It was a warm spring afternoon. Classes had finished for the day. The peaceful spring air spelt strongly of fresh blooming flowers wafted through the grounds of Hogwarts. Alana was wandering down towards the Great Lake her fiery red hair swayed behind her with every stride the young girl took.
Alana wore her normal school uniform with her white blazer top, pleated black skirt, her black robes that rested right above the young girls wrists, while the bottom of the robes bellowed behind the girl resting slightly above the ground. Along with her tawny brown satchel that rested across her left shoulder hanging off of her right side. Alana had her fiery red hair in a partial ponytail while the rest of her hair was down swaying behind her gently.
The warm spring air wafted through the grounds of Hogwarts on Alana’s little journey towards the Great Lake. The sun ignited the sky brightly with its radiant rays of sunlight. The baby blue sky had small cirrus clouds scattered about that resembled thin fluffy white threads in the sky.
The great lake seemed to shimmer the closer Alana approached it, the dark still water would ripple every now and then with the movements of the creatures that reside inside of the vast lake. The few trees that scattered the lake covered some of the edges of the water covering the edges with some shade. The sandy shore by the lake seemed untouched though a few frogs would hop around disturbing the dirt.
As Alana approached closer to the lake the fiery red haired girl seemed to smile brightly, her sea-foam blue eyes sparkled with pure joy. Being outdoors was always a favorite activity of Alana's. Being able to relax in the outdoor weather was always calming and rather relaxing for the young Gryffindor girl. Alana continued to walk with small strides approaching a small ledge with a vast oak tree that was settled a few inches above the vast lake.
Grinning to herself Alana felt like that was a perfect spot to sit at. Alana walked with a little beat to her step as she moved closer to the oak tree. Setting down her tawny brown satchel that rested around her shoulders, the young Gryffindor placed it down on the ground. Sitting down underneath the oak tree Alana pulled out her Potions homework to begin and finish it while Alana pulled out her Potions textbook to help her if needed to do her homework. Taking in a fresh breath of air Alana smiled brightly gazing around her surrounding as her gazed rested across the Great Lake.
Resting against the oak tree Alana felt relaxed as she began her potions homework quietly to herself humming a soft little tune to herself. Dazing off into her own little world.

I walked away from class with confusion etched onto my face; why did loads of kids keep saying ‘May the fourth be with you’ today? I didn’t make any bleeding sense at all and it was stressing me out. Maybe some of my friends know it? Either way, it was getting rather annoying and I wanted them to stop.
We didn’t have any lessons left for the day and, seeing as it was such nice weather, I wanted to go down to the field, well, the black lake, and lay in the sun a little. Get a tan, perhaps? Haha, that’ll never happen in Scotland! Not at this time anyway. As I dwindled down to the water side, I saw a girl I knew only vaguely. Given the size of the school it was very easy to have not really seen her for a meaningful interaction since all the way back in October when I lost the quidditch game. Wasn’t her name Alana? We were by the castle when she walked over to me… and then we went to another girl. I couldn’t remember her name — had she even introduced herself? It’s all a bit fuzzy to be honest.
I watched as she sat down by a tree and got on with some homework — thank the lucky stars I still have some crumpled homework in my bag too. I cant even remember what for. Perhaps Astronomy? Uh, maybe History of Magic?
“Alana!” I called as I neared the tree. I plopped down beside her, accidentally nudging her. “Sup,”
Oh. Oh I had plans. I juuust needed her in the right spot.

The warm humid air rising from the vast Great Lake seemed to envelop the area. Alana seemed to relax under the vast oak tree. The edge of the vast lake lapped across the sides of the small edge. The many birds that called Hogwarts home fluttered about singing their melody in a harmony type of way. With her textbook out along with parchment to work on her assignment Alana seemed a bit relaxed. The young girl always found doing homework peaceful. It was just a plus she was able to do it right here besides the vast Great Lake.
While zoned out focused on her work Alana did not notice right away a certain Slytherin boy speaking to her. Not until he plopped down beside the fiery red haired girl. Alana blinked in confusion turning her head slightly towards the boy as her belongings that were on her lap fell slightly to the ground after being nudged. Alana frowned slightly, a tad annoyed at being disturbed from her studies, but the young girl shrugged it off smiling warmly at Lucian staring the young boy down softly.
”Hello Lucian it sure has been a while hasn't it? How have you been?”
Alana spoke softly with her honey smooth tone. Alana’s fiery red hair swayed softly as a gentle breeze caught a few strands. The sea-foam blue-eyed girl continued to smile softly; her eyes seemed to dazzle like a bright starry night. Alana turned to the side picking up her belongings that had fallen off of her lap.
As the birds continued to flock around harmonizing together. The soft lapping of the lake's waves echoed throughout the vast area. Even the chatter from the forbidden forest seemed to echo across towards the Great Lake. Alana, now having her belongings back on her lap, turned her gaze back towards Lucian looking the young Slytherin first year up and down. A soft smile appeared in the girl's sun-kissed soft oval shaped face. Her button nose seemed to pop out as the sun reflected Alana’s vibrating freckled splattered face.
”It is such a lovely day is it not? The lake is quite peaceful and reminds me of home. Anyways, what brings you out to the lake? Are you perhaps studying as well? Or maybe just getting away from all the chaos known as school.”
Speaking in her usual soft honey tone voice Alana seemed to also have a bit of a hint of a tease in her tone as she still continued to smile her soft caring smile. The young girls fiery red hair continued to sway gently while she pulled back a few strands of her fiery red hair. She awaited for Lucian to respond back while she turned her gaze for a second back across the Great Lake her sea-foam blue eyes seemed a bit transfixed across the lake in curiosity and pure serenity that surrounded the young Gryffindor girl.
