BEFORE THE PAST

Rose Hayes was seven years old when she and her parents left Greece to return to her native England. Her parents, Rue and Mason Hayes, were emeris sorcerers, renowned for their dubious use of magic. When Rose joined Hogwarts, her parents expected her to end up in Ravenclaw, like the two of them. What a shock when she was sent to Hufflepuff! Rose returned home every Christmas until her fifth year, when, in sixth year, Floyd Montgomery asked her to come and stay with him, if she felt like it. He had always lived in a big, happy family of a dozen or so brothers and sisters. Their friendship grew into love, and one June 2005, they were married. They went to live in Ecuador for four years, before returning to the house they loved so much, in Portsmouth. They gave birth to Violet on February 23rd 2010.

HERE COME THE SUNFLOWER

Izy arrived at the Montgomery home on May 1, 2012, just as the sun was rising. The world greeted her with a smile, which made the newborn laugh instantly. She and her sister got on wonderfully, and the family quickly expanded with the birth of little Arlo on March 8, 2014, followed by Jasper on November 6, 2016. Four years later, while she and Arlo were playing in the garden, a branch broke off and fell on her little brother. It was the first time her magic had worked. Exactly two years later, her last brother, Zachary, was born on October 26, 2022. Izy is very close to her siblings, loves them more than anything and can't wait to join Hogwarts to be at her older sister's side.
