Summer was coming to a close for the start of a new school year was waning around the corner. Life seemed normal, all was well or well as it could. Aleksandra had endured the chaos of summer camp which the young girl had to admit could have been worse than it actually was. The girl still seemed closed off but the idea of losing her touch and being vulnerable still seemed to infuriate the young girl. To make matters worse a few of her favorite outfits seemed to have shrunk or the young girl had grown. In reality Aleksandra only grew two inches which is two inches taller than she was back in first year! Her platinum blonde hair was slightly longer cascading down her shoulder in little ripples of waves. Her gray eyes seemed dull and full of daze and no emotions as the young girl liked it. Keeping others questioning how she truly feels.

Aleksandra had gone to Diagon Alley with her Aunt Victoria to gather some school materials along with visiting Madam Malkins to get a few new outfits and school robes. The young girl's aunt had given her a handful of currency to help her buy the necessities. Shrugging her shoulders the young girl had made her way to Madam Malkins to do a little bit of shopping.

As the young platinum blonde haired girl entered the shop the array of fabrics and accessories assorted around the clothing shop. Aleksandra browsed the shop and the young girl knew she had an objective to get some new school robes and other things. Instead the young girl made a beeline to a few assorted outfits, dresses and other items that she had forgotten her main objective of getting fitted for some new robes. Instead the young girl examined a few dresses that seemed to be hanging. Being lost in her own world Aleksandra gathered a few outfits and a few dress robes. Along with a rather cute royal green dress the young girl seemed to like.

Gathering an armful of clothing the young girl seemed to wander to the front of the store to check out and pay for her items. As Aleksandra placed everything down to buy, the young girl started dazing off into space again. She honestly had no idea why she gathered a bunch of items not like she would use a lot of these outfits, but they were on sale and she also rather much liked the way they looked so did not care much.

While zoned out Aleksandra handed what currency she had to pay for her items. She seemed rather lost in thought when she heard the sales witch explain the girl was short some galleons the young girl blinked before glancing back towards the older woman. Scrunching up her eyebrows Aleksandra scowled. The young girl swore she did the math correctly and handed the right amount of currency. What was this old witch talking about being short?

Aleksandra sighed slightly annoyed, her gray eyes narrowed towards the older woman. The young girl seemed slightly confused. Was she actually short? Did she miscalculate the math in her mind? It was highly possible but why would she ever admit such a flaw. Aleksandra rubbed her temple between her forefinger and thumb grumbling under her breath. Seriously, how could the young girl even miscalculate this math. There had to be a mistake, maybe the math was wrong, maybe the older witch could not do math that seemed plausible to the twelve year old. Sighing once again in frustration the young girl continued to stare narrowed gray eyes at the older witch.

“There seems to be a mistake I gave you the proper change recount it or something.”

Aleksandra spoke clearly, her airy Scottish accent seemed stern but soft as a feather as the young girl continued to stare a stern gaze similar to a storm brewing over the horizon. After all Aleksandra was very certain her math was not wrong and she handed the right amount not only that it was all she had on her person so the young girl was ready to go down with a fight. But at the same time the young girl did question her actions: was this worth it for unnecessary items? The answer most definitely was that the girl needed to look her best for her second year. She may be a NPC but she wanted to at least leave an impression on people. During Summer camp Aleksandra realized one thing no matter how much she wants to be hidden she is doomed to a life of socialization may as well have pretty outfits that fit her dark lonely atmosphere right?

Money had been tight these past few months. What little she had earned throughout her time at hogwarts was now being spent wisely. She had never been much of a cheapskate, or a tight-arse when it came to money but rather sensible in how she spent it— ignoring the part where she often splashed an unnecessarily large amount on clothes. Her father, however, was a tight-arse, and gave her knuts— sickles at a push, and that was on those rare occasions he was feeling generous.

It never stopped her visiting a variety of clothing shops, like today. Today she revisited Madam Malkin, a shop she often came to alone during her time at hogwarts. She adored viewing all the new pieces and playing around with different materials.

Her fingers brushed lightly over the selection that hung on hangers, and at times pulling at a few to get a better look. She had always been a sucker for wearing black, no matter the occasion, no matter the season. Black. Always black.

Pulling out a leather jacket much similar to the one she was already wearing, minus being shorter in length, Falentra’s ears perked up. Her eyes soon followed over her shoulder and to the direction of a young Scottish girl who was seemingly standing her ground about something relating to money. She couldn’t quite hear, but she took note of the pile of money on the counter.

For the time being, Falentra returned her gaze to the piece in her hand, admiring with a faint smile. Her ears at the same time were now listening intently on the discussing that was slowly starting to heat from the change in tone.

The shop keeper seemed adamant, and was being quite stern with the girl. With a kid. Falentra was never one for being polite herself, but she didn’t like what she was hearing and if it meant her being able to be a bit of a arse with someone, that was just a bonus. For a moment, her eyes closed and a small huff would leave her lips before she tossed the hanger back onto the rail and turned on her heels into the direction of the young girl.

“Oi.” She interrupted, or more specifically, the shop owner. It only took Falentra a few strides with her long legs to arrive beside the student. Her eyes focused on the pile of money before they lowered to the girl.

She was… small. Or maybe it was Falentra that was just overly tall for a girl. The chunky boots didn’t help neither.

The silence would brew for a few seconds longer before Falentra’s sucked the air through her teeth and tutted. Her eyes that naturally bored into whoever looked now had a glimpse of darkness and anger. They were peering right into the shop keepers.
“Right. Not only are you bullying a student here who, from what I’ve seen over my visits here, is a student who’s offered you more money that most can afford, but you are also ruining my time.” The shop owners mouth opened as if to respond but Falentra raised a boney finger and placed it in from of their mouth. “I’m not finished.”

She inhaled sharped then let out a long sigh. “I’m just.. I’m really upset and offended by how you’ve treated this.. poor.. poor girl.” Falentra shook her head. Of course, this was all an act, but you had to play the part to get what you want, right? “I’m just going to have to tell my father to get in touch with a close friend- who bare in mind is a well known publisher for the daily prophet.” Another lie. But who were they to know. “I can just see it now. Madam Malkin in bold writing. Bullies children.” She paused and raised one hand out in the air, waving it slightly whilst the other rested on the young girls shoulder. “Madman Misrable Malkin—”

Another pause followed, long enough to let it sink in. “—I mean. Unless you let the girl off a few galleons? We can let this slide.”

Aleksandra narrowed her eyes towards the employee either they were daft or thought the young girl was an idiot. It was highly possible Aleksandra may have misread something, but the young girl refused to back down. No she would rather be shot with multiple spells than admit any faults.

Gray stone cold eyes narrowed like sharp sterling steel dagger blades aimed directly at the worker both child and adult seemed to refuse to stand down. Both seemed as if they would end in a stale match of stern expressions and dagger like glares.

All seemed to be silent as the air seemed to fill slightly thick from the tension. Aleksandra was debating on what to say, before the girl could open her mouth to protest a sharp voice seemed to break through the air like a knife slicing cleaning through its target.

Turning around slightly Aleksandra noticed an older girl stride over quickly, the older girl looked rather tall compared to Aleksandra though the girl herself knew she was short for a second year after all many of her colleagues were tall compared to her. The older girl’s appearance seemed to intrigue Aleksandra though the girl herself enjoyed wearing dark colors especially a nice obsidian black turtleneck or shirt was always a favorite of hers she had to admit the older girl seemed to radiate in her outfit giving the young girl the impression not to mess with this one.

Standing still Aleksandra stood quietly now with the newcomer standing close beside her. Aleksandra turned her attention from the random stranger as the silence lingered only for a second longer, before the older girl spoke up. With each word escaping the older girl's lips seemed to be accurate at least to Aleksandra the young girl stood quiet crossing her arms against her chest. The older girl was not wrong, the employee was definitely being unfair, maybe they just had something against small students or just her in general.

Noticing the employee was about to say something, the older girl held up a boney finger as she continued to speak about the situation at hand. As the older girl continued she let out a long sigh as she spoke once again mentioning how Aleksandra was poorly mistreated. Aleksandra thought quickly before uncrossing her arms holding her hands together gathering a teary look to her gray silver like eyes as if trying to pull off a puppy look or even just an innocent expression after all the girl was wrongly justice.

To Aleksandra’s not utmost surprise the older girl continued to speak more, bringing her father into this. The young girl seemed to feel at awe with the older girl. She was bold to say the least and knew how to manipulate the situation to their advantage. Aleksandra had much to learn and maybe this girl could help her. After all, Aleksandra needed to be a bit more intimidating and in control of her life.

Listening intently and watching the shop employee's expression Aleksandra had a feeling that the girls had won this little thing for sure. But the older girl was not quite finished talking as a bony hand was placed over the young girl's shoulder. As the last of the words left the older girl’s voice lingering in the air. Aleksandra could tell how the employee seemed to be a bit flustered and caved in allowing Aleksandra to buy her items along with taking a few extra galleons.

“Thank you for your cooperation”

Aleksandra spoke in a light tone, her scottish accent light and feathery.

Aleksandra turned towards the older girl bowing her head slightly down while holding her new purchases. Before looking back up at the older girl rather curiously this stranger came out of nowhere and helped the young girl though she did not seem to mind she helped greatly, but now Aleksandra was rather curious she was a lot older but not too older.

Aleksandra thought quietly for a second. Before giving her full attention to the taller girl.

“Thank you for your assistance. My apologies if I ended up disturbing your shopping.”

Aleksandra spoke softly; her tone was light and feathery while her Scottish accent was light to the touch.

Aleksandra felt slightly bad which was a rare feature for the girl. She did sort of ruin the older girl's time shopping. After all, shopping was the most important time for a young woman. After all it was like a free escape from reality Aleksandra supposed she never really knew, besides the fact that she enjoyed being alone and browsing at her own expense and speed.

Waiting for the older girl to respond back Aleksandra examined the older girls appearance her outfit was fairly nice, Aleksandra seemed to like the way it looked and th chunky boots seemed to be a nice touch this older girl definitely knew good fashion sense at least that was what Aleksandra thought.
