Pax took a deep breath as they faced the rest of their team. This season's games had not gone the way they would've liked, but that was alright. What mattered now was this game, and proving that Gryffindor was a strong contender, not to be messed with. Like they always had, and like they always would.

"Right, team," they addressed. "We've got this, ok? We work hard, we strive to be the best, and that will come into fruition today. We will do well."

As they spoke, they hoped these words would reassure any nerves, and motivate, not only the team but also themselves. Nonetheless, they were ready.

They looked at their co-captain with a smile. "Ethan, do you have anything to say?"

Once/If Ethan had spoken, Pax would nod. "We've got this," they repeated. "Go Gryffindor!"

With that, they grabbed their beater's bat, mounted their broom, and took to the sky.

Erin was not about to go another game with a loss. Not that she had high aspirations about playing in the summer games, she was still hopeful, just not optimistic. In the five years she had played quidditch, Slytherin had not once won the annual cup. It was frustrating because she felt that she could beat them and perhaps she was being held back, perhaps it was her ego getting ahead of her. She really did not know either way but she would need to get over herself and just play the game if she wanted to get anywhere at all.

This time they were facing off against Gryffindor. none of them were even her age, she was playing against a bunch of 'kids'. She had mixed emotions when she had this revelation. yes, they were younger. Yes, Slytherin had the advantage. But what if they lost all the same? What if they lost to a bunch of underclassmen? It was enough to set the part-Veela into a mood as she rounded the perimeter of the pitch as per the tradition whenever a game starts. The cheering of the crowd was energizing but was it enough?

She would let out a sigh and glance back at her own team. She was the oldest, but there were multiple students only a year or two behind her. This was either going to be a slaughter or an utter embarrassment she reasoned. "Let's get this over with," she announced out loud to whomever on her team might her her muttered words of 'encouragement.'

They needed a large number of quaffle scores if they wanted to take the summer game, more than she felt that they would be able to reasonably achieve in the span of a single game. It was likely a bust there, but they could still take thew game and beat Gryffindor into the ground one more time before the summer holiday.

The girl was excited, this was her second game. Her first one didn't do that well, but she was sure they'd do well this time.

Pax, their captain, gave an inspiring speech, so Hannah was kind of sure they'd do well. At least try to. Last match, she had fallen of her broom, this time she hoped that wouldn't happen.

Hannah then mounted her broom, she was now flying.

The weather was clear so she hoped Elena could find the snitch quickly. Hannah also hoped her team would score many points, and possibly win.

xxRallying the troops for their last game hadn't worked. Like, at all. Maggie remembered the horrific loss all too well, the way that she had completely failed, fallen, blown the chance at a win. Obviously, it hadn't been entirely her fault. After all, it took two (or seven) to ruin a Quidditch match and lose so catastrophically that it could (would, and should) be considered a ridiculous and embarrassing failure. Oh, well. So much for letting bygones be bygones. Maggie took the field, surveying the competition with a watchful eye. It wasn't their first rodeo with Gryffindor and surely wouldn't be their last, but Maggie remembered in screaming color when they'd lost to them last--Pax Zhang had shown their smug face and the rest, as they say, was history.

As Beatrice walked in with the Slytherin Quidditch Team, she could barely believe that she was part of it now. Her heart hammered in her chest, hardly able to contain her nervousness and excitement. Watching from the stands was one thing but being a part of the team and hearing the cheering crowds was a completely different experience. It was a beautiful day, perfect conditions for a good game. Beatrice walked over to the benches and took her place, mentally wishing her team good luck and hoping that they would win today.

It was the last match for the school year of 2022/2023 and somehow Cash feeling a bit nervous. It was not the case in their first-ever match. No. Cash had been playing as Beater for their house as long as they can remember. Their nervousness was something the green eyes could not placate. Maybe perhaps since the house of Slytherin begin the new year with a bang which in other words won the first-ever match for this year, Cash had the same expectations of how they wanted to close the year.

As they listened to the strategy that both the new and old captains of the House of Snakes dished out, Cash donned their Quidditch gear and uniform. Once it was time to enter the pitch, the young socialite grab their Silver Arrow. It had been such a long time since the last time they rode the broom. Taking a deep breath as they took their formation in the lineup before entering the pitch, Cash tried to calm their nerves.

Once the announcer was done announcing the lineup for Gryffindor, it was time for Cash and the rest of the Slytherin team to kick off from the ground. Flying around the pitch when they are done the entrance lap is and always will be Cash's favorite moment before the gate of hell break loose. When the entrance lap was done, Cash took their position and park themselves high above the ground.

Their green eyes bounce from one Gryffindor player to the next. Some of their faces Caash was familiar with but some did not. It seems there is a change in the team so does Slytherin. No more the awesome and tenure C0-Captain of theirs, Tyranni Whitethorn. It was a shame that Whitethorn could not close the school year with them.

But with or without Whitethorn, the Cloud Cobras are always great and solid team players of Quidditch. The weather is sunny and clear. It was indeed a good day to fly around and whack Bludgers toward the opposing team. Gripping the handle of their bat a bit tighter, Cash thunks the bat against their broom shaft thrice.

"Let's close this year and win this match with a bang, Cobras!"They uttered. "Strike hard, strike first, no mercy!"Cash yelled out battling with the uproaring cheering and screaming that surrounded the pitch courtesy of the exciting and loyal spectators that attend today's match. Let the game begin!

It was Mellani's first quidditch match, and she was very excited for it, even though she knew that she was benched and didn't have any important role to play unless one of the other chasers fell down or had to drop out. Mellani took her place on the bench and looked at the match with great concentration, not wanting to make any mistake in case she did have to play.
