin things.
She quickly identified one of them— Eugenia: a badger just like her. They became great friends after their first convo in the Charms class last year. She was holding a girl's hand who looked somewhat like her. Ash didn't know her but she had a feeling the little girl might be her sister.
The other two girls were firsties and though they hadn't had a lot of talk before, Ash was making sure she could become great friends with them as well!
Not thinking much, she approached the girls.
"Hey there guys!" Ash tried to lower her abnormally high tone which startled her. Shaking it off, she winked at Eugenia. "How are y'all? I hope I'm not late."
She looked down at the girl she assumed was Eugenia's sister and grinned.
"Hello!!"

If you ever ask Eugenia, you will realise how much of an introvert she was. She never really went to social gatherings, let alone girl hangouts. This time, she was really nervous, especially with having to protect her sister. But the Greek girl rarely ever showed her feelings when she is supposed to have fun. This time was no exception. She put on a polite expression, trying not to bother with her antics. This couldn’t go bad!
After muttering a certain one of her thoughts in Greek, she turned to Laurie. She was talking, addressing her sister. Eugenia smiled as Ifigenia muttered her thanks. The eight-year-old blushed and Eugenia couldn’t help but let out a little chuckle. She watched as Laurie smiled. Maybe things weren’t so bad. Eugenia looked around. Both girls looked nervous. They all had a valid reason to be. Oh yes. I think we will order later. I brought my own money, just in case. Thanks for the invite nevertheless! I’m pretty sure we’ll have a good time.
Eugenia was a perceptive child. She didn’t talk that much. More observation, less talking. That was her “perfect balance”. At once, she noticed how Laurie shakily sat back down on her seat. Concerned, she first asked Ifigenia to sit down in the chair next to her. Then she turned to Laurie again. Hey, Laurie, are you alright? You don’t seem to be. Did we do something wrong? Quickly, she flashed a polite smile towards Louisa.
Her thoughts were interrupted soon enough. The door of the Parlour swinged open and a girl she recognised as Ash Brown entered. Ash was one of Eugenia’s housemates and a great friend. They met in a Charms Lesson last year and since then, their friendship has only grown. Ash soon walked over. Eugenia turned around, not at all startled. She knew her friend, after all. Catching Ash’s wink, she returned it. Hash! Hi there! I’m great, I believe. She wasn’t exactly perfect, but it wasn’t a lie, after all. You? And I don’t think you’re late, only half of us are here.
Things moved fast. Her attention then turned to the grin Ash gave to her sister. Hello! Ifigenia spoke before her sister could respond. Hi! I’m Ifigenia! Eugenia chuckled again after hearing her sister. I see you met Ifi. She’s my sister. Ifigenia is 4 years younger than us two, she’ll come to Hogwarts when we are in our Fifth year. Don’t worry, she won’t spoil the fun. She’s a good little girl! The sisters looked at each other, their eyes did the talking.
It seemed to be going great for the both of them. Μπράβο! Τα πας πολύ καλά! Και μη νομίζεις, και εσύ θα πάρεις παγωτό. Δε σε ξέχασα! Good job! You’re doing awesome! And don’t you fret, you’re going to get an ice ceram too. I didn’t forget you! Little Ifigenia gave her an affectionate squeeze of the hand. Σ’ Αγαπώ! I love you! Eugenia sat back down, offering Ash the seat next to her. Her sister had now become a little spectacle, something funny for Eugenia. So far so good. 3 more girls left to come.xxx
