One thing in Elisa's life that had never bored her was reading, the young girl enjoyed all kinds of books, from biographies to novels, there was no kind of book she didn't enjoy, but the major downside of this sweet hobby was that the more Elisa enjoyed reading, the more she seemed like her mother, which surely wasn't a good thing for the young girl, She could be anything other than her mother, a woman who preferred to spend her time either with books or with work than with her family,

Elisa couldn't bear the thought of being like her mother but neither could she stop reading books, there was nothing to replace the place books held in her heart and even if there was something like that, Elisa was far too busy to do so, her classes, assignments and will to make new friends had already filled her schedule, they overwhelmed her enough to start any new hobby or task, Elisa sighed as she finally got out of her deep thoughts, she knew that the more she would think about it, the bigger her worries would get,

After a moment, the young blonde finally stood up from the tree under which she was previously sitting and slowly started strolling around the grounds, there was nothing much but the cool wind was enough to relax her mind, after a while, Elisa finally decided that her time to go back into the castle had come, just when she was about to walk back in, she noticed someone flying, the person seemed oddly familiar, maybe an acquaintance from some of the events she had been to before coming to Hogwarts.....

"WATCH OUT WATCH OUT WATCH OUT!"

Mere moments earlier...

It was against the rules, she knew full well. Had that ever stopped her before? No. It had not and it would not now. She needed to get somewhere, and she needed to get there fast. She'd just been at the training pitch, working on some tricks. The pitch was farther from the castle than the flying class field was. Astra had Charms in a few minutes and she'd be downright furious with herself if she missed it. She had been planning to use the flying field but of course there was a class.

And so now, having lost track of time and needing to get to class fast, Astra had sacrificed safety from rulebreak and decided to fly to the castle. Through the grounds. Where- well, you know.

Zooming as fast as she dared, Astra exited the pitch at a reasonable height, taller than most students but not too high as to get caught in trees.

As she neared the castle, however, the snakelet was forced to make a choice: either she flew lower and risked running into people or rise above the fairly dense trees and be forced to make an extremely steep dive she didn't think she could pull off successfully.

As a result, Astra chose the former. And as a result of that, she zipped erratically this way and that, weaving between tree trunks and people trunks. You can make it you can make it you can-

"WATCH OUT WATCH OUT WATCH OUT!" Good God, what was she doing? The blonde pedestrian was right in the flightpath and just standing and staring and-

Astra pulled up on the broomstick and threw her back end sideways, gritting her teeth and willing it to stop.

She halted sharply. She cracked one eye open. "Are you alri- Oh." With a vague sense of dismay, Astra realized with whom she was avoiding a collision. "Miss Shakestra. How lovely. May I advise you briefly? When you are in the flight path of someone, it does not do to stare." Astra's tone and expression were entirely deadpan but still blatantly sarcastic in every way. Elisa would know. She'd recieved this same tone and expression for years now, ever since Astra realized there was no pulling this stick-in-the-mud into a life of fun.

Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive today

During her pre Hogwarts years, Elisa had met her fair share of hopeless cases but the one that had always managed to get on her nerves was Astra Norrick, the niece of Mrs. Lerian, a colleague of her father, a very polite woman compared to her niece who was way worse than peeves himself, Elisa had never gotten along well with her due to her nonchalant and chaotic personality which according to the young blonde was just too annoying.

Before Elisa could realize what was happening, she heard a familiar voice screaming her to watch out, one that she could recognize even from miles away, the voice of none other than Astra, a person she was hoping not to bump into during Hogwarts, atleast not during first year. Seeing the rash flying technique of the ginger, Elisa couldn't stop her self from sighing, Astra hadn't changed one bit, trouble still followed her everywhere she went to and the current situation was no different. Elisa remained in her place, without even flinching as Astra barely missed from crashing into her, while she tried to keep on a facade of bravery, deep inside her was fear, knowing the fact that some seconds and centimeters difference and both of them would have ended up in the hospital wing, maybe her luck was good? or was it?

Hearing the ginger's sarcasm, Elisa couldn't stop herself from chuckling in a mocking way, Astra had gotten quite bold for sure just because they haven't met for a while, "Well Miss Norrick, I don't believe this even is a flight path but I cant blame you, you've always had a remarkable talent in missing the obvious in everything" she snickered as her usual emotionless face slowly covered her again, Elisa couldn't believe that out of all the students in Hogwarts, why was it Astra she was dealing with?
