@Edward Edwards
Edward hopped aboard the Great Hogwarts Express, he smiled, the train reminded him of one his most favorite movies, The Polar Express. Ever since he watched that movie he had loved trains, and now he found himself boarding one. He adjusted his top hat that sat perfectly perched on top of his head.
"Sweety!" His mother called, he knew this was hard, it was hard for both them, they were always together. His mother pulled him close to her, her warmth and pungent smell of rose comforting him.
"I love you, and I'm always proud of you my dear sun-child, Remember this," she smiled connecting her glass silver eyes with his dark curious ones. "Promise?"
"I love you and am proud of you too Mother, promise," he said smiling taking her pinky into his. "I'll owl you!"
"Of course," mother smiled wiping a tear, with one last hug he stood behind the closing doors of the Hogwarts Express, standing with his suitcase and umbrella.
"Farewell Ava! Farewell Ben! Farewell Mother! Too all a good day!" He smiled waving with his hand far above his head, as the the train started to move the image of his mother, little sister, and big brother becoming smaller with the distance.
"First things first Mr. Montgomery, we must find a compartment," he said being wisped into another world of his choosing.
"Of course sir," the imaginary man said taking his luggage as they walked in the corridors filled with students.
"Stay close Montgomery! We don't know who to trust!" Edward said pushing through the crowd, he made his way to a compartment opening the door finding it vacant. "Quickly Montgomery I found a suitable compartment!"
Edward got all comfortable in his seat, holding his umbrella like a cane, Montgomery came with his suitcase, putting it under the seat her sat awaiting there journey.
"Detective Hemms, are you sure that our suspect lies in this school?" He said questioningly stroking his pepper and white mustache. Even though he was an older man he was strikingly handsome.
"Of course Montgomery, it isn't like me too go on a wild goose chase is it Monty?" Edward smiled smartly at Montgomery. "He's left us all the clues and evidence we need, though granted not much to lead off of we must not risk the opportunity. You must trust me with this Montgomery."
Montgomery disappeared into thin air, Edward being pulled away from his fantasy world by the sound of the compartment door opening...

»Alright Beatrice, take care, okay? And make some friends. And if you aren't sorted into Slytherin just owl us, I'm sure we can figure something out. And do well, okay?« Beatrice's mother overwhelmed her with words as she was squeezing the girl to her chest.
Her Father just stood beside them and her siblings weren't allowed to come. Not for any particular reason, just because her Parents didn't allow them to come.
The train blew it's last warning whistling sound, which was her sign to get on. She got up and her father pushed the luggage after her. She got to the next best window, looking out at all the People.
Beatrice waved at her Parents as the train started moving. She didn't dare to shed a tear. People were pushing past her and she decided that it was time to look for a place to sit.
Beatrice carried herself with confidence, although she didn't feel confident at all. There weren't any free compartments and she didn't want to sit with some older kids or in a full cabin.
She had almost given up her search when she saw a compartment with only a boy sitting in it. He looked like he was talking to someone but that couldn't possibly be right, unless he was talking to the air. There was no one other than him.
Her heart felt like it was beating in her throat as she carefully pulled open the compartment door. He stared at her as she stood in the entrance and she stared back.
After a couple of seconds she cleared her throat and pushed back a piece of her hair before attempting to talk.
»May I sit with you?« she talked in her most polite voice and a peek of 'I don't actually want to talk to you' slipped through her words. She didn't mean to sound like that but somehow she ends up sounding like this a lot.
He looked like a first year, like Beatrice. The plain black robes were in the trunk beside her, for now she was wearing a black skirt, a white turtleneck, black doc martens and a dark green coat. Her hair was up in a ponytail and little tiny hearts were on her tights.
She waited for the boy to answer, slightly rocking back and forth. When she realized what she was doing, she immediately stopped and put her focus back on the boy in front of her.@Edward Edwards

Montgomery disappeared into thin air, Edward being pulled away from his fantasy world by the sound of the compartment door opening... There stood a girl of perfect posture, her brunette hair hung long up in a ponytail. She wore an intriguing green coat and doc martins, he knew because he had to wear them for an entire year to correct his feet... It wasn't pleasant. He hadn't realized but he had sat there for a while observing her he was pulled out of his thoughts when she cleared her throat, pushing back a stray hair.
"May I sit with you?" She said rudely polite.
Edward had come up with the term rudely polite as it meant when you were polite out of force and very much wanted to be rude. He looked her up and down with his large curious eyes, squinting wondering if he should or not. He looked at the space Montgomery once again sat, he looked back at the girl.
"Of course, as long as you don't get in the way of our business," He said properly tucking a small piece of paper into his coat pocket. "And please, mind Mr. Montgomery..."
He said gesturing to the place across from him that sat close by the window.
"So... If you don't mind my poking around, what business do you have with Hogwarts?"
He hoped that he could learn more about the school, he was determined in catching his culprit...

The boy looked her up and down, squinting his eyes. Beatrice almost mirrored him, she had a habit of doing that with some people. Not with all, but some just triggered it in her. He looked at the seat across from him and back at her. Is he not going to let me sit? Where am I supposed to go then?
"Of course, as long as you don't get in the way of our business," he said while tucking something in his coat.
»Our-?« Beatrice started her sentence but was interrupted by the boy.
"And please, mind Mr. Montgomery..." The boy gestured to the seat across from him where he had looked at just a few seconds ago. The seat he was pointing at was the one closest to the window.
She wasn't sure if she should really sit with someone that talked about People that weren't there. She weighed her options - either sitting in the "hall" or sitting on a seat in a comfortable compartment where she wouldn't have to constantly get up to let people through.
Beatrice decided that it was only a train ride and there couldn't come much harm from sitting with this boy. He seemed nice.. enough.
She pushed her trunk in, putting it where the luggage was supposed to be, above her seat. She sat down close to the door, trying to get a little comfortable while taking off her coat and hanging it up.
When she was sitting the boy started to talk again.
"So... If you don't mind my poking around, what business do you have with Hogwarts?" He asked, explicitly putting a different tone on 'Hogwarts'. Beatrice furrowed her eyebrows and was unsure if it was really the right choice to sit with this boy.
»Uh, I'm attending as a first year student,« She told him, »What's your name? I'm Beatrice Dupont.« Beatrice wanted to know this boys name, he seemed... Interesting? Somehow? »Are you a first year as well?« She asked, already pretty sure of his answer.
She looked out the window, awaiting his answer and pressing her Fingernails into her knees, a habit that was extremely annoying for her mother and always left unnecessary red Marks in her skin.@ Edward Edwards

She looked confused.
"Our?-"
"-And please, mind Mr. Montgomery..."
He said gesturing to the place across from him that sat close by the window. She looked perplexed as she stood a bit obviously pondering, before she sat down shoving her trunk beneath the seat.
"So... If you don't mind my poking around, what business do you have with Hogwarts?"
He hoped that he could learn more about the school, he was determined in catching his culprit... But it wasn't going to be easy she looked very annoyed.
"Uh, I'm attending as a first year student," She spoke up. "What's your name? I'm Beatrice Dupont. Are you a first year as well?"
She looked knowing of his answer as she looked out the window digging her fingernails into her knees, Ouch! Surprisingly she gave more than enough information.
"Nice too meet you Miss Dupont, my name is Edward Edwards," he said professionally. "Yes, I am a first year... Can you tell me more about Hogwarts? If you will... I need to know for our work, Monty and me."
Edward never really broke character, it wasn't like he had too anyway, his Mother never seemed bother... But yet again he never really got to talk with anyone else.
"My name is Edward Ed- Oh! Sorry I said that already," he cleared his throat. "I've heard that there are houses in Hogwarts... Which do you hope for?"
Suddenly his curiosity got the best of him, he couldn't help it as he looked at her with his large, dark, starry yet curious eyes.
"Are there dragons and unicorns at Hogwarts? Is there huge sea monsters like Nessie? Wait! Is Nessie real? Nevermind, Are there magical foods that can fly? Can inanimate objects talk? Can-Can-" He realized he broke character, Montgomery disappeared. "CRAB SICKLES! I broke character!" He frowned before looking at Beatrice once more, he smiled revealing his oddly charming smile which revealed the gap between his two large front teeth. "What's your favorite movie?"

"Nice too meet you Miss Dupont, my name is Edward Edwards," Edward said with professional sounding voice. "Yes, I am a first year... Can you tell me more about Hogwarts? If you will... I need to know for our work, Monty and me." Beatrice looked back at the boy. Who is Monty? The Question lingered on her lips but she didn't dare to ask.
»Sure Edward. What would you like to know?« She asked, a polite smile forming on her lips.
"My name is Edward Ed- Oh! Sorry I said that already," Edward said and cleared his throat. "I've heard that there are houses in Hogwarts... Which do you hope for?" Is he a muggle born? Her Parents had told her to not Talk to Muggle borns, but.. he seemed.. nice? But what person doesn't know anything about Hogwarts?
»Well, uhm, there is Slytherin, which my parents say is the best house, then there's Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. I guess you also want to know what the houses stand for, so I'll just tell you the most basic trait.« Beatrice wasn't in the mood to tell him all about each house.
»One trait you would probably need to have is Bravery if you wanted to get into Gryffindor for example. Intelligence for Ravenclaw, Empathy for Hufflepuff and lastly, Ambition for Slytherin. Of course those aren't the only traits for the houses and you don't necessarily need to embrace them full on to be sorted into a house, you just need to have them within you. The sorting hat will know what house you fit in.« Beatrice finished what she wanted to say about the houses and looked back out of the window. Was that enough? Hopefully.
He looked at her with curiosity. She could see it from the corner of her eye.
"Are there dragons and unicorns at Hogwarts? Is there huge sea monsters like Nessie? Wait! Is Nessie real? Nevermind, Are there magical foods that can fly? Can inanimate objects talk? Can-Can-" Edward suddenly overwhelmed her with Questions and she directed her gaze back at him. She wanted to answer after swallowing down her laugh but he started talking, or more like shouting a little, again.
"CRAB SICKLES! I broke character!" He frowned before looking at Beatrice again. Beatrice raised her eyebrows at his outburst.
»Uhm, there are no Dragons or Unicorns specifically at Hogwarts but they do exist in the wizarding world. We don't have sea monsters, at least not the kind you're most likely thinking of, also what is a Nessie? Food doesn't fly unless you hex it to do so and Paintings for example do talk.« Beatrice told him all that, sitting calmly in her seat. For some reason she wasn't too weirded out by him. He seemed sorta sweet. Like a sweet child.
Edward smiled revealing his kind of oddly charming smile which also lead to reveale the gap between his front teeth. Beatrice couldn't help but smile back at him.
"What's your favorite movie?" He asked. Beatrice raised her eyebrows again, looking unsure of the answer.Does he mean Books?
»Uhm, well I have several favorite books if you mean that. What exactly is a movie? Do you mean like a film on one of those muggle cameras that you can take several pictures with?« Beatrice looked at Edward, curious to hear his answer. She hadn't noticed but she had realaxed a lot since talking to him.@ Edward Edwards

"Cool! Is would like to make friends with one of these paintings! Nessie is a sea monster, or a Water-horse, they have long necks and fins! They live the the great loch lake of Scotland! Some people believe that it's real while others a folk-tale."
He smiled revealing his oddly charming smile which revealed the gap between his two large front teeth, Beatrice smiled back. "What's your favorite movie?"
She looked unsure and raised her eyebrows.
"Uhm, well I have several favorite books if you mean that. What exactly is a movie? Do you mean like a film on one of those muggle cameras that you can take several pictures with?"
He opened his mouth dramatically in shock gasping, he lit up at a chance to teach someone about cinema.
"You don't know what amovie is? And what is a muggle? Back to the point! A movie is a series of pictures put together to create one piece! It's pretty much just like a visual book! They can have multiple twists, and you feel a lot of emotion. You must watch a movie, it is a necessity! Sometimes they take books and turn them into movies! I should take you too see one one day."
He couldn't help but smile at his favorite topic. He got up to stand,
He changed his voice to fit the different characters in the scene. He moved around to pretend to be the different characters in different places. After his dramatic reenactment, Edward proceeded to sit closer to the compartment door, he placed his ear against the walls to hear the sounds brewing from all around. He closed his eyes to absorb it, he could hear the quiet rumble of the steel wheels of the train against the tracks, the train made a quiet, hypnotizing chugging as it went along. Above that he heard the chattering and laughing of people of all age, every once in a while a groan or cheer as a squeaky wheeled candy cart made it's way to each compartment, accompanied with clicking heels and a soft would you like some candy? To be honest, Edward wanted nothing more than to eat pounds of candy, his mother warned him that he would get a cavity or worse all his teeth would rot out. She would make sure that he had very little sugar, and maybe that's why he had adored the little old woman so much. Her name was Mrs. Seuss, she was Edward's tutor for a long time, his throat stung as he remembered her pungent smell of incense and soap. She had short stringy-white hair, soft dark eyes, and a wrinkly chocolate hands. She had always been kind to Edward, and also it had been Edward's first and only friend. If Edward had behaved or done good she would reward him with a small butterscotch candy wrapped in clear yellow wrapping. »Thank you for the explanation, A movie does sound nice. Where do you watch these? And what is your favorite?« She said. »Also, A muggle is basically a not magical human. You know? The people that don't live in the wizarding world and don't have any magical blood in them? There are even different blood types, a lot actually, I'm a Pureblood for example.« Beatrice informed the boy about blood status, not sure if he understood what she meant.
Edward sat down, closer to the compartment door this time. He laid his head against the wall to and closed his eyes. Beatrice took that as an Answer and looked back out the window.
She pulled her legs up, shifting in her seat so she could hug her legs. Her back was now leaning against the wall next to the compartment door as her eyes watched as the landscapes passed outside the window and her head gently laid against the wall behind her.
Beatrice didn't exactly know when it happened but at some point the trees passing by basically hypnotized her. She closed her eyes, still seeing the landscape behind her eyelids. At some point she fell into a light sleep, pictures of the outside painting themselves in her imagination.
She woke up when it was time to change into her plain black robes and soon after it was time to get off the train.@Edward EdwardsBeatrice Leaves Thread

Edward was so busy he hadn't even heard Beatrice's response, she heard the girl shift across from him, she hugged her knees to her chest and gazed out the window, Edward opened his eyes and looked out the window as well, if he had known how wonderful trains were he would have gotten on one sooner, not like he had the option before though. He thought it amazing how it felt like mere minutes ago they were in the city of london with millions of people, and now there were only trees and open plains. It had been hours, Edward realised who knew how much time flied when you were having fun. The stars sparkled as the moon smiled slyly, he smiled back with his odd smile. And then in the distance he saw a grand stone castle, surrounded by endless mountains and a great lake. Excitement ran through Edward's veins as he watched from afar. Hogwarts. His mother hadn't mentioned hogwarts or any of the time she had spent there until he had gotten the letter in the mail. Edward tried to imagine the 11 year old version of his mother sitting whilst looking out the window to look at Hogwarts, just like him. It comforted him to think of this, like a warm blanket of protection. The chugging of the train started to slow until it came to an utter stop, only then did he realise that Beatrice had fallen asleep, she woke up on que, she pulled on her plain black robes, as did Edward.
