Ah yes, the Astronomy Internship. Ara joined because of her interest in Astronomy and Astrology. She hasn't joined any other internships so far mainly because most are for 3rd years and up only but she could manage. The black and white-haired girl went to the location of the internship at about 10:55 pm. She entered and was given 2 chocolate frogs and some Every Flavour Beans, "Good Evening Professor, thanks for the snacks" she greeted and thanked him until she saw a familiar face, Cassie Jiang from the dung bomb prank. She wasn't surprised to see her there since she barely knew her but she thought she was about to meet all new people. She sat near her and put the cat pillow she brought on her lap.

"Greetings Cassie," she said to the girl laying on a blanket. One by one, students entered. By the pace of the entries, Ara could tell there won't be more than 10 people which was a relief and shame. Another reason that Ara wanted to join was to have something to do at night since she has trouble going to sleep. People ask if you're a night owl or an early bird, Ara is a very early morning bird.

As Del stepped into the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts, her heart raced with a mix of excitement and nervousness. She couldn't believe she was about to embark on her dream internship surrounded by the very stars she had spent countless nights gazing at.

Her decision to join the Astronomy internship was a result of her insatiable curiosity and, well, her slightly quirky interests. While many might find the magical world captivating enough, Delilah had always felt a magnetic pull toward the cosmos. Her love for aliens, the kind that might have wacky tentacles or communicate in intergalactic dance-offs, wasn't exactly a conventional passion, but she couldn't help herself.

Bounding up the stairs with an animated skip, Del called out with a dramatic bow her frizzy blond hair bouncing over her head, "Greetings, Professor !"

She took the chocolate frogs from him with a grin and stuffed them in her satchel, like always, full of unnecessary things. Delilah recognized the familiar face of Cassie Jiang and with a nod greeted Linda Ramirez. Her fingers brushed against a particularly fluffy and warm blanket. Delilah gathered the blanket in her arms, embracing it as if it were a long-lost friend.

Her hand rummaged through the satchel's depths, rustling through stones, empty candy boxes and odd trinkets until her fingers closed around what she was searching for. With a triumphant smile, she pulled out a slightly crumpled piece of parchment. Its edges were worn and tinged with a touch of yellow. She reached deeper into her satchel, and ends until they closed around a pen that had clearly seen better days. Its once vibrant color was now faded, and the end was chewed and ragged. As she held the yellowed parchment and the chewed pen in her hands, Del's expression transformed from triumphant to thoughtful.

She wondered if an alien or a mere spaceship would show up this night, it was her sole reason for embarking in all of this. The prospect of exploring the positions of stars, planets, and other celestial bodies wasn't an academic pursuit for her– it was a quest to find evidence of life beyond our own blue planet.

One thing in Winona's weekly planner that she looked forward to was the Astronomy internship. Punctual as always, the Slytherin entered the classroom at 11 PM sharp. Upon entering the classroom, she could see the professor of Astronomy and some of the other students who were already present. "Good evening, Professor," she said. Even though she was genuinely excited to observe Mercury, no sign of enthusiasm was apparent in her monotone voice. She continued to speak after facing the fellow students "Hello, everyone."

In one arm, she was carrying a plush toy in the shape of a dog. Despite not being the type to collect cutesy things, she found that the soft, fluffy toy she had previously received as a gift served as a rather comfortable pillow. The first sight that caught her attention was Professor Baird welcoming each student by giving every one of them chocolate frogs. What a nice person, she thought. If I were a professor, I would never put in extra effort to keep my students happy.

"Thank you." she said in a slightly quiet voice as she took the snack handed to her by the professor. After a quick glance at the place, she found herself a spot to sit down and quietly waited for the other students to come in.

When Lucia had heard about the establishment of an astronomy internship, it had been a no-brainer to sign up. Not only was it a sort of official club for the subject she'd loved for over four years now, but it would hopefully give her a taster for what an actual career in astronomy would be like. Lucia's upcoming OWLs already seemed to be looking over her, and she needed to decide what she would be taking on to her sixth and seventh years; whatever she did take on would limit her options for a job later down the line so she had to pick well. The problem was that the more Lucia thought about it, the more worried she got. So, as she made her way up the staircase to the first meeting of the astronomy interns, she promised herself that she would focus on the here and now rather than torturing herself.

Lucia pushed open the door, stiflying a yawn as she did so. After two months at home, it was difficult to get back into the routine of sometimes having to stay up as late as this for astronomy. She did notice, though, that there had been some blankets set out, so even if she fell asleep it would be okay. Professor Baird greeted her at the door and handed her a chocolate frog. "Good evening, Sir... oh, thank you." As she continued into the room, Lucia was disappointed to see that everybody there seemed to be younger than her, and not by a small amount. Most of them seemed to have brought something to take notes with as well, which Lucia hadn't done. Should she have brought her notebook? Well, she'd just have to make sure she remembered everything so she could write it down later. Lucia selected a blanket and sat down a little way from the others, pulling the blanket over her knees. Maybe this hadn't been a good idea after all.

Mellani entered the astronomy tower for the first meeting of the interns. She was not used to sleeping, so this internship was somewhat better than lying in her bed, staring at he dorm mates, and trying not to think about how she might lose them too at some point and trying not to cry. It was hard, and the pain became unbearable at times, so when she saw the opportunity to spend at least few of her nights another way, hesitation had not been a word in her dictionary.

She looked around at the multiple people already present. She knew Linda, who had become one of her really good friends back in first year, and the person who had been the last one to actually spend long and happy moments with Mellani. Oh how she wished that the moments after that had gone nicely too, but Linda was just another part of the Wizarding World, the world that she blamed for Olive's death. She shook he head slightly, trying to clear her thoughts. She also saw Ara, a person who she had only met briefly during first year.

Most of the people were the same age as her, so only one person actually stood out to Mellani. She looked at the older girl and wondered if the girl was feeling lonely with a bunch of second years. But what did she care? She couldn't help the empathetic kind side of herself feeling slightly bad, no matter how hard she tried not to care.

"Good evening sir", she said as she made her way towards the professor. Was it really still evening at 11? Probably not, but 'Good Night' didn't sound like a very good greeting, so for her, evening it was. "Oh, uh, thanks!", she said as she took the chocolate frog and beans the professor had offered. The chocolate frog she would eat at some point, but the beans, probably not. Over the course of her time at Hogwarts, the mere thought of eating those beans and taking her chances had stated to haunt her, and she might have been a curious person back in first year, but all of the curiosity and risk-taking had been drained out of her.

She would probably also choose to try and sleep in the balcony depending on the number of people who chose that option. If too many people chose to sleep, she would go to her common room, because she preferred less snoring, thank you very much. She took a seat and gazed out at the stars, wondering if Olive was anywhere in the sky, gazing back at her, even though she knew that that probably wasn't possible.
