Exactly two days after Ember and Griffifth's dueling match, Cash returned to the Duelling Club again. Sunday is supposed to be used to catch up on lost sleep and other things that Cash could not do during the weekdays. But they had committed to themselves that they help out the 1v1 Duelling Club to oversee today's match.

Wearing dark blue long coats, the same silver frame spectacle that Cash wore two days ago perched on their nose again. This time around, Cash wore a dark purple long sleeve and dark color comfortable training pants. Their shoulder-length hair hangs loosely around their shoulder. Dark green with gold accented shoes adorned their feet.

A little mismatched from the usual fashion-aware Cash but they want today's match to get over soon and so they did not put too much about their dress today. As long as it is comfortable and Cash could freely move in it, who were they to complain? And just like two days ago, Cash took on the little step that bring them on top of the Duelling platform.

"I do not want to talk much about it since you are all well aware this Duelling match had been rolling for the last two weeks," They said to the group of 1v1 Duelling Club members. "I hope for your and your opponent's sake, you remember how the rule goes."Cash added some more. The Prefect had been informed by Damion White who going to take their stand for today's match.

Cash then cleared their throat. "Rita Su, from the house of Hufflepuff, meet your doom,"They let out a chuckle at their own little dark joke. "And doofus- I mean Jay Divus from the house of Gryffindor, take your stand at the gate of hell,"Cash smirked mischievously. Once both of the members took each side of the piste respectfully, Cash nodded at both of them.

"You know the drill,"They spoke out. "Ready, Set, Maim!"The young Ironwoods made a slicing motion to signal the beginning of the first out of twelve rounds for today's match.

Despite being a Quidditch Player, a first-string beater, Rita was also quite passionate about dueling and was looking forward to trying her hand at casting a few dueling spells and seeing the effects of them. That was why she decided to join the 1v1 dueling club. The Second Year Hufflepuff beater was actually not very used to casting spells and hurting others under normal situations, but it was the awesome effects of the spells, such as the fire, the wand, the levitation, and things like that, that drew the black-haired Hufflepuff first-string beater to the art of dueling. Besides that, dueling was also a great opportunity and a fun way to practice those spells the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff learned in the charms class and other classes. Anyway, needless to say, Rita was looking forward to her first 1v1 dueling match since the day she joined the dueling club.

Now, it was finally time for Rita to officially try her hand at dueling. Well, it was actually not a official dueling match, but the format of the match was quite similar to the official match, the only difference was there was no dueling partners. Instead, Rita was facing just one opponent by herself, and in this particular duel, it was Jay Divus, a First Year Gryffindor boy the black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater was not very familiar with. And the moderator of this duel was the snake prefect, Cash Ironwoods. "Honestly, I have no idea how this duel will turn out to be. Anyway, wish me good luck, I believe this is going to turn out well. You can do this, Rita, just believe in yourself." Rita thought when she hold out her wand and prepared for the dueling match to start.

Jay was already starting to second-guess his decision to join the club when he watched the other pair-ups. So why is it when he was paired up with a girl a year older then him, he felt no fear? Of course, this was soon to be taken away from him. As a first year, he didn’t know many spells that would be considered good in duels. But, you can always wing it to try and win. He just hoped this wouldn’t be a full blow out. Jay didn’t really need to make a total fool out of himself just yet.

Stepping into the area, the young first year takes a breath in. Hearing the word doofus to describe himself, he gave a good natured chuckle, rolling his dull brown eyes. He knew that it was just light teasing of a younger kid, and he didn’t care much. As long as it was good intentioned. Rita Su, the girl that was standing across from him, seemingly quite obviously nervous. Why should she be nervous? She wasn’t dueling someone twice her size. If anything, shouldn’t she be totally confident? He shook away those thoughts. Pay attention, Jay. For once in your life.

"I start to fall, then I cave and I push you away. You could call it self-sabotage, I love to dig my own grave."

The thing about overseeing a duel is you had to have a lot of patience when dealing with either the aspire or the official Duellists. And Cash, for the better word, only had but most of the time they had none of it. But they had taken the role of the one that judges or referees the unofficial one like the real deal.

As soon as the green eyes gave out the go signal, both the aspire Duellists raised both of their wands up to their face and were ready to take a shot and try to take each other down. The first one is the little Lion cub, Jay Divus. Jay Divus had said the incantation and make the wand movement for the Dancing-Feet spell and aimed it at the second year, Hufflepuff Beater, Rita Su.

As Cash thought the spell would not hit Su since Divus is inexperienced when it comes down to Duelling and he was a first-year, Divus proved Cash wrong as his spell meet his mark. Su's feet instantly do the shuffle dance and it will be hard for her to cast her spell with her feet dancing like a madman.

Whereas other referees would give out a word of encouragement to whoever standing on both sides of the piste, Cash would not do such a thing. For them, albeit they were still in their first and second year, Cash already considered them big boys and girls. And thus, when they make mistakes or even slip and fall, they could stand on their own two feet without the need for Cash's assistance.

Besides, what's the point of Cash spoiling them? If Cash ever does that - not they plan to do it anytime soon, anyway - those little younglings will always be dependent to other people. They also will be afraid to make their own decision or own to their own mistake. But enough for the little out-of-character life lesson narrative.

It is time to get back into what's really going on on the stage. As soon as Divus had done slinging his spell, Su had no problem doing hers. Perhaps being one year older than the boy had their own benefit. But whatever it is, Cash wanted to see how Su will execute her own spell-casting ability. With a style, Rita Su had aimed the Knockback Jinx toward the younger boy, Jay Divus.

And just like what happened two days ago with Ember who shared the same fate as Su, her opponent could duck out of harm's way. Cash let out a sigh. It only just beginning and the Slytherin Beater already bored out their mind."Come on, people!"They uttered to both Divus and Su. "Look alive. Dancing-Feet Spell is nothing"They continued some more.

"You are in magical school for Merlin's sake,"They exclaimed. "It barely begins and I'm bored out of my mind already. You both still have 11 rounds to go,"Cash said. "Try to concentrate and aimed at your opponent,"They conclude as they let out a mock yawn. It was not their fault but Cash is desperate to see some Duelling action and be entertained.

Well, Rita had to admit it was not a very good start. Despite casting the Knockback Jinx excellently, unlucky to the Second Year Hufflepuff beater, the Flipendo spell had missed the target. "Oh, lucky for Jay and unlucky for me, the Gryffindor boy has evaded the spell! What`s worse, Jay successfully casted the dancing feet spell. and now my legs feel silly!" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair thought with mixed feeling when she found out the disappointing results of her very first round of this unofficial 1v1 dueling match.

"You can do this, Rita. You got your spells knowledge and wand skills. Everyone makes mistakes at some point, even those on the official team, and remember this is the first time you are actually dueling against someone. Just concentrate more on casting your spells and believe in yourself, and you will definitely make progress in the future rounds." Rita whispered to herself to cheer herself up while trying his best to overcome the nasty effect of the dancing feet spell, then the Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater tried her best to concentrate more on casting her spells. "Anyway, God wish me good luck. I`ll be fine. Looking forward to see how the next round will turn out to be, hope it will turn out to be fine." The black-haired beater even prayed to God silently to wish herself good luck in the future rounds.

And it didn't even work. He tried so hard, and his wand failed him in a time of dire need. That's great. Just wonderful. Waving a magically charged stick around was bound to not work. In theory, he was great at it. He had good grades, he understood what should be done. His mind worked that way, thank goodness. He had little time to think before the older had said her spell, and he rolls out of the way quickly. Standing back up, he starts laughing. Jay looked like he was having some fun. More physical things was easier for him.

We'll be fine, come on. He reasoned. His wand will work sooner or later. But he'll enjoy playing the game of cat and mouse. Dodging attacks and spells were quite fun. Making the other more frustrated as the duel goes on. When she gets worse, he'll get better. He runs his free hand through his puffed and messy hair, a grin on his face paired with his nervous eyes. Jay's smile looks confident, brave. A true lion. Don't give up. If you give up, you're a goner. How do you expect to do anything else if you can't win a duel with only one person against you? How do you expect to win a Quidditch game?

2 down, 10 to go and it seems both Divus and Su take Cash's word complaint to their heart. As another round rolled in, Su's feet finally stopped moving after the excessive movement of her lower limbs. Beats of sweat rolled down Su's face but it did not deter her to cast her next spell. Pointing her wand, the young Hufflepuff's beater, Rita Su flung her spell toward Jay Divus.

Su had done the correct incantation and wand movement for the Fire-Making spell and thus, the fiery jet of light emitted from the tip of her wand and fly across the stage. The spell hit Divus but not enough to set the young Lion aflame. Though Divus was not set aflame like Su intended it to happen, the Gryffindor still take some damage.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the piste, Divus also had the same mindset as Su when it came down to slinging his spell. With repeated practice in his own free time, Jay Divus had sent his own brand of Incendio to the slightly older girl, Rita Su. Perhaps being one year older than the young Lion cub had its own benefit.

Since Su had studied at this magic and prestige school a year older than Divus, she more or less remember how the incantation and wand movement for the Fire-Making spell. And when Su saw the dangerous fiery jet of light which is the Incendio, she jumped out of the way before the fire could even burn her. "Better luck next time, kid"Cash said to Divus as they tried to suppress their snicker.

Rita had to admit that dancing-feet spell was kind of nasty. Casting a spell while your feet was doing that silly dance was definitely something difficult to do and the Second Year Hufflepuff beater was glad that she at least casted the fire-making spell successfully at her opponent Jay, and although it did not actually set aflame, it definitely caused some trouble to the other Gryffindor boy. And when the other Gryffindor boy casted the same spell at the Second Year Hufflepuff as well, Rita still managed to dodge the flames despite feeling uncontrolled in her lower limbs. This round was definitely a much better round for the Second Year Hufflepuff first-string beater.

"Cannot believe I have done this while my limbs feel silly due to that dancing-feet spell! Not only managed to cast my own fire-making spell but also managed to cast Jay`s fire-making spell as well! I just wish that my good luck will continue in the next round, or I will have even better luck next round! Anyway, you can do this, Rita. Just concentrate on those spells and believe in yourself. Hopefully, this match will finish early, and you will win this match. Anyway, touch wood." Rita thought quietly as she held out her wand and tried her best to concentrate on those spells. She waited for the next round to start and hopefully, it would continue to be a good round on Rita`s side, as the Second Year Hufflepuff would continue her luck to the next round, at least that was what she hoped to happen.
