Goodbye Home, Welcome School?
This was going to be my first time and year at one of the best and finest school of magic and wizardry, Hogwarts! I feel like a wreck, though my hair had been thoroughly brushed and combed through. My stomach felt tight because this was nothing like I had ever experienced in my entire life. I kind of felt like crying because I would definitely miss my family, friends, and pets. I knew I shouldn't cry, because I would be around people. So I wouldn't cry. I turned to hug my parents and my three younger siblings. Both my father and my mother kissed the top of my head and sent me off into the train. I didn't know where I was really supposed to go, so I just copied what everyone else did: Board the train, pick a seat with friends, random people, or an empty one, and wait out the ride. I knew that if I chose some some-what friendly-looking people, then we could become friends. But it seemed as if the carts with friendly-looking people were all filled. Not much of a surprise, but still. I wanted to make some friends and soon before I had to walk and/or roam the school by herself. I took a deep breath, and plopped myself in an empty cart and closed the sliding door thing half way. I scooted over to the window because, for now, watching things fly by would be the best form of entertainment I would be able to get. Then I began to quietly sing the song My Way by Ava Max because I'd chosen a list of songs to sing to myself on the ride. I could sing easily in front of friends or maybe my siblings, but not in front of my parents or strangers. It didn't bother me though. Jeez. I thought. I hadn't even thought about how long this ride could take.
I found out I had some form of magic when one of my cats, Crow, got himself stuck in a pine tree. Then, he just kind of... floated down, in a way. He was fine in the end. As the train began to move, I waved my 'Goodbye!'s and 'See you soon!' to my siblings and parents. Once the train got out of the station, I leaned my head back and continued to sing and hum the song I had began earlier.
I got bored after a few minutes and decided to go to a fuller cart. I opened the door and slid out, keeping my head up as much as I would allow, trying to look a bit happier and friendlier.

Goodbye Home, Welcome School?
I was walking along the train with my hands in my pockets, I hadn't really spoken to anyone yet apart from that girl I bumped into on the platform. All the carriages were filled with first years making friends, much older students worrying about exams or just plain mean people. I had been sitting with a few people I recognise from the parties we go to; my name isn't that well known but we aren't completely in the dark. Loads of people know who my mother is. I got bored after a few minutes; they weren't really talking to me. I think they let me in here because they felt bad seeing me aimlessly wander the halls. They were 4th years after all.
As I was walking, I was thinking about what house I could be sorted in. The possibilities were endless, and it really could be a surprise. My parents would probably love it if I got sorted into Hufflepuff seeing as that is where they were sorted, but I simply don't know. I had hoped to meet someone as I was getting on the train but that did not happen. Friends would be crucial to life at Hogwarts, at least one or two. I've just not had much experience making them and the thought of the mickey being taken out of me scares me a little.
I finally found a cart with only two people in there. They looked like first years. "Erm, can- can I sit in here with you?" I asked, wringing my hands. The girl in thee nodded and turned her attention back to the boy. Were they siblings? Cousins maybe? Either way, I sat down and got a book out on DADA. It seems Mum packed me quite the collection. "Thanks," I mumbled. After around 7 minuets, the cart door slid open and a girl walked in, a smile on her face that radiated sunshine.
She had blonde hair with a pale complexion and blue eyes. But I could see the slight nervousness to her. I felt the same way, only I wasn't exactly trying to hide it. I scutched up a little so she could take a seat. "Hello," I greeted, placing my book down for a minute. "I'm Lucian Mornstern," hopefully she would be less dismissive than them two over there.
She looked at me and introduced herself. I smiled back and went to pick my book up again, when I thought, this could maybe my chance to assert a friend, or at least make friendly face for in the halls.
"So, erm, what- what are you? Like, were you expecting to come here?" I asked awkwardly. She let out a little huff of laughter, talking about herself. One question about blood status got me. I scoffed, "Of course not. I am Pureblood but I don't care about your blood. I am not a vampire," I joked, causing a laugh.
