Great Maze - 2 Birds & a Badger
Erin entered the maze with mixed emotions. The maze's hedges towered menacingly above her head, and the wisp of a girl eyed them with distrust. Returning her attention to the three paths before her, the girl's pale green gaze pierced the depths of each opening with a fierce intensity. Perhaps if Erin stared daggers at the gaps long enough, they would reveal their secrets to her. It was a silly notion, especially for her, and so she immediately dismissed that train of thought.
Instead, Erin turned her attention to her two goat hunting companions. She knew nothing about the two Ravenclaws except their names, Midas Jones and Phedra Stavrou. It was highly probable that the majority of other teams were comprised of students who were at least acquainted with each other. Erin, the reserved and study oriented Hufflepuff, hadn't made very many acquaintances, and zero friends, at that time and had been forced to seek complete and total strangers to qualify for the maze event. Why hadn't Erin just ignored the event, given her reserved nature? Well, put simply, the game seemed fun. I mean, who wouldn't want to traverse a magical maze in search of a goat?
"I say we head northwest, maybe try for a more straightforward approach," Erin suggested casually, her piercing gaze shifting to sweep over the aforementioned path.

Great Maze - 2 Birds & a Badger
As the group walked into the maze, Midas stayed behind the two others. The hedges seemed to laugh at him as he walked past them. It was almost as if they trapped him in - waiting for him to mess up. He shook the idea out of his mind. This event was perfectly safe - right? As he was walking, he quietly observed his teammates. Both of them were girls, and he believed one of them was a fellow Ravenclaw. He had been teamed up with them as he wanted to sign up for the event, but sign ups closed in a day. He had just been grouped with a team that had a spot open and would accept him.
Turning his attention away from his teammates, he saw that there were 3 paths. One of them went to the left, one of them went to the right, and the last one went to the front-ish left-ish.
"We are looking for a goat right..." he said in his mind "A goat would rush toward the center of the maze right?". As he was about to say his idea, one of his teammates - a Hufflepuff, from the color of her robes - spoke. "I say we head northwest, maybe try for a more straightforward approach." In his mind, Midas was filled with relief. He probably couldn't have communicated the idea anyway. So all that came out was "I-I think t-that's a good i-idea."

Great Maze - 2 Birds & a Badger
Phedra entered the maze, its green hedges towering many feet above her. The great maze was probably her favorite Blossomfest event out of them all, besides the Ballroom dancing lessons of course. The maze wasn't very spacious and the walls felt as if they were closing in with every step, but Phedra couldn't help but grin excitedly. Another adventure for the record books.
The two students she was paired with were mere acquaintances. All of Phedra's other friends were already paired up with each other, so she decided to hop in with this group. One a fellow Ravenclaw on the Quidditch team, and the other a Hufflepuff. Not too shabby. Two Ravenclaws would be twice the brain for figuring out any puzzles along the way.
"Northwest? I'm fine with that. It makes the most sense, if we're trying to find the center, after all." Phedra took her place behind Erin Blackwood, her wand out and ready. She didn't think there would be any obstacles so early in the maze, but better to be safe than sorry.

Great Maze - 2 Birds & a Badger
One step after another, your team is heading northwest in the maze. Taking in the green hedges and breezy wind, the hedges seem to begin to bloom more and more with flowers and buds. The hedges become prettier the further you venture towards the northwest path of the maze. Strange. Perhaps it is the right way to go as increased growth is happening towards the direction. As you walk further and further down the path, you realize that not only are there more flowers, but there are many more bumblebees. Luckily, they were cast not to attack and only be idle among their flowers. You keep going, past the bumblebees and towards what finally seemed like a dead end of the maze. Oh no! Your team turns around and you now walk past the flowers and bumblebees and decide on a new path.
You must choose East or West from the entrance now. Teams cannot split up.
