Right. So he was supervising the Phoenix cabin? That was fine, as long as he got to be able to go out nightly and watch the stars, capture something cool and fun and interesting for everyone to mingle with when it came to his lessons for the future years, or maybe if they asked him about it. That would be part of the drive for him selecting to watch over the cabin.

If anyone were to come in right this second, Octavius wasn't watching the door, but he was working on setting up his own bed with his own bedsheets. His pillows and bed were draped in black fabric covered with randomly placed yellow stars. The stuff he worked on, hopefully as campers entered, would be handmade poster paper- which he picked up from a store when he dropped Clark off at his brother's house. There were colored markers and craft supplies- as well as glue if anyone needed it.

Not that they were expected to do anything, he was just hoping he could've given his campers a fun time by allowing them a good memory. He turned around and sat on the floor, facing the door. He was prepared to say hi to anyone who entered. Even if it was a bear.

When Alyssea checked the cabin assignments, she was both nervous and excited. She only recognised one name (aside from Professor Baird as the chaperone, of course) so she would have to learn a whole new set of names. Not that the task unnerved her; she'd done it many times before. Besides, she signed up for summer camp to make new friends, so it would defeat the point of coming if she only stuck to people she knew.

She took her bags with her and headed over to the Phoenix Cabin. As everyone headed to their own cabin arrangements to settle their stuff, Alyssea wondered to herself. Had anyone arrived yet?

Her question was answered when she opened the door.

There was Professor Baird himself, settled comfortably on the floor. Alyssea immediately smiled and bowed (it was a habit she picked up while living overseas when she was younger) to greet him. "Hi Professor! How are you?"

She looked around the place. The cabin was homey and felt as if they were just in a quaint abode in the middle of the woods. There was a stone fireplace with couches surrounding it. Sitting there at night with a book and maybe some tea sounded pleasant considering they would be here for an entire month.

Alyssea looked back at the professor. "Has anyone arrived yet or is it just you at the moment, sir?"

It had taken a lot of talking to himself combined with sporadic owls to and from his Aunt Teresa to convince Cyrus to participate in Hogwarts’s summer camp this year. She had told him it would be good for him to go to Hogwarts again, that the girl he'd befriended, Thea, might stay for camp this summer. And even if she didn't, his aunt reasoned that Cyrus might make new friends.

Cyrus needed friends. Desperately. So he signed up for summer camp and, along with the other Ilvermorny students who were participating, took a Portkey to Hogwarts.

He was in the Phoenix cabin, which was cool─he actually knew a fair bit about phoenixes. Being a Thunderbird, other magical birds had often intrigued him. He had never seen a real-life phoenix before, but he envied their regenerative abilities.

Cyrus was excited to enter the cabin, and he wore a wide smile on his lips as he skipped towards it. From the outside, it looked homely and cosy. When he opened the door, two people were already inside─a girl and a guy he assumed was the cabin's chaperone. Cyrus gazed at his surroundings, which were warm and inviting. The cabin reminded him of his aunt's vacation home in Lake Placid, and it ignited strong feelings of longing within him.

His smile would dampen, if only slightly, as he stared at the cabin. It would come back in full force when he glanced back at the two people inside. 'Hello!' he said, turning to face them. 'I'm Cyrus! What are your names? It's nice to meet you both!'

What a year it had been, Bubba thought to himself as he made the walk from the castle down to the campgrounds that marked the beginning of summer break and summer camp. This was probably going to be a bit nicer than camp at the Quidditch Stadium, at least that's what he hoped. He'd had fun at least years camp but camping and tents weren't his speed, the cabins sounded much nicer. He was just ready to unload his brain after a long year. He'd become a Prefect, gotten a girlfriend, became a broom racing captain, and then he stopped two of the last three activities. He quietly felt he was better off that way, now he just had time to focus on his studies, broom racing, and Sam. His relationship with Sam was definitely the best thing to happen during the school year. He knew her birthday was during camp and he was hoping they'd have a chance to celebrate together.

Bubba entered the campground with his full rucksack on his back and his Siamese cat, Kalle, in tow behind him. He knew they'd probably be in the cabin for about five minutes before Kalle ran off somewhere, he knew the cat would come back eventually. Kalle was normally good for a bedtime snuggle but beyond that, as with all cats, he came and went as he pleased. Standard cat activity really.

He walked over to the board and looked for his name in the cabin assignments. Phoenix cabin. How obscene. Putting a Ravenclaw in the firebird cabin. He'd just have to deal with it in his own, quiet way (was it inappropriate to TP your own cabin?). He checked the rest of the names on the list to see if he knew anyone he'd be sharing a cabin with. There was Opeila, a Slytherin Prefect that he hadn't ever seen eye to eye with but had a grudging respect for, and Alma Stoll, who he'd met in the silliest way possible, breaking his arm while rescuing her from being trapped in a closet. She was very nice but it had been a painful experience. Besides them, he knew... no one.

Well, it should be a good time at least, and new friends were always a welcome thing for him. He looked around and found the cabin he was looking for and walked in, Kalle still in tow. It was a very nice cabin, quaint, rustic, Bubba felt quite at home in it. He very much liked the fireplace but hoped they wouldn't need it given it was summertime. He immediately noticed Professor Baird but did not recognize the other two students currently inside. "Professor Baird," he said to the Astronomy Professor with a polite nod before turning to the other two, "Howdy, Bubba McGarry," he didn't offer his hand as he was preoccupied with his rucksack. He walked through until he saw an unclaimed bedroom and headed in, Kalle jumped into one of the bunks and laid down immediately. Bubba set his rucksack down on the bed next to Kalle and started unloading some of his things, placing his phonograph on one of the writing desks.

After a couple of minutes of unpacking, Bubba decided to leave the rest of it for later and headed back into the main cabin to meet more new arrivals.

"°Hello!°" Kanae says, bowing, "This is the Phoenix Cabin people right?" The girl doesn't know a lot of English but she is learning. At first, she didn't want to join summer camp for she wasn't sure that it was available for international students to come if they wanted to. So when she found out that Mahoutokoro students can come, she was exited because she might see her cousin, Ara around. "I'm Kanae Suzuki! By the way, hello professor!" She said with her Japanese accent. '°Eek! This is exciting! I get to meet the students at Hogwarts! I heard great things about this place°' she thought.

"Bubba and Cyrus right? What schools are you guys from?" Kanae asked. She didn't know the name of the other girl so that's why she only called two names. '°Wait...Am I talking too much? Is my accent bothering them? I'm quite an airhead when not studying or taking tests...°' the brunette asked herself. She put down her maroon suitcase for now. It looked like her future companions carried big cases instead. She was half-blood so she had privileges with suitcases, luggages, and other more modern muggle things. Kanae had a backpack too, it was not that filled since most of her items and clothes were in her suitcase.

Lorelai had just arrived by the portkey that her school provided. Summer Camp was something she really wanted to do, or well, go to. And Magical Summer Camp? This would be even more fun! Once the girl arrived, she went to check the cabins, and she was in the Phoenix cabin. She knew a lot about these fire birds, because of the book "Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them". Lorelai had really liked the book, reading it several times. She grabbed her suitcase and backpack, and went to the cabin. There were loads of students already in there. She didn't expect this many people to already be in the cabin. She knew there was a Castelobruxo girl in the cabin, but she didn't properly know her. Perhaps that would change. Lorelai decided to say something. "Hello everyone! I'm Lorelai Diniz." She also knew, that in this cabin, there were a few rooms, with one bunk bed each. She was curious to know who would bunk with her. The girl didn't mind if she would sleep on top or at the bottom, she wasn't scared of heights, and her parents always let her sleep at the top, but she didn't mind. The girl knew that more students would arrive, and there weren't allowed boy and girl rooms, so she knew she'd have to stay with a girl, she did, want to bunk with a girl, so this rule didn't matter. She decided she'd wait for more students, so she'd have more choices.

More students joined the cabin, which only made Cyrus's smile widen. He loved people! There were so many potential friends in this cabin...

He waved at the new boy who said howdy and said his name was Bubba. Cyrus wasn't sure how many people on the roster would show up, so he didn't yet know if he would bunk with someone, or if he would have the opportunity to sleep on his own. He didn't mind either way, and he was excited at the prospect of sharing living quarters with someone. Cyrus could be an amazing roommate!

'Yep, my name's Cyrus!' he affirmed when Kanae spoke. 'It's super awesome to meet you!' His enthusiasm paused for only a moment as he decided to mention he was a Thunderbird in addition to an Ilvermorny student. 'I'm from Ilvermorny─Thunderbird, AKA the best house.' He shot Kanae another smile. All of his smiles were genuine: Cyrus was eternally filled with joy, and smiling 24/7 was one of the ways his joy didn't overflow. 'What school are you from?'

Another girl joined the cabin and introduced herself as Lorelai. 'Hellooo!' Cyrus exclaimed, waving excitedly and bouncing on his toes. Without noticing it, he had dropped his belongings on the ground next to him. 'I'm Cyrus! It's nice to meet you!' He nearly fell over and leaned back on his heels to steady himself. 'I'm so happy there are so many cool people here!'

He then noticed Bubba had left. He craned his neck, trying to see if the other boy was still in the cabin, and finally, he came back to the main area. 'Hi Bubba!!!' he said energetically (and loudly). 'Are you planning on bunking with anyone?'

"Nice to meet you too! I'm from Mahoutokoro! There are no houses here but our robes change color depending on our grades and the higher the grades the more superior you are. It's a pretty good system if you ask me" Kanae replies to Cyrus, smiling as well.

The girl saw another person in the room 'If I'm correct her name is Lorelai Diniz. She just entered' The brunette thought. She went up to Lorelai and spoke, "Hello! Your name is Lorelai, right? That's a pretty name!" she compliments. "Since we're both girls, wanna bunk together? Do you want the top or bottom? I'm fine with either" she asks with a nice smile.

Kanae loves speaking and interacting with people. She also wants to make foreign friends here too. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself Lorelai-chan. I'm Kanae Suzuki from Mahoutokoro." she bows as she introduces herself to the girl. Kanae is still waiting for a response. Since she hasn't seen many girls besides Lorelai and Alyssa her choices are limited for now. But to her, it was better to bunk sooner than later because if you wait too long there are much more limited a lot of options too. The brunette looked around, 'This cabin is full of extroverts huh?' she thinks 'But that makes them easier to be friends with'.

It was a warm day. The sun was shining through the trees and Maila felt as though she was going to overheat in these clothes if she didn't change soon. Klaus was walking beside her, still in his School Uniform. Maila was too, but she had opened up every clothing piece that she possibly could -buttons, jackets and so on- and wore her red converse, so she looked much less elegant and more casual. Her curly hair was tied up in a messy bun at the back of her head but the majority of curls had fallen out and framed her face.

As they walked, Maila let her gaze grace every single person and her surroundings. It was time for Summer Camp and Maila was incredibly excited. Alaric was somewhere around here too but he had been assigned to a different Cabin. Her Twin should also be around but there were so many people chatting and walking around that she could not see him. Pushing her satchel up a bit more on her shoulder and doing the same with her Violin case, Maila would push open the door of their Cabin and walk in with Klaus.

A beaming smile spread across her lips and she shook her friends arm in excitement as they walked in. A couple of people had already arrived, including a professor. Maila did not recognize any of them. „Hei!” her smile was still as bright as when they had walked in, not fading even the slightest bit. „I'm Maila! I'm from Durmstrang, so nice to meet you all!” Her words were accompanied by her Finnish accent and as her gaze went over all the people, she wondered who she would share a cabin with.

Taking a small moment to look around, her heart made a little happy jump. She felt right at home in the rustic cabin, reminding her so much of Summers in Finland or cozy winter's where she'd cuddle up on the couch with her Mum, watch a movie and drink tea. „Have you already decided on who is rooming together? Or can we choose?”
