Regina was, decidedly, not having a good day.

She hadn't been in the healthiest mental state since returning to Hogwarts after spring break. Her friendship with Kim had gone a bit stale and awkward because of their parents, she wasn't talking to Faye because of what happened at the Blossom Ball, and to top it all off, she'd apparently developed and incredibly harmful eating habits - she'd either only pile enough on her plate for ten bites during meals in the Great Hall or she'd skip them entirely with the inability stomach anything. It would seem being constantly locked up in your room with scarce food as a punishment since you were little would leave severe consequences during later years. As a consequence, Regina wasn't currently doing well at the moment even though she pretended nothing was amiss - she'd learnt to be too good of an actress over the years.

She'd barely make it out of Charms class without fainting due to mental exhaustion. Her academic performance had taken a strong decrease in efficiency and the Gryffindor prayed to Merlin she'd be able to keep her grades up lest she'd suffer another angry reprimanding from her father. She was so focused on squeezing through the crowd to get out of the classroom as quick as possible that she failed to notice a flying ever-bashing boomerang in the air and heading her way, no doubt another juvenile mischief caused by some brazen student. Regina was one foot out the door when the offending object hit her on the back of the head, making her stumble with a hitched gasp and her entire vision spin wildly. She felt the world tumble around her as she fell forward against a stranger who was standing conveniently right outside the hall of Charms.

Apparently, whoever created Wyatt’s schedule was a sadist. This part was especially rough, as it gave Wyatt only the passing time allotted to go from his defense against the dark arts class on the first floor to transfiguration on the fifth. That time surely did not account for the moving stairs, even though, at this point, Hogwarts should have recognized those as a safety hazard. At the very least, the school could’ve called them a problem, but no, they have to leave the stairs because history.

Let’s face it, this castle was constructed in a wildly bizarre fashion. Yes, one might argue that a wizard school should be a little nature-defiant, but at a certain point, it becomes too much. The shifting stairs of great inconvenience, as Wyatt liked to call them, were things that the castle could have done without. The castle would still have the same amount of whimsical wizarding charm after the demolition, why not give it a try? Wyatt could not be the only one this passionate about his hatred for the things.

Suddenly, however, his strange internal tangent came to a sharp halt. The culprit? Some girl crashing into him like she was shot with a tranquilizer dart in the middle of a crowded hallway. Though there wasn’t a dumber thing he could’ve uttered in that moment, all that Wyatt had to say was “oh?” He stood there stunned for a couple of seconds, but he was able to drag her through the crowd. Luckily, the number of people in the halls seemed to decrease as time went on.

Wyatt managed to sit her down against a nearby wall. While broom racing training was giving him a little more muscle than what could be found on his usual stick-man-like figure, he still wasn’t that strong, so he certainly noted that it was relatively easy to drag the girl. It worried him, but he heard something wooden hit the ground after the girl fell into his arms, so he didn’t think she fainted on her own. Hopefully, she was just naturally smaller. He scanned the floor for any objects.

Gryffindor red lined her uniform, and Wyatt only just noticed. He wondered how, the color being so bold, and all. He wasn’t sure what to say. It wasn’t like the girl was passed out, and she was breathing fine. Wyatt genuinely contemplated walking away, entirely ill-equipped with how to handle other people’s head injuries. But he could bring her to the hospital wing.

“Hi, are you… awake?” Wyatt asked, skipping the are you okay question, since that one seemed a little too obvious. Wyatt did not know how to do any of this. Hell, he wasn’t even sure if this girl deserved whatever hit to the head she got. But if she was bleeding or unconscious, Wyatt didn’t know if he would feel forever guilty about not taking her to the hospital wing, and guilt was something that he recently discovered he despised with a burning hatred. Hospital wing it is, then?
