History

Elektra was born in Greece to a single and young mother, who was still in college. Her parents broke up before she was even born. Her mother failed to create a stable life for herself and her daughter in her small hometown, in order to find a job she immigrated to England with her daughter when Elektra was just about 2 years old. This made it hard for her father to be a part of her life, but for every holiday and birthday he sends her a card and visits her once or twice every year.
Elektra grew up as a regular muggle child, with some economical problems from time to time. She spent most of her time skating around her neighborhood and playing with the other children. When she was old enough to attend school, her personality really started to show. She would constantly cheat on her exams, not pay attention during class and was always an energetic and playful goofball.
One day when she was about 9 years old, she got caught cheating on an exam and was called to the couselor's office. Her exam paper was standing on the table when the phone in the room started to ring and the counselor got up to answer it. While the counselor turned his back, Elektra felt so stressed that she started praying that the paper would just disappear. Something worse happened and a spark hit the paper, starting a small fire on the table. For a couple of seconds, she froze in shock, not knowing what to do. Unfortunately, the flames grew bigger very quickly. The fire alarm went off just as the the counselor noticed the flames. The school administration wanted to accuse her of committing arson, but the camera footage proved she didn't even lift a finger. She couldn't figure out how and why it happened for years.
After the fire in the counselor's office, most people in school started to treat her with distance and apathy, thinking she was a problematic girl in general. This was definitely upsetting for her, but soon she started to find fun in being unimportant to those around her. "If nothing I do is going to change their minds, then I can do anything I want!" she thought. Compared to the other kids in her school, she never worried about looking good and being cool. During class time, she would draw on her notebooks, especially entertaining herself. After school, she loved walking around to find and catch frogs and bugs, after watching the tiny animals with admiration for a while she would set them free.
When Elektra was given a letter about her being accepted to Hogwarts, both her and her mother were definitely surprised, but agreed that it was the school she was meant to attend.

Likes and Dislikes
Elektra loves all kinds of insects, especially moths. Her biggest hobbies are visiting playgrounds and rollerskating. She is terribly scared of the sound of thunder and people who kill bugs.

Additional info

Her middle name, "Jett" is actually her father's nickname. Her ancestry comes from Southern Cyprus. She's very ticklish around almost her whole body.
