During the morning of June 16th, a large barn owl arrived and swooped into the Great Hall during the bustle of breakfast at Hogwarts. The owl carried a rather large package with it. It was carefully wrapped in brown paper packaging, with a thin piece of string tied securely around the box and tied into a bow, and wild flowers tucked carefully underneath the string.
A letter was also attached to the package, addressed to a certain third year Gryffindor boy; Ruka Burnett-Tân. The letter was conducted with feminine handwriting, on a floral stationary that happened to smell like strawberries.
Letter Text:ReducioJune 15th, 2021Dearest Ruka,
My name is Saoirse Harper. I am Winnie’s mother. I just wanted to write you a letter to thank you. According to Winnie, you saved her life this past May. I cannot even begin to thank you for saving my daughter. She means more to me than anything in this world. I know the past year has been very difficult for her, and I am glad to see she is finally making friends.
I hope you don’t mind, but I asked Winnie to tell me a bit about you because I wanted to give you something to show how thankful I am. I always enjoy giving handmade gifts and purchased gifts. I find it’s a nice mixture. I hope you do not already have this fire fan.
Please know that you are always welcome in the Harper household. We may live on a farm, but we do have a nice guest house that accommodates four people, it is located by a lake that is fit to swim in. Winnie also tells me that you love animals, and we do not have a lack of them on our farm. If you (and/or your family) would ever like a place to stay in Ireland, my door is always open.

If Ruka were to open the accompanying package, he would discover a hand embroidered pillow case with a stitching pattern that created a whimsical image of a fox among greenery and mushrooms. Most interestingly was perhaps the two large metal fire fans with riveted wicks that had been created in the shape of a star. Measuring 23.5 inches wide by 16 inches high, the large fans tapered into a manipulation ring that the fire dancer could easily grip ahold of.

Thank you for your kind letter and the gifts. It really was not necessary at all! I’m glad Winnie feels that I’ve been kind to her, but I haven’t done much. I wouldn’t want you to give me too much credit!
Still, I really appreciate you reaching out, as well as your invitation. I believe my family’s summer plans may be quite full already, but I’m sure something can be arranged at some point. I would really like to see the farm, and the animals!
At the risk of overstepping; Winnie has told me about her father and I wanted to send my condolences. She seems to love you very much. I’m certain that is enough to get you both through any difficult times.

My goodness, you are a polite young man. I can see why my Winnie speaks of you so fondly. People who do good deeds never believe they are deserving of thanks, but you are. You are deserving of it even simply by keeping my daughter company. She was over sheltered and I am partly to blame, so I know it's been difficult for her to make friends.
Regardless of if your summer's schedule is full, my invitation stands. I do not mind the time of year. Even during winter is fine! The lake is often solid enough to skate on, so if you enjoy skating that could be a treat. I am also happy to hear you enjoyed the gifts.
You are not overstepping any boundaries and I appreciate the thought, dear. I am glad to know that Winnie has someone close by to help her during this time. It is difficult for me not to be there.
