December 24th, Christmas Eve,
2023.

It was a chilly morning as all the third years quickly rose up to their feet and decided to ditch Hogwarts. To go to Hogsmeade, which everyone seemed to love. Aries woke up late that morning so all her third year friends had already left. She dressed and finished her morning routine with a thought in the back of her mind.

Quicker than you could say "cheating", she squealed and squirmed, rushing hurriedly off to diagon alley. Her favorite roomates Es, Cice, and Del had also just recently woke up. "I'm heading over to the alley, want something?" Rie asked her. They looked confused for a bit. Ummm, nevermind that, be back in a hurry! she muttered again. Twas Christmas eve, and Rie already had presents under the little colorful light tree that she, Es, Cice and Lila set up. Aries hadn't mentioned it, but she did put a dancing charm on it. She laughed at the thou ght.

Using the floo network to get there, she pulled her winter coat close to her. A breeze flew by, making everyone in sight shiver. She took a rocky path she found (which she never used before) to Weasly's Wizard Wheezes. You might have guessed why. Hello! Where are the...she asked the Cashier lady. She mumbled some directions, and Aries was off again. right... she looked around for a second here! she took the package carefully and bought it at the counter, with some money she took earlier from her Gringotts vault. six galleons?! Ohhhh gosh! she thought to herself. mother's sure gonna be mad She cringed, then laughed, then realized how silly she looked and ran out. Only to be stopped by a familiar face.

As the morning sun gently filtered through the curtains of her dorm room, Delilah stirred from her slumber. With a groggy yawn, she stretched lazily in her bed, the messy covers tangled around her. Her Gryffindor scarf, which she often used as an extra blanket, had slipped down to the floor.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Delilah peered around the room, her messy blonde hair disheveled from a night of rest. Books and clothing lay scattered on the floor, a testament to her lack of tidiness. A stack of parchment papers from last night's homework was haphazardly piled on her desk, waiting for her to summon the motivation to organize them properly.

On this Christmas Eve, Delilah felt a surge of excitement as she woke up in her messy dorm room. Today was special, and she wanted to make it memorable. As she lay there, contemplating how to make the day extraordinary, she couldn't help but notice that her dorm mate, Ries, was nowhere to be found. She heard her saying something while she was just opening her eyes to fall asleep one more time but again, Delilah's brain cannot function properly in the morning. Her other dorm mates, Es and woody (Cicely)have just woke up too.

Delilah slipped on a pair of worn-in, brown cowboy boots, the soles echoing the adventures they had seen and clutched her usual satchel filled with useless things: stones, an empty candy box, a teddy bear she forgot there when... She actually doesn't know where she got it and why, it was just there, and a bunch of yellowish papers... her favorite cats sweater and of course a very warm coat.

Upon arriving at Diagon Alley, the enchanting atmosphere engulfed her. She took in the sights and sounds, her boots clinking against the cobblestones as she walked. Delilah felt like an explorer in a magical wonderland every time she visited the Diagon Alley.

With a sense of familiarity and excitement, Delilah pushed open the creaky door of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. The familiar scent of magical pranks and colorful products greeted her, and she couldn't help but grin with delight. She knew she was in for a treat.

As she wandered through the aisles, she slipped at bag of dung bombs in her satchel. Her eyes then fell upon a fake permission slip to Hogsmead, a place known for being frequented by Hogwarts students. Delilah remembered that only third years and above were allowed to visit the establishment, and she was just a second-year. However, curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't resist the temptation to take a closer look." 6 Galleons !" Delilah gasped, holding her head with one hand to stop it from falling in disbelief. She got out her money from her pants back pocket and started counting, then she shrugged her shoulders and slipped the paper in her satchel too. There are going to be consequences but she's going to worry about them later.

As she payed for her purchases at the counter, Del noticed two familiar messy braids in the distance. Ries ! She ran out of the store and walked up to her, that girl was always onto something !

"Merry Christmas Eve !" She said, a wide smile on her face.

Estelle was spending the holidays with her friends. She would usually be with her family at home, but both of her parents and Grandfather were away. Her Abuela hadn't contacted her and neither had her cousins. So she was spending Christmas at Hogwarts. She was sad that she couldn't see her family, but also determined to ignore her sadness. After all, it was Christmas Eve. Estelle got up and ready for the trip. They were all traveling by floo to Diagon Alley so that the others could get fake permission slips. Estelle already had one but she came anyway. She didn't want to be alone. Also, she needed to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Es changed into one of her legendary Christmas jumpers. It was her favourite, an obnoxiously red jumper with a white llama on it surrounded by Christmas lights. The caption beneath the llama read "Fa la la la llama". Estelle adored it. She got dressed and ready and they arrived. They each headed straight to Weasley's Wizards Wheezes and, while the others bought their permission slips, Estelle had a chance to grab some last minute presents for her friends.

She usually sticks to herself because she doesn’t trust others but she’s cool with anyone who is nice to her.

It was New Year’s Eve, a day where presents were delivered and a time for families to bond. Cicely was staying with her stepfather in London and she was quite happy because for once her mother wasn’t around. Her stepfather let her do anything. The grounds were caked with snow and the air was chilling the past few days. Cicely hated the weather, she had frozen feet every day tramping across nearby parks and blocked noses in the morning. Cicely spent most of her days curled up in her room, drinking hot beverages and hiding in books. She was hoping to stay in today, but one of her friends Aries invited her to go to Diagon Alley the other day. She felt she wasn’t going out much so she decided to join her, but now she regretted it. She wasn’t in the mood for it now yet she knew she couldn’t leave Aries hanging.

She slowly got ready, wearing a reasonable and warm outfit for the snowy weather before heading downstairs. She was greeted by a chilling breeze and she opened her bag and took out a pair of earmuffs before continuing along. Every step she took, she began regretting to come here. She finally arrived to the bustling streets and her first stop was Weasley Wizard Wheezes. One of her favourite shops. As she headed in, the cheerful jingle of the bell welcomed her and she made her way into the warm bright shop.

She walked across the aisles, staring at each item. At the end she bought a few dungbombs for later and a few bags of exploding bonbons. As she was turning to the cashier, she noticed a girl who she recognised. “Is that you Aries?” she asked.

is that you, aries? and merry christmas eve two familoar voices crept up on her at once. aries was caught by surprise, as she jumped and turned to see two beaming faces. oh! LILA AND CICE, i was quite terrified, you know. Anyways, thank you Lils and Merry Christmas Eve to both of you.

aries grinned and signaled for them to follow. ive been planning to stay up till midnight, i suppose no one would notice if we were still in past curfew. but, have you seen Es around? i thought she would be with you, but she does wake quite early, huh? she laughed as they strolled along the snowy streets of Diagon Alley and their faces glistening under the soft yellow lamp post lights. there were many decorations up and aries loved each one.

i should go find estelle, shan't i? huh, maybe she'll turn up somewhere. always doing that. she found a small bench for them to sit at and quietly asked if they'd like to search for Es. Estelle was the kind one, always wanting to gift, she had many fiery personality choices as well, but as long as aries was concerned, she was out buying gifts for them.

Delilah's face lit up as she heard the familiar voices of her friends, Ries and Woody, in the bustling Diagon Alley. She gave Woody a fist bump. Aries gestured for them to follow, sharing her plans to stay up past curfew until midnight, and the idea of a late-night adventure appealed to Delilah's adventurous spirit. However, her thoughts turned to Estelle, their missing friend.

"I haven't seen Es," Delilah replied, her brow furrowing slightly. "But you're right, she's an early riser. Maybe she's off somewhere preparing a surprise for us."

However, Delilah vehemently declined the offer. She hated London with passion, it wasn't as boring as Dursley was but London was gloomy and depressive and everyone seemed to be unhappy there. Delilah hated unhappiness.

When Aries suggested they look for Estelle, Delilah nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's go find her. She's probably hidden away somewhere with bags full of gifts for us. Santa should really report her for stealing his identity."

Estelle walked up to the others, listening in to their conversation as she got closer. Due to the hustle and bustle of the shop, they hadn't yet noticed her, but it was only a matter of time. She giggled as they discussed where she was, ending with Del saying that she was stealing Father Christmas' identity. That made her laugh. Estelle announced her presence to the group. "Hi guys! Sorry it took me so long - there was quite a lot of queuing. After all, what's Christmas without people getting antsy while waiting in line," She joked, hoping the others would find it funny "Anyway, I'm here now. Did everyone buy their Fake Permission Slips? I can't believe that the school hasn't stopped Weasely's Wizard Wheezes from selling them by now. You'd think that they'd have discovered the slips, after all, so many people get caught sneaking into Hogsmede. More fun for us though - we can go and they'll let us through." For all of Es' bravado, it was true that there could potentially be a punishment, if you got caught. however, it was worth it for the fun Hogsmede brings. She couldn't wait to go with all of her friends.

estelle nyx! aries almost squealed in excitement and terror at the same time. we've been looking for you, quite a long distance and you think its funny to scare us? she snapped jokingly. rie giggled and studied her. gifts? could i pleaseee take a quick look? aries begged like a little child. she stole a glance at estelle's bag, hoping to see something but was caught. she saw nothing interesting.

c'mon! lets head over to hogsmeade!! and yes, i agree with es, why wouldn't they find out of the fake slips. she laughed hysterically. her golden amber eyes narrowed in to the path leading to hogsmeade. she squinted a few times, the lights changing shape and doing funny dances. the winter breeze blew past, rie-rie's choppy dark cocoa hair swishing and swooshing. she lead the way, already having plans with golden and silver coins bouncing around.

galleons and sickles, ill win each time! aries thought as she explained her completely explicit plan to the others. yes, we shall trade tyem and then buy more! i need a full collection when i go home to mother, she'll be quite jealous. she grinned, amd smirked just at thought of her mother like that. waving off the evil thought, she followed the pathway,
peeking in to the marvelous sight.

As Estelle's voice suddenly cut through their conversation, Delilah was so startled that she nearly jumped out of her skin. She clutched her chest, her eyes wide with alarm. In her flustered state, she stammered, "Merlin's mustache! Estelle, you nearly made me cast 'Tickling Tornado Tango' on you!"

Delilah leaned in and chuckled at her comment about the Weasley's shop insane camouflage abilities, "I have a theory, guys. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes must be using some kind of 'Anti-Detection Charm' on those permission slips. You know, like they've got a secret ingredient called 'School-Be-Gone' in all their products. I can just see them with a cauldron brewing it up right now."

Delilah clutched her satchel tightly as they set off down the path toward Hogsmeade. The cobblestone road stretched out before them, flanked by ancient, gnarled trees that arched overhead like leafy sentinels. The golden hues of late afternoon bathed the landscape in a warm, enchanting glow, casting dappled shadows on the path. Her hazel eyes sparkled with excitement as they absorbed the magical world around her. The first time she went to Hogsmead was with Estelle and it was one of the best memories she made at Hogwarts.

Delilah's heart swelled with excitement as she walked the path to Hogsmeade, surrounded by her best friends, Woody, Ries, and Es. Returning to this enchanting village held a special place in her heart, and the prospect of experiencing it all over again with her cherished companions filled her with boundless joy.
