Searing rays of sunlight filter through the parting clouds, cascading over the grass-covered ground in sparkling rays. The warmth of the rays radiates off the grass and reflects off the surface of the walls of the castle this afternoon.Link to Quidditch System: viewtopic.php?t=7504
The speaker holds the microphone with his warm hand, a smile plastered on his face as that same sunlight is reflected onto it. His eyes scan around the stands , the two houses proudly waving their flags. “Attention students of Hogwarts!” the crowd cheered as the speaker's words echoed across the pitch, “Both teams have performed admirably during winter and fall games! and now, it's finally here—the moment you've all been waiting for!”
As the excitement mounted, he paused dramatically, taking in the voices of the crowd. “May I present to you...”
“HUFFLEPUFF!” the players emerged, the audience cheered even louder. Their yellow-colored clothes are striking in the spring sunlight.
“And...” he paused again, gently lifting a finger as the audience erupted in cheers. “SLYTHERIN!” his voice rises over the cacophony of the crown. The players then appeared, wearing the green and silver slytherin clothes.
Their cheers drown out any and all other words the speaker might say , “And now, ladies and gents, without further ado, let the game... BEGIIIIIIIN!!!!!!!!”
A note to all players: The word count minimum is 50 words. The next deadline to post and submit strategy is 120 hours from the time this is posted. You must include in your first post (and preferably all posts) any active abilities, your character's stats (without broom, you can also include the stats with broom but they must be clearly separated), and your character's chosen broom and its effects.

When Alyssea signed up to Quidditch, she expected being benched as a second-string Chaser. She expected her first game of Quidditch to be a (somewhat) quiet one chatting with her friends on the benches. She expected to have a moment to watch before she would go out and break a bone or three.
What Alyssea did not expect was becoming a first-string player overnight. Suddenly, she was expected to fly right from the get-go and, if she fell, that was a loss they'd just have to take.
Coming into the stadium, Alyssea had no more expectations. They never came true, anyway.action: whatever the team wants!

Hufflepuff vs Slytherin - Spring 2024
Tension sure was in the air. Slytherin, a difficult competitor as always was their rival today. Currently placed first having won both their other matches, it was Hufflepuff’s turn to knock them down a peg. Would they come out on top or fall short was the unanswered question that lingered in the air.
Annie threw on her robes and clutched her trusty Silver Arrow, slamming her locker shut. Her spirits were high as was the sun in the sky. Squinting as she stepped foot on the field, anxiety and excitement mingled together in the air from her teammates around her. Before splitting ways between the first strings to the pitch and the second strings to the bench she’s yell out into the air to Alyssea who had been promoted.
”Hey Aly, I’ve Ssea-n what you can do, give them some hell little badger!” A bad pun, but none the less support for her teammate. A wicked grin spread across her lips as she swung her bat over her shoulder, puffing out her chest and flexing her free arm. She’d turn right back around on pursuit to sit on the bench. Where she’d likely stay. The snakes were probably scared of her. Having equal knowledge of three of the four quidditch positions and a hell of a lot of experience in accuracy, endurance, and strength among other things, she was a force to be reckoned with. Not that she wanted Tesla or Avery to go down, but she wasn’t scared to step foot on the field if need be. Hell, bring it on.
She’d bring her hands to her mouth to chant:
“They’re sneaky and they’re slimy,
They’re positively grimey,
And not to mention whiny,
The Slytherin Quidditch Team!”

Hufflepuff vs Slytherin - Spring 2024
Mentioning •Rays of Sunshine tickled Beatrice’s sun kissed skin as she took her place on the bench. The usually hidden freckles on her nose and cheeks had been becoming more prominent the better the weather had gotten. Her spirits were bright, her confidence perhaps a bit too high from the team’s last win and performance. She watched Yellow and Green taking their positions in the sky and smiled ever so slightly, excited for the game to start. Being benched did not bother her in any way anymore, in fact she enjoyed the experience, however she was also excited to be able to play in the coming years. For now, watching Dan, Bea hoped she’d be able to learn some of his techniques before he graduated.Broom: Silver Arrow (+3 to all stats)

─────Landon had slowly gotten himself used to being on the Quidditch team. However, he was still nervous when it came to matches, but he was going to get used to it eventually. Besides, unless something happened, Landon was on the bench. That wasn't so bad. He smiled as he looked at his team members. He felt like they could definitely win this. He hoped they would. He was proud of his team.
Landon watched as his team members settled into their positions, jumping a little when he heard Annie start to chant. He still wasn't all that used to sudden loud noises, but he knew that she was being enthusiastic about the game. He chuckled a little and settled onto the bench, ready to start the game. He would be supportive of his team even if he didn't get to play. He clutched his new Silver Arrow happily. He had worked hard to get this broom and he would be happy to use it if it came down to it.

Hufflepuff vs Slytherin - Spring 2024
Howard waited quietly near the bench as his teammates soon began to gather around for the match. Since he had woke that morning there had been this pesky lump in his throat that try as he might he could not shake. The realization that this would be his last Quidditch match had been weighing on his shoulders for weeks now, but with it finally here it was taking all of his strength to keep his emotions at bay.
However, with the arrival of each teammate his strength only grew and the sadness ebbed away. He even burst into a spot of laughter as Annie belted out a taunt to the Slytherin team. He would miss this for sure and leading this team would be one of many fond memories he would cherish when he thought back on his time spent at Hogwarts. Howard was proud of his team and the work he had done for Hufflepuff, but as his emotion came into check it was clear that his time here was done. His crimson eyes would scan his teammates and he would be leaving the Badgers in good hands as those before him had done. It was time to say goodbye, but not before one more ass whooping!
Win or lose it was time to go out with a bang and what better way than to take on Slytherin. Perhaps he would just forego his Chaser duties and try to knock Erin out of the sky just one more time. The thought brought a much needed smile to his face. "Alright Badgers." Howard's voice was strong, but the emotion was evident. "It's been my honor to captain you for these past years now. Some of you have been with me the entire time and some are just starting today, but I am proud of what we have accomplished together. Let's give 'em hell one more time! To the skies my friends!" With that Howard would mount his broom and skyrocket into the air one last time.

Tes bounded happily onto the field. She couldn't be certain, but she felt like this was her first truly sunny and pleasant quidditch match without any snow, rain, or fog. She hoped it was a good omen for the sunshiny Hufflepuffs to do well! Mounting her broom, she howled with laughter at Annie's taunts, clapping for her as she finished.
With a heavy heart, she listened to Howard encouraging them all. "To the skies, captain!" she cheered back, pushing into the sky with a whoop and holler.⭑☾☀☽⭑

Hufflepuff vs Slytherin - Spring 2024
Sarah was ready. This was her first Hogwarts Quidditch game ever! Even though it was pretty likely that she wouldn't get to play, since she was the second string chaser, she was excited none the less.
Sarah reached the field and the first thing she heard was her captain, Howard White talking to the team. So she hustled over to hear the end of what he was saying which was:
"To the skies my friends!"
All the children cheered including Sarah.

The sun's rays had lit him up like a battery. Our cheery boy leapt onto his broom and rocketed into the skies. It was the last match of the year, and he knew they had to make it count. The cup was just within grasp -- he could feel it. Without a single thought of losing in his mind, he spun through the air like a drill bit as the team of green and silver flew around the pitch.
What was it that he heard, coming from the Huff 'n Puff team? Something about slimy grimy Slytherins? He couldn't help cracking a smile at the rhyme and their sass. Yup, the Cloud Cobras were slimy alright, and well-oiled for a win.

"You okay, Alyssa? It's okay to be nervous." She looked at the newest first string chaser with her. She must be nervous about suddenly joining the main team whose job was to go first on the pitch and try to soften the load whilst getting plenty of goals. "Exactly, little badger. Annie is right," she tried to soothe the worries the other was having.
At Howard's speech, Rosette couldn't help the tears falling down. Last match of the ever last year for him. "Is been a honor having you as captain, Howard. I wish you weren't going this year. Thank you for your hard work. TO THE SKIES!"
