“Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” she inquired of the books as she scanned their spines. A very small collection of Muggle books, only classics, in this corner of the library, a little treasure trove pointed out to the girl by Aunt Aces via the “Letter of Secrets.” And to think her quarry was not among them.
“Except it is not Romeo I seek, but Sir Benedick,” she amended. “He is hiding, the scoundrel. I'm sure of it.”
It would not be so bad, except that she was long finished with The Hobbit and had not had the foresight to bring Fellowship as well. Curses.
The lithe Slytherin stood on the very tips of her toes in what would be a decent “en pointe” if she were a ballerina. As she was not, her search along the higher shelves ended before it even began, with her feet unable to sustain their precarious foundation. Perhaps pointe shoes would be an investment to make.
“A stool, a ladder, a new quarry,” she muttered, turning from the shelf and searching. “A side quest, yes. Plot twist, perhaps. Minor conflict.”
Although Astra's peculiar vernacular was certainly due to one of her moods, it could also be said that treating life as a book made it more fun. That's how she viewed a lot of her life, like a book. A plot twist here and there, like at the Fall Ball, and minor conflicts, again like the Fall Ball, all little obstacles and side quests as she approached the climax of her story. When? Who knew. No matter when it came, it was sure to come, as all good stories must have one.ooc : i'm so so sorry for the delay

Thoughts: ItalicsMaybe there would be a nice book to read tonight in the Library, Leaf thought, entering the place and taking in the grandeur of it for the hundredth time or so; The towering shelves never ceased to amaze. They quietly wandered along to the nearest shelf and skimmed over the spines with their fingers.
After a good two minutes of browsing through handbooks and other non-fiction, a title came up that finally sounded the slightest bit interesting: The Magic of Trees. When they said it sounded interesting, they really just meant that everything else was exceedingly dull.
They took it and were about to leave when saw someone in the corner of the Library, muttering to themselves as they searched through the shelves- Leaf recognised them from somewhere, but they couldn't quite recall where.
"Hi." They quietly approached her from behind, not wanting to disturb her but at the same time curious as to what she could be doing. But she didn't respond- perhaps they weren't speaking loud enough. Or she was too occupied to hear them.
"A stool, a ladder, a new quarry." What. She turned and looked at another shelf. “A side quest, yes. Plot twist, perhaps. Minor conflict.” What on earth? Confused, Leaf stepped back. "Well- have a nice evening." Would she have heard what they'd just said? They doubted it.
