BOO! PV TWIRB Closed

Today’s class was about so many things, Irina was already feeling overwhelmed with so many new information. Luckily, D.A.D.A., was her favorite subject, just wished they had picked up the assignment about jinxes, hexes and curses instead of ghosts…anyway, understanding that kind of existence is also intriguing, if not for knowing the how and why someone would choose to remain a ghost in this dimension at least in the end she would know how to avoid it to happen to herself. The fact that they would never know what comes next after this life is also desapointing, since chosts never made that decision they would never be able to answear to that particular question.

So after professor Orion handed their homework, he also arranged the work groups. Irina was happy to work with her Ravenclaw’s friends, Tai and Wynn. The first one, her partner at the PSS Club and Wynn, the first person she met before Hogwarts and after exploring the Fall Ball, one of her dearest friends. Beatrice Dupont was also on their group, she’s her quite and reserved dorm mate, despite they don’t talk that much, Irina liked her and will never forget the girl’s help on their first day after her clumsy disaster of spilled ink. The last group’s member was another Ravenclaw, Rani…Rani something, she couldn’t remember her name! Oh well, I’ll know soon enough, she thought while entering through the tall library’s doors.

Walking through the long corridor of bookshelves, Irina was looking if some of her friends and group´s members had already arrived. Was when she noticed the blonde-haired girl with her funny and original lipstick! Irina likes that colorful detail about Taisia. Turning across for the nearest tables Irina finally reached the one where her friend was waiting, already with everything ready and organized for them to start to work. That is so typical of Tai, to get everything starting, she’s the total personification of a Ravenclaw! “Hi Tai! So nice we can work together!” Irina said in a low voice to not disturb the other students, “How have you been? Don’t see you since the Quidditch game!”, then remembering something she heard some days ago, and since no one had arrived yet, she decided to ask in a more playful tone, “I heard a rumor about a boy…is that true?” She made a cheeky smile at her friend waiting for her reaction to her curiosity.

The bag on Beatrice's shoulder was heavy, as she made her way up from the Dungeons. She loved the Slytherin Common Room and Dorms, but the stairs did get annoying some times.

Beatrice was wearing a black turtleneck, black dress pants and a white cardigan. The white Converse on her feet were extremely clean to the point were they wouldn't be visible in snow. She was on her way to the library, her feet carrying her fast through the corridors.

In D.A.D.A Beatrice had been assigned to a group and with that group she now had to do a massive project on ghosts. She didn't fully remember everything they had to do but the notes in her bag were hopefully going to refresh her mind. Gladly there are more people in the group so she doesn't have to know everything.

Irina, her Dorm-Mate was in the group, Rani - Beatrice blushed slightly while thinking of her Friend - and then two other People that she didn't know and had only seen in classes. One was named Taisia and the other Wynn. Or at least that's what she remembered.

She took a look at her watch and started walking faster, the library door was already in her sight and she didn't want to be late. As she walked in, Beatrice stumbled and almost fell over her own feet. Embarrassment immediately showed on her face. She looked up, but was glad to see that no one noticed. Taisia and Irina were already sitting at one of the tables, occupied in a conversation. Beatrice carefully stepped closer and pulled a chair back.

»Hello.« She said quietly, before sitting down next to Irina. Beatrice had a small smile on her lips as she looked at the two girls. Then she started getting her notes and other stuff out. She neatly sat it up on the table, not taking up too much space before looking at her watch again.

With her textbook and notes under her left arm, and her ink and quill in her right hand, Rani hurried down the stairs. Her hair which she had put up in little pigtails was lightly dangling and a few strands fell out. Her hands were hurting. I should have brought my bag, Rani thought, surprised at her own foolishness. Oh well.

She was on her way to the library, where she and the other members of her assigned DADA group had planned to meet up. From what she heard in class, the project was quite a big assignment, about ghosts. The thing Rani was most nervous about, though, was not the assignment itself but meeting new people. Fortunately, she already knew two of them. One was Beatrice, her best friend, and the other was Taisia, a girl she sat next to during History of Magic once. The other two she didn't know. She had heard their names, but couldn't remember them.

Finally, Rani was standing in front of the tall library doors, one of which was open. Her head around the corner, she glanced inside and saw three girls sitting at a table. One of them was Beatrice. Rani smiled in herself, glad that her friend was already there. And the blonde, that must be Taisia, she thought, because she recognized the purple lipstick she was wearing.

Rani took a deep breath and walked through the door, heading straight for the table. "Hi," she said with a small wave, before clumsily dropping her books on the table and pulling back a chair next to Beatrice. She sat down and looked at her hands, they were slightly red. She then placed them on her knees and looked at the others.

»Hello.« Beatrice said quietly, before sitting down next to Irina. Beatrice had a small smile on her lips as she looked at the two girls. Taisia was nice enough to tell her about the list for their assignment. Beatrice gave her a thankfull smile before she started getting her notes and other stuff out. She neatly sat it up on the table, not taking up too much space before looking at her watch again.

A chair beside her was pulled back and she heard a familiar voice. Rani. She heard her say hi and carefully glanced at her. Her friend sat her books down, before sitting down herself.

The table of girls fell silent and Beatrice's thoughts wandered away. She watched a bird that was flying in the sky. They weren't sitting too far away from a window and from her seat, she had the perfect view onto the grounds. However watching the birds didn't last for long, she heard Taisia's voice, catching her attention.

»I agree. Wynn can just join in when he's here. So, has anyone thought about how we can do this? I already got a few books from the library and made some notes.« Beatrice bend down and grabbed the books that were still in her bag. She sat them on the table, careful to not drop them too fast. She had a copy of 'Animal Ghosts of Britain' and a few others.

»I was thinking we could split the assignment in five parts, so each of us can do an equal amount of work and then talk about it and see how we can put everything together. Does that work for you all or does anyone have a different Idea?« Beatrice smiled after her words, trying to get out of her shell and just talk, presenting what she had to say. She really hoped they would be okay with that or come up with something else.
