Estelle was feeling bittersweet about leaving Hogwarts for the first time. Of course she couldn't wait to see her parents and grandfather but she loved Hogwarts like a second home and was sad that she had to leave.

Es pulled her battered trunk into the carriage and sat down. She hadn't invited anyone to sit with her, and was regretting it as she could use some friends to cheer her up.

She sat and stared out of the window. She had been one of the very first people to board the train, just by luck, and she watched as others began to board, hearing snippets of conversations from the people that walked past her carriage.

Estelle pulled open her trunk and took out her book. It was a book on botany that her grandfather had sent her and it was full of colourful illustrations of the plants and their uses. She absolutely adored it.

Es put it down and stared out the window. Most of the people had boarded the train and it was preparing to set off. She stared at Hogwarts, mentally photographing the outline of the castle, silhouetted by the sun above. She loved Hogwarts but knew she had to come home.

Still, she'd be returning soon for the Summer Camp. She couldn't wait. She'd never been to a camp before and had no clue what to wear or bring. She hoped her parents would know.

Estelle invited Linda to sit with her as soon as she asked. It was nice to have a friend accompanying her back home. That reminded her - the moment she got back, her mum was going to drive her to her best friends house for its birthday party. She absolutely couldn't wait to see him again. Estelle looked at Linda's photos. They were amazing! They captured many of Estelle's favourite places and she hoped to see more of them when Linda took them. Those are incredible! I love the colours and they are taken so well! You should be a photographer. Estelle took a cupcake and smiled. Linda pulled out a drawing of a meteor shower. It was one of the most amazing things Estelle had ever seen. It looked incredibly realistic. "That's incredible Linda! I had no idea that you could draw like that!" Estelle continued to chat to Linda as the train set off. "So - favourite magical and non magical sweet/chocolate? My favourite magical sweet is a Fizzing Whizzbee. My dad bought me one when I was little and it was so fun! They make you float! My favourite non-magical sweet is a Lindt egg. My mum gets them for me at Easter. The chocolate literally melts in your mouth."

Estelle was always amazed by how little some wizards had visited the muggle world. It intrigued her how little they knew. Then again, if Es had been a muggle-born, she would have known absolutely nothing of the Wizarding world. Luckily, as a half-blood, she'd experienced some amazing magical things before coming to Hogwarts, although she had had no idea as to how lots of magical things worked when she first arrived at Hogwarts. That had been the night where she first met Linda. Estelle was pulled out of her memories by Linda's questions. The latter of the questions, Estelle totally agreed with. They really hadn't talked that much in the previous year. Es hoped they would talk a lot more in the next. "We really should talk more, I completely agree. Today I am coming home for an afternoon and sleepover, as it is my best friend's birthday. I'm really excited. He's invited some of his new school friends round and I can't wait to meet them! Tomorrow I am going to Summer Camp. After that, who knows? My parents will be away for a bit so I'll have the run of the house but I'll probably go to my Grandfather's house. What about you?"

Linda's summer seemed amazing! Hanging out with friends and family in a mansion. A mansion!! Es still couldn't get over the fact that Linda could afford something like that. "I still can't get over the fact that you have a mansion! Obviously not this holiday as we're both very busy, but at some point can I come and see it? It must be amazing to have so much space. And the garden! You have a big garden, right? I only have a tiny one at my house because there isn't much space, but my Grandfather has a big garden." Es had always wanted to dye her hair but had never worked up the courage. She knew that it could sometimes damage your hair and she didn't want that to happen. Then again, it did look awesome. She couldn't wait to see Linda with red hair. She was certain it would look amazing on her. "Favourite magical and non-magical creature... I've had arguments with people about this," Es giggled "My favourite magical creature is 100% a Hippogriff. They are what got me into loving magical creatures. My father took me to see them a few years ago in Scotland and we rode them. It was incredible! My favourite non-magical creature is a capybara. They are adorable and can run at speeds of up to 35kph when on land, even though they look really slow. They can swim incredibly well too. What about you?"

Estelle hoped that she could show Linda her house someday. There were so many things she could show her - like the basement/play room where her dad could show her magic without muggles seeing it through the windows or her bedroom, decked out with fantasy posters and many, many books. She had been aiming to create a library in her room but it required 1,000 books and Estelle only had 200. However, she had made some book nooks to put in her room while she was at Hogwarts and she hoped to make her books look adorable. She was also planning on growing some more plants, although her parents already claimed she had too many, which was clearly untrue. You can never have too many plants. As Linda spoke of her favourite animal, Estelle was amazed by how little she knew of the non-magical world. She had expected and knew that Linda knew little about technology, but a lack of basic knowledge about the animal kingdom? However, Estelle soon realised that it probably wasn't basic knowledge generally. Lynxes and bobcats weren't the most well-known of creatures, even though to Es they were basic knowledge. Still, they should be known about more. She loved them. "The animal you are talking about is either a lynx or a bobcat. They are both adorable big cats. However if it's brown, it's probably a bobcat as lynxes have a more silvery coat for blending in with the snow. Also, speaking of animals, I recently found out that you can make a potion, or spell - I can't quite remember - that will give you the ability to turn into an animal! It's so cool!! What would you like to be able to turn into?"
