I’m not sure if maybe I want to deactivate my account on here. Just to be completely clear, I wouldn’t be making a new account, unless in the future I decide to come back, but I probably will not. I’m very rarely active on here and when I am it is just to reply to owls, and I feel really bad for those whom I owe replies to since I haven’t responded to them. Help me make a decision lol!!

Awww! I’d miss you if you leave. But, it is completely up to you, Kiera. How do you feel sticking around as Kiera? Do you feel like you can continue telling her story?

As others have said, it is completely up to you, but I would encourage sticking around a little longer and trying to find the spark again for either Kie or Ruby's sake, since we had long-term plans for Ruby and Elias. If you do end up de-activating, please let me know beforehand so I can plan accordingly.

I don’t believe we’ve ever known each other well, I just want to say this is entirely your decision. I went inactive for like a LONG time as Kit and I thought I would be gone for good. But imo never felt better when I returned. Maybe taking a hiatus is better for you, maybe not. It is ultimately up to you. Just know that your friends would be here for you if/when you decide to return.

I have seen people who haven’t been here for 6 months yet deactivate and just not be able to return for another while until 6 months are up though?

We don't let people deactivate before 6 months are up, ever. I am also pretty good at keeping up with our deactivations thread and I did not see anyone who was deactivated before 6 months. What you may have seen are soft deletions, which can be requested at any time but these people are also banned from returning.
People who simply disappear before 6 months are up, who you also can't find in the deactivation thread, were most likely banned, not deactivated.

Deactivating at 6 months is a much easier way for staff to keep track than only creating a new character after 6 months. Say you deactivate at 2 months and give us a name for your next character now, it is unrealistic that we'll remember that in 4 months. Or even in 2 months, making it very much easier to sneak in. The alternative would be checking the deactivation thread every single time we get a new profile. We get a lot of new profiles every day.
