Emma was a little tired. Not because she had stayed up late (although she had stayed up a little later than normal). But it was the weekend so that was fine, she just slept in a bit. The reason she was so tired was that the international students had arrived the day before and she had gone to meet at least one group. It felt like the right thing to do and she had to admit she was interested in learning more about the different magical schools as she didn’t even know that was a thing. Although it did make sense. After all, not all the magical population could attend one school. That would be much too many students crammed into a small space. Chaos (more so than usual) would definitely ensue. But because of their arrival, there had been more chaos and interaction than Emma was used to so she was feeling a little tired from the whole thing. She could handle one on one easily enough but larger crowds meant that she typically felt drained.

That was why she had come out to wonder the grounds. She figured she could wonder aimlessly and only interacted with a few people at once rather than the crowds that might gather inside the castle. The sun was shining brightly, and the temperature was warm. Spring had truly arrived and Emma was so glad it had. She debated swinging by the Greenhouses to see if she could catch a glimpse of the plants growing inside but thought she’d likely get in trouble or something. So instead she decided to observe the new growth around the grounds.

A large smile on her face, Emma strolled towards a pair of trees, some color visible near their trunks and the bright green of new leaves growing on the branches. Starting to hum a song, it took Emma only a moment to realize that she had been humming I’ll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan. That was one of her favorite Disney songs and looking around, she decided it was safe enough to sing quietly. ” Let's get down to business To defeat the Huns Did they send me daughters When I asked for sons?” Emma moved emphatically with the words, enjoying the day and feeling better already.
