Namely- the legendary Slytherin Dormbattles are back!!
To the newbees who have never heard of them- The Dormbattles are my own creation, basically a game that all of Slytherin can participate in (To be clear, this is organized and modded by me privately, this is not a staff organized event). It was supposed to happen every year but I ended up being too busy last year.

This year I'm not gonna make it a vote, but I will tell you the game
It's inspired by a game we used to play in sports class at my school, called "Brennball" (Burning Ball).

This is the field we'll be playing on! We need two teams (feel free to wish, but I will resort if we have an obviously stronger team, based on stats).

We will play a total of 10 rounds! For the first 5 rounds one team will be the running team, one team will be the ball retrieving team and then they will swap places.

So how does this game work?
I'm glad you asked.

The Running Team
Every base that is reached gives you a point. You want to get as many points as possible.

• Every round one of you will throw a ball. Throwing into a different section than you are standing in will require you to pass an accuracy check of 10 (Start Base and Base 3 each have two Sections with no DC). DO NOT give away in your post where you are throwing or who is throwing. This will go into your owl to me. The same person cannot throw two rounds in a row.
• While the ball is not in the goal, your characters are running. For every time that the ball retrieving team fails an accuracy check, you get to run to run to the next base. One base is the default your characters will run each round.
• If you are hit by a ball, you will have to start over on the start base.
• When you reach the start base before the 5 rounds are over, you start anew! Reaching the Start Base again awards +10 points!
• Your action owl will need to include: Who is throwing and into which section.

The Ball Retrieving Team
Every time the Running Team throws a ball, you want to get it into the goal as quickly as possible to stop them from reaching their bases.

• You pick five players every round to place into the five sections (1-4 and goal. You can't place the same players in the same sections two rounds in a row). DO NOT give away in your post where you placed your players.
• When a ball is thrown, I will roll accuracy for the person who is standing in the section that the ball is thrown into. If your accuracy is higher than the thrower from the running team, you catch the ball.
• Get the ball into the goal section. You will throw the ball into the goal section, which requires you to pass an accuracy check of 12 (if you caught the ball, you will have +3 accuracy to your throw, as you "saved time" by catching it). For every time that this accuracy check is failed (I will roll until you pass), every person of the running team will move on to the next base.
• You can also decide to throw the ball at a person to force them to start over if you hit (This is not an option for the person in the goal section)! This will be a normal accuracy vs evasion roll (potentially +3 acc if you previously caught the ball). If the person you aimed for is hit, they will need to return to the starting base. The rest of the team will move to the next base while you take this action! After that, the person standing in the section the ball lands in (the person you aimed for is standing in) will need to get the ball into the goal section and the game continues as normal. If they happen to stand on base 3, I will roll for the section it lands in.
• The person in the goal section caught the ball once you pass the accuracy check and needs to hit the goal still, which requires you to pass an accuracy check of 9. For every time this is failed (I will roll until you pass), every person of the running team will move on to the next base.
• Your action owl to me needs to include: Which of your players goes into which Section, their action. As you wouldn't know the section the ball lands in, you can send me conditional actions ("If the ball lands in section 3, David tries to hit Eleanore, if it lands in section 2, Alina aims for the goal section").
