The first meal of the year
There was something special about the first meal of the school year, It was a time for everyone to catch up with friends they had not seen over the summer, it was a time to bask in the sunlight of being a year up and feeling old. Something anyone over their second year was sure to be feeling.
This was a first for a couple things, it was her first time being a third year, and her first time being a prefect during this time. Clair had been a prefect for a while, since last May, but who knew what kind of trouble the newbies would cause?
Clair sat down at the table and waited to see if she saw anyone she knew, the sorting had already begun and Clair was sure it would take a while so she was not worried about missing anything. She kept her eyes peeled for friends or trouble, She could not help but feel excited about a new school year and all that it had in store for her and all of the students at Hogwarts. Hopefully this year there would be less drama than last year, not a hard feat for most people. This year there were new classes, classes she had been excited to do since she had started attending Hogwarts.

The first meal of the year
@Clair FernandezIt was Koko's first time at Hogwarts or anything to do with Hogwarts.
Her sister was schooled at BeauxBatons, France so Koko had never been to platform nine and three quarters to see her off.
When he entered the Great Hall for the first time, his legs gave out, everything was so gigantic.
And when they finally called out her name to be selected for a house, she thought she was going to faint.
When the hat said Gryffindor out loud, Koko was overjoyed, she was part of Hogwarts for real.
She sat down at a table next to a girl who was taller than her and wore a badge on her chest.
"Hello, what's your name?" asked Koko cheerfully.
"I'm Koko Rivers, I've just been sorted into Gryffindor, and what house are you in? By the way, are there tables for each house or do we ask to sit wherever we want, do I have to change seats?"
After all that verbiage she stopped for a moment to catch her breath, the excitement must have traumatised her, she never talked that much, she was more of a shy and simple girl.
She looked the girl in the face, she was pretty. We could tell she was someone important.
