The sun started to set as Hogwarts students rushed towards the Great Hall, delicious smells of roasted chicken and mashed potatoes filling the air. Gryffindors, Slytherins, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws were heard chatting and laughing throughout the corridors, relieved that classes were over. However, one particular Ravenclaw did not seem as pleased as the rest of her classmates. In fact, the small blonde was in a foul mood. Her stormy blue eyes darted daggers at whoever was in her way, and her pace was fast and angry.
It wasn't what Elena would call a great day. This day was everything but great. I'm going to hex something. Or someone, if they keep getting in the way. She grumbled as she avoided another laughing student. Worst day of my life. This dramatic witch had indeed gotten up on the wrong side of the bed after a long, sleepless night, then proceeded to make everything worse. She arrived late to class, lost house points because of that, got scolded by a teacher—which would never happen, ever, under normal circumstances—in front of her classmates, gave the wrong answer twice, missed lunch because she needed to catch up on her homework, managed to arrive in a completely different class—she prayed the fifth years she spooked by bursting into the classroom had forgotten about her—than the one she was supposed to be in, and broke her favorite bracelet. End me, please.
And now, people were getting in the way between her and her beloved dinner? Not happening. Her stomach was growling like a dragon, matching her mood. Food was sacred to her, even more so when she hadn't eaten anything all day. Her usually kind and gentle behavior was gone, replaced by an angry and on-edge demeanor. She rushed towards the Great Hall, the smell of the mouth-watering food lingering in the air.
Turning left in the corridor, she unfortunately saw too late the girl who was walking towards her. The two students collided, and Elena stumbled for a couple of seconds before falling to the ground. She caught herself on her elbow, a sharp pain making her wince. She glared daggers at the girl, her foul mood not helping the situation. Under normal circumstances, she would have immediately apologized, but she had had enough. "Couldn't you watch where you're going?" she snapped aggressively, getting up. "You have eyes, right?"

As the words left her mouth, Elena immediatly regretted lashing out on that poor girl. Her incredibly annoying day wasn't her fault, and Elena wasn't someone that took her anger out on others. She saw the confusion turn into anger in the girl's eyes. Getting up, she opened her mouth to appologise. "I'm so sorr-" she started, getting interrupted by the brown haired girl. At first Elena nodded, still trying to appologise. She was right, she should have looked where she was going.
But the girl ended her speech saying she was glad Elena fell, and that she deserved it. Anger took over the blond haired girl again, and she crossed her arms. "If you could let me talk, you could have maybe realised I was trying to appologise." Her voice was cold, all the contained frustration of the day bubbling under the surface. "I agree that I shouldn't have snapped like that, but we both should have looked where we were going."
Trying so hard to stay civilised and mature, Elena's breath was heavy. Her stomach was growling, her elbow hurting, and - damn it, today was not the day. She tried to ignore the slight feeling of guilt clutching at her stomach, whispering this was her fault. Maybe she had started the situation, but the other girl clearly didn't have to react like that, especially after Elena appologised.
Her normal empathy and fear of conflicts was gone, as he glared at the girl's blue eyes with frustration. She seemed confident, almost arrogant, and clearly spoke her mind under any circusmtances, without caring about other's feelings. Everything the Ravenclaw disliked. Shaking her head, Elena huffed, and leaned to pick up her stuff. Without looking back, she walked away. Let's hope I never see that one again.
