Ivy thought it was high time that she made peace with Lizzie Verdine. She wasn't going to deny it - she was jealous of the Ravenclaw for being with Zyk - and there was also the whole "stalking" incident in January... but seeing as they were in the same tent, it would be far too awkward not to be on good terms. She didn't expect them to turn out as best friends or anything, because with their complicated history, that really wasn't possible, but it would be nice if they could at least talk to each other easily.

So when she saw her tentmate sitting on a bench in the distance, Ivy only hesitated for a few seconds before approaching her and sitting down next to her. "Hi, Lizzie," she greeted her politely. "It's a lovely morning, isn't it?" It was a lovely morning. It wasn't quite midday yet, so the heat was still bearable, and the skies were so brilliantly blue and cloudless. "Did you get any sleep last night? The beds are comfortable, but after spending a year at Hogwarts, they can feel so strange."

Ivy was even boring herself. Small talk was so... annoying and unnecessary, and she was a little afraid that Lizzie would get up and leave before she managed to get to her point. "Ok. I'm terrible at small talk," Ivy admitted, after a slight pause. "The thing is, I want to clear everything up and make amends with you - about the whole library thing in January too. Are you still mad about that? I might have been a little quick to judge you."

Lizzie had always wondered why people had opinions on her before they even met. Maybe it was because she just had that look on her face that made everyone either hate or love her. There was defiantly no in between. No neutral. There was only two sides to her and it was best to get on her good side rather than the darker one.

As she was sat down on the bench, Lizzie pondered why she had woken up so early. She had wanted to sleep in but something in her stomach made her get up. It was that or she had been extremely hungry and did not want to wake up her other tent mates from all of the growling.

When she heard person sit down next to her, she turned her head to look towards them. There sat Ivy Bellamy. The girl that had slightly [not completely] humiliated her. "Hello, Ivy." She looked back out to the view she had been admiring before, "Yes, it is a nice morning."

The weather was not what had made it 'nice'. More that Ivy had approached her calmly and had not suddenly lashed out at the sight of the 'stalker'. "Small Talk is not what we need right now." Lizzie brought a hand up to her mouth and laughed slightly.

Lizzie then became serious again as she heard the mention of the situation where they had both first met, "Well, I am no longer mad. It was just something that obviously had not made a good impression on you and I'm sorry about that."

She sighed and then turned back towards the dark-haired girl, "I guess it wasn't the best time to pour out someone's life story but I swear it was all a guess. I can just sometimes tell what people are like when I first meet them."

Lizzie then grinned and nodded her head quickly, "Yes. You were quite quick to judge. But I forgive you for that. If I were you, I would have thought the same thing as well." She then played at the hem of the plaid shirt, "As long as we never speak of it again. I am fine with at least having a positive relationship with you."

As she sat down next to her tentmate, Ivy glanced sideways at Lizzie, grey eyes scrutinizing as she tried to figure out what the blonde thought of her. She wasn't going to deny it; the circumstances they had met under were less than ideal. Ivy had accused the Ravenclaw of being a stalker the first time they met, which, admittedly, was rather unfair of her, and an argument had broken out in the middle of the library.

She didn't blame Lizzie if she held any grudges towards her, although it was hard to tell if she did as they hadn't had a proper conversation yet - Ivy had watched Lizzie and Zyk from afar plenty of times, and they had met again in the tent last night, but other than that, there had been no contact between them since that incident in January.

The Gryffindor relaxed slightly as the other girl laughed daintily, putting a hand to her lips casually - although with the ease of posture came a stab of jealousy. Lizzie was funny and sweet and pretty and... perfect. No wonder Zyk liked her. "I'm fine with not speaking of it," she replied. "Actually, let's pretend it never happened. Let's start over, completely." With a grin, Ivy got up from where she sitting and stood in front of the Ravenclaw. "When I spin around, I don't know who you are and you don't know who I am. The thing in the library never happened. Ok?" She let out a short, breathless laugh, unable to hide her amusement, before spinning around quickly on the spot.

Feigning a look of confusion, Ivy approached Lizzie, her hand outstretched. "G'day, m-" she started in a strange accent that had come out of nowhere, before dropping it and shaking her head with an embarrassed laugh. Ok, no, I should not talk like that. The girl cleared her throat and grinned at Lizzie. "Hello there! Lovely morning, isn't it? I haven't seen you around Hogwarts. I'm Ivy. Bellamy, if you must. And you are...?"

Lizzie sighed and smiled at the girl in front of her. If the thing in January had never happened maybe they could have been good friends sooner. Except, the whole situation and happened causing a lot of drama between the two girls that did not need to have happened. It had made their whole relationship a lot more complicated.

The girl did not like to hold grudges but found it quite hard to let go of the one she had been holding onto for months. Being called a stalker had really taken its toll on Lizzie. The thought of something thinking she would literally dig into someone's background and poke around in their private life was very hard to wrap around her head. How on earth was being perspective being a stalker?

She grinned more as Ivy agreed to never speak of it again. It was such a relief to know they could save a relationship that could be very good use in the future. "That sounds like a good plan." Lizzie nodded her head and pushed some hair out of her face. It would be nice to start over completely. Honestly, Lizzie thought it would be a blessing to start life over from the beginning. Where everything was simple and calm.

As Ivy stood up, Lizzie turned away from her as if they were starting the conversation all over again. She heard the words that shortly were stopped. It sounded like Ivy was trying to be very formal like some old woman that looked more like a shriveled up grape than a human.

Lizzie stretched her hand out and took the Gyrffindor's. "Yes. It is quite a nice morning." She laughed under her breath. They literally had already said that but it wouldn't be a new beginning if they pretended to have already spoken. "Nice to meet you Ivy. I'm Lizzie Verdine." The girl smiled widely while patting the seat beside her.

It is impossible to describe the relief that ran through Ivy when Lizzie played along. In the proud Gryffindor's mind, it would have been dreadfully humiliating if the blonde had decided to leave her hanging. She shook Lizzie's hand, unable to stop herself from laughing, and sat down when she patted the spot next to her. "So, Lizzie, let's get to know each other better," said Ivy, grinning widely at her. She was playing the part of a friendly, charming person at the moment - something she usually wasn't. Honestly, it was a miracle she had any friends at all... "I have a feeling we could be good friends if we wanted to be."

And Ivy truly did want to be friends with Lizzie. She could only hope that Lizzie wanted to be her friend as well.

"I'll start," Ivy said, just in case the Ravenclaw was feeling self conscious about having to go first. "Well... I grew up in Sussex. I have two sisters, Lillian and Alison, and my parents work away from home so I don't see them a lot. My mother is a journalist for the Daily Prophet and my father is an Auror. I still don't know what I want to be when I'm older, but I know for certain I'll never be a teacher because I don't have the patience for it."

Ivy paused to take a breath, watching for any sign of a reaction. She honestly was just rattling off random trivia about herself for now, because she didn't have the slightest clue how to do this. "My best subject is Transfiguration, and my worst is Herbology. My favourite colour is blue, and my favourite book is Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. And... I just told you a ton of informaion you'll literally never need, and I have nothing more to offer so... your turn!"

"It would be nice to have some more friends." Lizzie was being honest and wasn't just playing along with the little act they had started. It was good to know your contacts and more often than not they were more likely to do things for you if you were on good terms. However, also having someone to confide in when you felt down. Lizzie needed to honestly stay at least friends with someone for a year or two. Both Cassie and Blake had drifted away from her and she hadn't seen her 'best friend' since the Blossom Ball.

The girl grinned and nodded her head along where the parts she agreed and put on a small scowl whenever something mentioned she had a bad opinion about. She didn't want to be to obvious but it was good to at least show a little bit of facial expression. "That was a lot of information there." She said smiling. "I like it. A lot of information Is good." She nodded her head once again and then thought about what she was going to say.

"I grew was born in Lancashire. My mum's name is Lilian and works for St. Mungo's Hospital. I thin as a receptionist. I'm not sure. My dad is retired at the grand old age of 41." She laughed and continued, "I have two sisters and three brothers. Two of my brothers are moving up to Hogwarts this year. I personally think I would be good at Quidditch as a job but hopefully can peruse music as well."

It seemed like she had gotten the family part out of the way meaning she no longer needed to waffle on about his stupid brothers and silly sisters. Even her parents were really annoying sometimes. "My favorite subject now has to be Charms or Potions however that was totally different at the start of the year. My worst subject is Transfiguration because I lose my wand a lot meaning I miss out on all the practical's and this science is very confusing. My favorite color is purple or blue and I love the book.. Um.. I actually don't read that often." She grinned and turned to Ivy, "Hopefully, all this information will come in useful for the future. Oh and my birthday is September 5th. That's pretty good to know."
