Closed Second Meet at Charms CREM#2

Humming to herself, Zoë tried to make sense of a few blueprints that the Groundskeeper had given her. She had made a simple request to the man to assist her in a few lessons that needed some destructible items out near his cabin but she hadn’t exactly anticipated needing to review his little projects. Not that she even had any idea what the blueprints were trying to convey, but as she sipped her tea and hummed she enjoyed looking over Eliseo’s very very official little doodles.

In reality, she was procrastinating grading a small stack of written assignments that her fifth-years had just turned in. Already she regretted giving out so many written assignments. She loved reading what her students had to say but then she also wanted to talk to someone about what they were saying. So grading just a few essays tended to result in a couple of hours of Zoë discussing the clever thoughts of her students with Eliseo.

Placing the blueprints down on her desk, Zoë drained the remaining tea in her glass and rose to her feet. Continuing to hum and slightly dancing as music played in her head, Zoë began waving her wand about to place a smattering of books and supplies back where they belongs. The large empty class often served a secondary purpose as a private dance studio when Zoë needed to rearrange or organize things.

A sudden knock at the door of her class caused Zoë’s body to jolt with surprise as she immediately ceased her dancing and turned wide-eyed toward the door. Her surprise at the sudden foreign sound was immediately replaced by a warm smile as Zoë watched the curious head of a young familiar student poke in the doorway.

Zoë had always kept an open classroom policy for her students. Whenever she was working in the room she would ensure the door was left unlocked so that students could find a bit of peace to study or just work on things. She never minded the company and Zoë knew that many of the students enjoyed having the freedom to pop in with questions or just to relax.

“Hello love!” Zoë beamed with a short wave to the peeping student. “It’s okay, no monsters in here…for now at least. But feel free to come in. I am just reorganizing a bit. I’d offer you tea but I’m afraid someone drank it,” Zoë said with a sad shake of her head. Not wanting to intrude too much on her student, Zoë offered a final smile. “Just call out if you need anything love. These books just aren’t right,” Zoë said as her attention returned to the few bookshelves positioned near the front of the classroom. Again using her wand, Zoë began to slowly reorganize the books into a more logical arrangement as she decided against diving right into her students’ assignments.

After their first meeting in the library, Cassie gave the girls from each of the four houses a hairpin and Rita discovered that when the hairpin glows, it reveals the golden word "Charms". Yeah, it was a quite obvious message, their second meeting would be at the Charms classroom. So about 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the second meeting, the Second Year Hufflepuff walked out of the Hufflepuff common room and arrived at the Charms classroom.

When Rita arrived at the Charms classroom, she found out Cassie was already there waiting for others to come, and the Charms professor, Zoë Fresnel, also allowed them to come in and have a seat. Anyway, the Second Year Hufflepuff beater found a seat in the Charms classroom beside Cassie, and waved to the first year Ravenclaw girl with short straight yellow hair and the Charms professor with light-brown hair, "Hi, Cassie and Ms. Fresnel! Thank you for letting us sit down, Ms. Fresnel! Is everyone having a nice day? And now we are just here to wait for the other girls to arrive, right? After speaking to Cassie and Ms. Fresnel, Rita showed a friendly smile to the blonde first-year Ravenclaw girl and the Charms professor with light brown hair and waited for them to respond and for other girls to arrive.

Rita was a little surprised that Cassie asked her for notes. The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater knew by heart that she was never an organized person and so was she notes, and she often even could not find the right notebook for each subject and had to admit she brought the wrong books to class from time to time.

"Hi, Cassie! Nice to see you again as well!" The black-haired Hufflepuff first-string beater finally replied, giggling with some embarrassment, "By the way, are you sure you wanna look at my notes? I have to say I am not a very organized person and my notes are quite messy, I have to admit. Sometimes I find it hard to recognize my own writing, you know? It's quite embarrassing to be honest."

"As for second year charms, I believe we learned about general counter soell, which as the name suggests, can be used to counter most spells, so it's a quite useful spell. The wand movement incantation of it is... I am so sorry I cannot remember it, could you please remind me of that, Ms. Fresnel? I am so sorry I forget it! I will review it today! I promise!" The black-haired Hufflepuff beater then turned to the Charms Professor and asked politely with a nervous smile if the Charms professor with pretty long wavy light-brown hair could remind her of the wand movement and incantation of the general counter spell.

After thinking for a while, she suddenly remembered the incantation, "Wait, I suddenly remembers that, it's finite incantatem! I really need to review my charms! No need for reminding me, Professor!"
