Nate was sitting alone, reading his book. He had only just arrived, and really wasn't looking forward to sharing a tent with a bunch of strangers. In fact, he was avoiding going to find his tent for that exact reason, hence the procrastination via reading.
He was pretty sure Elias was coming, although he hadn't seen him yet. Nate hoped he'd get to see him at Camp - it would be nice to see a familiar face. There were so many people here.
He'd brought his headphones, hoping that they would work, seeing as this wasn't a magical school, but he had little faith that they would. The amount of spells on the stadium probably prevented it. Still, his headphones were noise-cancelling. He'd get them out right now if it didn't mean digging through all his tightly-packed clothes. He was very proud of the sheer volume of items he'd managed to fit in his suitcase and really didn't want to mess that up before he'd found his tent.
So he had a dilemma. He could either go find his tent and get out his headphones, but have to socialize or he could sit here, but be distracted by the noise of the people around him. The first option was probably the smartest, but he was quite comfortable here, sitting on his suitcase and reading, even if it was quite loud. At least nobody was talking to him here.
