I believe it just wasn't added, but you are allowed to RP in the Main Street as part of another forum's threads. Such as Florean Fortesque's. Canonically there is an outside Patio so perhaps your character is standing outside on the patio and watching the street.

It's just something that wasn't added originally. Adding forums is not an easy feat here unfortunatley.

I suggest showing the Purse amount as soon as you click the top right corner instead of having to open a different link, as it makes it easier to check amount in purse while buying items. But it would be better as well if you don't remove the existing link.

I see that a few people are captains of multiple teams, such as Broom racing and duelling, for their house, and I was thinking maybe we could not allow that? I say it because others can also get an experience in being a captain/co-captain.

I've asked something similar in the past and basically what I got was along the lines of..

not everyone passes the tests, those who have the positions have passed the test. In addition to that, not all of those positions get a lot of applications, which might be why you have an extended deadline for the application and test period that is much longer than that of staff positions.

But I see where you're coming from with this. I was basically in support of [if on staff, no other spot] in the past to allow people to have positions for money and such when others already have that opportunity.

That would create extra work for the staff. I do know that there are many occasions that people step down from roles and others that have never held a position before take them. Like Vlad said, there aren't always very many people that apply since sports aren't easy to moderate. That means that sports get doubled with someone captaining more than one team.

If you cannot pass the test, you really should not be moderating because that means you do not know how to do your role.

It would be like stating - nobody passed the test to become a cashier, so I am going to put this person into the role temporarily. They cannot add... so I guess, we just hope for no customers. (bad plan)

For this, just so you're not ignored, this is a Zach thing and therefore should be proposed in Code-related feedbacks, suggestions and ideas. We had this before we had a whole shift in the dropdown menus for the site (I assume for accessibility purposes but to have everything in one place) and with that, the formerly visible amount of money got moved into the donation page.

If this is something you'd wish to see back, maybe propose it there. I'm not bothered with having it visible or going to a seperate link, I really only use the money to give to people for working on weekly word, but there are those of you that shop often and buy things and would like to know without having to open new tabs.

I suggest making a system where students can buy ingredients from Apothecary in Diagon Alley. Then the student can RP brewing the potion. Then the ingredients will be gone from their trunk and the potion will be added instead. It needn't be a free copy, because then the student won't be able to sell it.
