Adhd stories, here I go.
This might become like a little diary so I hope y'all don't mind story times.
So first, I go to bed at around 9:30 -10 pm since I have trouble sleeping. My mom sees that if I go to bed earlier, I'll get better sleep. Basically, I toss and turn in my bed until about 1 in the morning where I fall into a restless sleep.
Into the morning, my alarm goes off at 7:25 AM. This is earlier than my sister who doesn't have ADHD. I need to wake up earlier because I can never fully wake up in the morning. I'm in what people call a "twilight zone" meaning getting ready for school is difficult and takes longer. I follow a very specific schedule. I eat the same thing every morning... and if I get thrown off my schedule things can get hectic. I go to the bus and the kids at my bus stop are very crazy, but so am I. I take medicine for my ADHD, but in the mornings it hasn't kicked in yet. I'm climbing trees and waiting for the bus with my friends.
Another fun thing with ADHD- trouble controlling emotions. There is a jerk at my bus stop who everyone is afraid of but me, and he ALWAYS gets a reaction out of me. We'll spend 30 minutes in a non-stop heated argument about how he can't just shove people around. The other day he punched my friend in the face and I actually was so close to fighting him, so. Shout out to my very stable friends who had to grab my arms until I calmed down.
In class, I can't focus on anything and it stresses me out because my attention is on and off, and I'll start worrying if I'll ever get my work done. During track weeks in gym, I'm pretty confident since I know it's something I'm good at.
When I get home, I get hyperfocused on homework usually and end up having to help my friends with theirs. My mom makes the mistake of giving me multiple instructions at once, and I always forget a step.
So there you have it, that's a sort-of summary of my day, but I'll probably have more specific stories.

thank you juni for sharing your story. i can identify a lot with some of the struggles you mention--i've been told i have a lot of problems controlling my emotions and focusing on school work
i also misplace a lot of my belongings to the point of losing them, and i have a very short-term memory. also multitasking is my worst enemy, i literally can't do smth else when i'm hyperfocused on one single task

@Juniper Kelly
I relate to quite a lot of struggles you have mentioned. I would love to hear more of them whenever you feel like sharing. Maybe you could feedback to your mom about how you feel. and omg, time in early mornings seems to fly like 5x faster i swear, im always panicking at how fast it goes. ironically enough, when you're tired, adhd gets worse, making it harder to sleep. i relate to difficulty falling asleep a lot.
According to some research - and experience ofc. The 'pros' of adhd are...
how do you guys relate with ^ i'd like to hear.
I def have and am looking forwards to sharing more, about esp about my struggles, but will start off with this first ^.^

the thing is, people assume you're just annoying or a bad kid. But it's like- you can't really control it, you know? But yeah, there are some pros. Honestly, the "pros" such as creativity and Spontaneity are very obvious in me. Conversational Skills.... not so much.
