~0~ -

family lore:
[-His dad was in a band called "the lackies' in his youth-but the band broke up when the leader died(who Lev was secretly going out with-Lev was absolutely devastated)
-
-His mum had a bit of a rebellious streak, using her money to get out of things. Devi ran away one night and saw Lev perform in a small underground party scene and the two hit it off from there.]
-
-Devi and Lev ran away together after Keegan was born.-having been both from abusive/toxic households it was the best choice, even though Devi came from a rich wizarding family-but also in the muggle world, her grandparents basically disowned her after finding out about Lev saying she tainted the bloodline.
-
-Ruben(lev's brother) was the only one who tried to help and stay in contact with them even though he was about to go to college in America.
-
-Devi died when Keegan was only 6, leaving 22 year old Lev to look after him-he often did bad things to cope when things got hard and ended up becoming an alcoholic and started smoking more, Lev became emotionally absent.
-
-After what happened with Keegan's FIOM when Keegan was 8~9 Lev realized he was being a shitty father and vowed to change his ways, becoming a sort of over protective, older brother feel-still not quite a Dad to Keegan. But Keegan didn't mind this and he was just happy to have his "Dad' back, and that Lev was trying.
-
-However Lev still wasn't stable-in multiple ways, mentally, financially, Lev was unpredictable and the most they would have in one place was around a few weeks at best.

FIOM
(first instance of magic)
During a gig, while Lev was distracted and Keegan was out in the alleyway running an errand for Lev a drunken man tried to attack Keegan. He was 8 almost 9 at the time and he sent the man flying across the alleyway before Lev rushed out. Keegan doesn’t trust magic after that, afraid he will hurt others if he uses it, even if what he did was out of self-defence. Because he knows what it's like to be hurt, and tries his best not to hurt anyone else. However the boy still has nightmares about it.

Background:
Keegan's life pretty much started out on the run-but that was when he had his mother, who was always the more rational one, and the one who knew how to take care of everything. After his mother died(he saw her die because her mother(Keegan's grandmother Jameela) wanted Keegan killed because he was a half-blood therefore tainting the family bloodline but his mother saved him before the mercenary could get to Keegan-that was what made Lev wanting to stay on the run-worried if they stay in one place Keegan would be killed. Jameela swept everything under the rug buying her way out of her wrong doings.

Reputation/Presence:
Keegan is known to be rough around the edges, sort of a yob to be honest, but loyal and trustworthy-he is sort of like a trustable uncle sort of presence who would do anything to keep the ones he's close to safe, but almost at a distance. He is always working harder because he hates using magic unless he has to. He rebukes Lev's fox-like trickery and cunningness in place of fairness and helping the underdog, instead of himself. Keegan is known as someone who you can talk to-anytime of day-even if he appears grumpy, he will always listen-and put others first- but he isn't good at giving advice yet. Because of his background he's met all kinds of people and because of this he is always accepting of whoever comes to his doorstep and doesn't care what someone's situation is, even if he's complaining about doing something he will still do it.

Mentality:
He tends to not trust people-and is used to being on his own, so he usually sticks to the back of the class, because what's the point of having friends if they're only temporary? He hates his anger issues and beats himself up about it(he's 11 of course he doesn't know how to fully regulate his emotions). He views the world as something unforgiving. He's got one foot in the muggle-world and one foot in the wizarding-world, making him insecure and self-deprecating because he doesn't know how to do the whole wizarding shizz. He grew up having to rely on the kindness of others-or more often-Lev's unconventional methods of survival. He's highly observant and a natural adapter, easily fitting in when necessary, even if feeling like an outsider on the inside. He's scared of himself and his magic and would rather not use magic at all. Keegan hates opening up to people, which is where the anger issues come into play-he's never angry with the person, only at himself.

~0~

Voice:
Keegan's voice is a low class hodgepodge of all kinds of dialects-taking little quirks from others wherever Lev and Keegan moved. It's boisterous and he's a bit outspoken, and it is common for him to have voice cracks-especially when he laughs. When he gets angry or excited-high energy basically it's near impossible to understand him. He has a lovely singing voice though-especially for rock and pop music, he likes to perform on stage but hates singing by himself on stage.

Appearance:
He has father's charming smirk and mischievous twinkle, when laughing but he has a bad RBF. Keegan is wiry and unusually tall for his age(149cm) which ensures his clothing are perpetually ill-fitting. His wardrobe mainly consists of a collection of cozy, practical, and heavily worn pieces, wool sweaters—charity shop finds and hand-me-downs featuring mismatched items, washed-out corduroy and patches of embroidery. His bandages are a constant fixture due to his hesitation to use magical remedies.
Skin:
His freckles and small moles, splattered like paint across a light golden bronze canvas, that looks washed out especially in the fall and winter.
Eyes:
His eyes are his most striking feature, the same tumultuous, dark sky blue as his late mother’s, a vast ocean of emotion.
Hair:
it's a mop of chocolate brown-thick and a mix of curls and wavier strands, it's hardly ever styled, but he does try to brush it. His hair runs slightly past his ears.

❧ At 164cm Keegan would be a giant for his age. The average height of an 11-year-old is around 143 cm, the absolute tallest being 152 cm. Since you have not applied for the giant race it does not make sense for Keegan to be this tall.

❧ You need to add your wand information and species to your ency page.

❧ All the information above must be written somewhere in your ency as well. You should have sections about appearance, personality, history, and first instance of magic.

❧ Some elaboration is needed on the situation with Keegan's mother passing. How did she die exactly? Was there any repercussions for his Grandmother trying to murder a child/her grandson and then murdering her own daughter?
Pending, Elmo Break (11/4/2025)
- Note: I added their ency link: viewtopic.php?f=169&t=41788 above.
- Please rework the application form to follow the template we ask you to use. And yes, as Orion said, all your information that isn't asked for here (but do ensure that the information that is asked for also goes there) can go into your ency. We no longer require wand information (because that's on your profile). See reducio for the template.

Does any Profile Card info need changing? This is name, bloodstatus, nationality, residence. This is your last chance to change this information without needing an IC (in character) reason, as long as you haven't mentioned it in any roleplay.

Link to the character page: This is just a url to your encyclopedia.

Character Statistics: Your stat total should be 35 if fully human, 30 if you have a special ability/race.

Character Special Race/Talent: If your character is a magical race (such as part Veela) or has a magical talent (such as Metamorphmagus) please state the name of it here and provide us with the application. You can find all talents and races on the first page of the list of magical races, magical talents and special abilities.
Remember: you need to register your character to Index within 30 days of validation to be eligible for a magical race (such as part Giant) or have a magical talent (such as Parselmouth) and you need to write a 500 word (maximum of 2K word) application describing how this fits your character (as in describe how they exhibit this magical talent or race) and where it came from (example, your grandmother was a Vampire, you had a distant Seer ancestor, etc.). Once you are registered as human, you can no longer apply for a special race.

Character Backstory: This needs to be 220 words (maximum 2K words) on its own. In validations the entire application with your appearance and first magic needed to total 220 words, so for many of you we will be looking for you to expound upon your character.

First Instance of Magic: This should have already been written to pass validations. We just want a copy written in this application so we have a record of this.

- You are not mandated to state your species/human in the basic post anymore. Our new list of required information for the basic post is
Full Name:
History/Background Story: This would be your character’s life prior to Hogwarts as well as what has happened during your time at Hogwarts.
First instance of magic:: This would be your character's first accidental instance of magic that allowed them admission to Hogwarts.
- Your backstory itself must be 220 words without First Instance of Magic, Appearance or Personality. Please expand upon the backstory section.
- Why? Why is the grandmother trying to murder a child? Over their blood status? Not necessarily the oddest reason I've heard for an attempted (or successful) murder, but it's still kind of odd. Why was the grandmother not taken to court and why was she not incarcerated? Also, if his mom died trying to save him, the grandmother would need to be charged, or someone is going to need to be charged because a murder does not get swept under the rug without unwanted prying noses trying to figure out what happened and why she died.
- Again, this is just me trying to encourage you to reduce your application post here, we do not need Reputation, Mentality, Voice, Appearance, the family, the wand, their personality status, etc in this post. Please move this to your encylopedia. If we see the issue there, we can bring it up here but not following the template screws with us as it is not standardized and it can be confusing.
- Further notice, I do caution against describing abusive households and families as that can violate our ratings, so as you write your backstory or explain it more in depth, please keep this in mind.

Just a reminder to please make the changes listed above in the next 10 days or your application will be closed and you can reapply. Akinyi Odera was born in Kisii, Kenya, from muggle parents. The hilly terrain that surrounded her for her entire childhood encompassed her carefree and flexible attitude. As the middle child of three, Akinyi wasn’t always the most noticeable of her siblings. Her older brother was smart— so smart, in fact, that he had dreams of pursuing law school. Her younger brother was by far the most likeable person that Akinyi knew. He would smile and wink, play dumb when it benefited him, and never get in trouble with their single mother.

Akinyi, by comparison, was boring. She was hard working and methodical, gifted in mathematics and memorization. However, she never stood out on the same level as either of her brothers. Her passion was never truly discovered until a girl in their class began bragging about her fluency in three languages: Ekegusii, Swahili, and English. Akinyi didn’t like that someone else was better than her in any way whatsoever, so she gave her all into learning Swahili, simply because she wanted to be able to match her classmate. Akinyi saved up her money and purchased books, spoke to anyone who would listen, and would change her TV shows to Swahili subtitles so that she was immersed. It worked, and within the next year and a half, Akinyi could read, write, listen, and interpret Swahili, just needing to work on her speaking. She had already been fluent in English and Ekegusii, as well as conversational in Dholuo due to her cultural background and the local language, however Swahili was a language she had not yet touched until this interaction. Her mother had seen firsthand how much effort her daughter had put into learning Swahili, and told her she was proud.

This skill never really grew much more than that until she was accepted into Uagadou. Suddenly, Akinyi was just as interesting, if not more so, than her siblings. After all, she was magical. Her dream message came on January 1st just like all the other magical children. Except she had no clue that it had been coming.

Her acceptance and the explanation was a whirlwind, with Akinyi struggling to wrap her mind around such a concept. Once in Uagadou, she was delighted to hear of supplementary language classes regarding Swahili— all of her hard work was paying off, seeing as she didn’t actually need too much help at all! While at Uagadou, Akinyi latched onto various subjects, but mainly Kuchanganya Viungo (Potions & Alchemy) and Kusngalia Nyota (Astronomy). The act of making potions was a comforting and methodical process and involved more than simply magic. It involved resourcefulness and a sharp mind. Akinyi quickly found herself excelling, and during her free periods would study other languages with fellow students, often offering trades of completed homework for a language lesson.

Perhaps this was an odd exchange, but it worked for Akinyi.

She soon graduated Uagadou as a general student, very much aware of her interest in Potions and Languages. She accepted an apprenticeship as a Potions Assistant, expecting to establish her career as a Potioneer and leave whatever hobby she had developed with languages behind.

However, this pair of particular mentors was far more interested in having her translate potion recipes, the majority of which tied into Ancient Runes and The Elder Futhark. They simply had many tomes lying around, and didn’t have the time to translate them, thus their hiring of an assistant. Akinyi expected to fail, but worked at it anyways. She translated letter by letter, over and over again. Soon, she found herself translating word by word, and eventually she knew The Elder Futhark Script as well as she knew Ekegusii, simply because of her repetitive translations, over and over again.

During her apprenticeship, she came to the startling realization that one of her former classmates from Uagadou was their daughter. While at school they’d had their own run-ins, performing Akinyi’s language exchanges on a multitude of occasions. However, this daughter was now sticking around her parents’ potion shop, the very place Akinyi was apprenticing.

They finally had their first true meeting with the sound of a rather noticeable explosion. Akinyi had nothing to do with it; no, she was doing her translations, as per usual. It was Malaika, the daughter. She had somehow failed at a potion so badly that it exploded, forming a cloud of grey gas and sending residue flying throughout the entire brewing space. Akinyi had coughed, the entire room beginning to shake until she finally drew in a deep breath above the cloud, met with a soft “Are you okay?” Akinyi was fine. That was, until she realized that the residue had landed squarely on her notebook, ruining a week’s worth of translations.

From then on, Akinyi tried her best to stay away from Malaika whilst there. They always seemed to find ways to bump into each other, though. No matter how much Akinyi made her despise clear, Malaika seemed undeterred. Finally, they went on a date. It was nice. Akinyi… didn’t know what to make of it. Their dating continued during her entire apprenticeship and constant translations, full of sweet gifts and laughter once Akinyi got over the potion incident.

Following the two year long apprenticeship, Akinyi went back to school. This time, to the Magical Institution for Ancient Scripture. Malaika had followed, allowing for their relationship to continue and grow. This school, though? It was where Akinyi truly flourished. Researching, learning, and translating many tomes, she was involved in a project that decoded and translated Djenné manuscripts from Mali, all the while doting on her girlfriend. She’d found her home amongst her fellow students, and with her love.

However, Akinyi did eventually graduate, and she ended up moving back home to Kisii, with a loving Malaika following quickly behind her. Around the same time of her move, the classification of various Rune systems, primarily those found in East Africa, were reclassified as endangered. This is due to many not finding opportunities to exercise knowledge of Ancient Runes when growing up in communities that simply do not always have the time to sit down and run through possible translations and solutions. But perhaps… Akinyi did. Employed by one of the local governments, she spent about a year learning the Ge'ez Script. Reading through the scriptures took much time, and the endurance of headaches that pounded away at her forehead, but it was worth it.

She would sit at her desk for hours, with only the light of the sun and her candle to read by. It was at these moments that Akinyi truly loved Malaika. She would sit behind her and run her fingers through her hair, or trace circles on her back. She would deliver chocolates and trade side hugs for forehead kisses. Akinyi truly grew to understand their love. Although it wasn’t perfect, and they’d had their fair share of misunderstandings and miscommunications, they had remained so in love.

Eventually, Akinyi did end up learning and translating many verses and poems written in Ge’ez Script into modern languages, primarily Swahili. Malaika insisted that Akinyi take a break and travel with her. So they did, taking a relaxing and peaceful trip to around the world. It was truly gorgeous. Their last stop was Brazil, the tropical paradise. They dined at restaurants, gifted flowers to each other, the whole shebang. Finally, Akinyi took Malaika hiking to a waterfall. It was a short walk, and Malaika looked stunning. Akinyi dropped to one knee to reveal a ring, a smile stretched across her face as she asked the question, only to get shocked laughter and tears in reply, before Malaika, too, dropped down to one knee. They had accidentally double proposed, with both of them carrying rings to ask the other for eternal love. The two exchanged a tearful embrace, the rings now signs of their adoration.

Following this, Akinyi went to the north, set to explore the Celtic and Nordic runes, the history deep and rich within the region, culture, and writing. Of course, she took her new fiancé with her. It was here when Akinyi heard of the opening at Hogwarts, and she was satisfied with this opportunity. She would have the opportunity to pass on all of her knowledge to the next generation, and take a break from mindless speculation about what heavy books may be trying to communicate, and instead teaching from separate heavy books about the very things she had been studying for years. Akinyi was set to give Hogwarts a shot.

Akinyi just wanted the noise to stop. Was it so difficult to click your pen more softly? She was trying to focus, and her brother’s pen was a thorn in her side. Plugging her ears, Akinyi read the words on the page again… and again. It just wasn’t sinking in. And the damn clicking just kept going. Finally, unplugged her ears and her anger showed itself, a rare occurrence. The rage painted all over her features, her brother paused for a moment, eyes wide with surprise and dismay. It took a moment for Akinyi to register everything that had just happened. Why was their dining room table covered in ink?

It turns out, the pen had snapped in half. Randomly. Eight year old Akinyi was confused, but it wasn’t anything too out of the ordinary. At the very least, the constant clicking had finally ceased.

Character Backstory: Lauren liked quiet mornings best. The sun rose gently over Amersham’s rooftops, spilling gold across her small bedroom. From her window, she could see the soft slopes of the Chiltern Hills, mist still clinging to the trees.

Her brothers—Daniel and Alex—were already up, clattering dishes downstairs, arguing over toast. Her twin sisters, Amanda and Miranda, were still asleep, curled up in their shared room like kittens. Lauren didn’t mind the noise or the silence. She simply liked the in-between—the quiet before everyone fully woke, the hush before the day began.

Books were her closest friends. She read on the train to school, under the old oak by the common, and late into the night, with fairy lights strung above her bed. Stories made sense when people didn’t.

At school, she was the quiet one—the girl who smiled but didn’t always speak. Teachers said she was “thoughtful.” But Lauren thought she was just... her.

Some afternoons, she wandered through the lanes of Amersham, the scent of rain on brick, dreaming of faraway cities she’d only read about.

But as the hills turned golden in the evening sun, she always came home—because, quiet as her world was, it was hers.
First Instance of Magic: When she was 5, her parents cut her hair into a ugly haircut; a bowl cut, her hair grew back almost immediately and when she was 9, one boy was bullying her and she accidentally set fire on his clothes.

Character Special Race/Talent: Sixth sense

Character Backstory: She was born in Edinburgh in a wizard family. Even though both her parents are wizards some of her family members are muggles and muggles born which makes her familiar with both of the wizard and muggle worlds. She is raised in Edinburgh in the downtown in a good family, her dad is working as an auror and her mom works at the ministry of magic. Her parents were always there to her, has supported her and provided her with everything she needed. However she wasn't spoiled, she received a good education and learnt how to be thankful for what she has without asking for more. She has a big brother, named Ewan, who is 13 and is also a current student at Hogwarts. Her relationship with her brother is strong since he has always looked out for her and helped her when she needed it. She also admires her brother a lot, since he is clever and a good quidditch player. She has a black maltese dog named Olen, but he belongs to the family. She has few friends both muggles and wizards. Her parents tried to make her know both worlds and to get familiar with muggles as well even though she lives in the wizard world. Of course, she has always kept the secret to her muggle friends that she was coming from a wizard family living in a wizard world. Somehow, it creates a distance with these friends since she couldn't be truly herself, nor telling everything she wanted. Even though she appreciates her muggle friends it was sometimes hard for her and she knew they were different and they would ended up being apart at some point. Nevertheless, most of her friends are wizards and she was going to school in the wizard world before receiving the Hogwarts letter. She has one best friend with who she is often going out or going to her home since her parents are also friends with her friend's parents. They attended the same primary school.

First Instance of Magic: The first Instance of Magic occurred at 5 years old. She was given the plates to be brought back from the dining room to the kitchen. As she was going to put them on the counter of the kitchen, the plates slipped from her hands and were falling on the floor. She felt it and start panicking yet instead of falling and breaking into pieces the plates stayed in the air and slowly got on the floor without breaking. Her mom hearing her screaming from the kitchen ran to the kitchen only to see her daughter looking at the plates floating and settling on the floor.

Geneva’s childhood was quiet and peaceful, if not particularly eventful. The one dark stain in her memories happened when she was six years old. One rainy night in October, her mother sat her down on the couch and told her that her father had died in a car crash. That he was never coming home.

From that point on, Geneva’s mother, Esther, and older sister, Maren, took care of the family, including Geneva’s younger brother, Caleb. For the most part, they were happy. Esther worked as an ER nurse to support the family, which meant long hours and not much time spent with her kids. Maren stepped in as a second mother to Geneva and Caleb, who loved her as dearly as their actual mother.

Ever since she was young, Geneva had always been one of the “gifted children.” She just never seemed to have very much trouble with the work other children struggled over. To the adults, this was spectacular. But to Geneva herself, it was a bore. She wished that she could be given challenging schoolwork, material that stretched her mind and pushed her to explore.

Because she got good marks in all of her classes without trying, she decided to push herself. She would dig deeper in all her subjects, learn each topic as completely as she could. She studied the origins of math- how ancient philosophers had noticed patterns hidden in their world and written them out into theories. She was fascinated by the ancient world, and all the things they had discovered with so little to go off of. The more she studied, the more questions she had, and although she hardly understood all of it she still tried to absorb as much as she could.

Any time that wasn’t spent studying was filled with dancing. The hours spent in the ballet studio, where she could focus on moving her body and creating beautiful shapes, were the highlight of each week.
Geneva felt something else within herself too, something she couldn’t name. A… potential. It wasn’t until a very oddly dressed representative of a place called Hogwarts School came to call that she realized what it was. Magic.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
At the early age of five, Geneva’s creative aspirations were cruelly cut short by her mother. No matter how much the sobbing child begged, the answer was still “No, Geneva, you may not dye your hair purple!”

When the sobbing reduced to screaming, Geneva was carried unwillingly to bed.
Geneva awoke the next morning as disconsolate as the night before. As she stepped onto the bathroom step-stool to brush her teeth, a flash of color in the mirror caught her eye. She looked closer and shrieked with glee!

Her mother was not so pleased. How in the world had her five-year-old managed to dye her hair bright purple overnight? Although no amount of washing made a difference, the next morning Geneva’s hair had returned to its original color as if nothing had happened. This equally relieved and perplexed her parents.

Character Backstory: Aziza Harlow is the daughter of Mariam Harlow and Arthur Okino. Mariam was a half-blood witch who worked at a small cafe in Kampala, Uganda and Arthur was a muggle who worked as a shopkeeper. They were married for a year before their daughter was born. Aziza never got to meet her father, from a young age her mother made sure she knew her father left because he could not accept her magical heritage. This never seemed to bother Aziza as she grew, not seeming to care.

Mariam met Theodore Harlow when Aziza was three years old. Mariam was working at the small cafe and Aziza was supposed to be sitting at one of the booths when she wandered off. She luckily did not make it far, only getting out the door when she literally ran into Theodore. Her mother and Theodore hit it off immediately and even after returning to the UK, would send letters and visit when he could. Being a muggleborn himself, Theodore was very accepting of the family and grew to love Mariam and Aziza quickly. At the young age of five, Aziza moved to Oxford with her mother and Theodore. Mariam and Theodore got married soon after and Aziza was adopted by Theodore as soon as the paperwork could be turned in.

Moving to the UK at the age of five, Aziza had no difficulty adjusting to the changes. Aziza was enrolled in a local Muggle school, the one Theodore attended when he was a child. While there was concern that she would not fit in and there could be issues when she showed signs of magic, they preferred that over hiring a tutor or sending her to a magical preparatory school. Aziza made friends rather quickly and studied as much as possible to prove herself even though it was not needed. Aziza enjoyed going to work with Theodore when possible, sitting in the classroom, and watching the students from a variety of backgrounds. It got to the point the young girl would even attempt to help her father work. The letter of her attendance to Hogwarts was not a surprise to Theodore or Mariam, both expecting the young girl to attend.
First Instance of Magic: Aziza's first instance of magic was nothing spectacular. At the age of seven, the girl was rather frustrated while attempting to do some homework. In her frustration, she accidentally snapped her pencil in half and tossed the pencil across the room in her frustration. Two separate pieces of pencil never hit the floor. Instead, there was a whole pencil, completely solid and ready to be used like nothing had happened.

Character Backstory: Luna Katherine was born on the 11th of November in 2013 to Jude Wailey and Nataly Wailey-Blair. Jude is a deep sea pressure diver, while Nataly is a very skilled apothecary who runs her own apothecary shop in the small village of Dallas, Scotland. LK has three older siblings (Logan, age 19, born December 3rd 2005; Finlay, age 15, born September 19th 2010; Aisling, age 13, born July 31 2011) and one younger half-sister (Alba, age 6, born March 14th 2019). Alba is Luna-Katherine's half sister due to her mother having an experience with s3xual assault while Jude was away at work. Despite her unfortunate circumstance of conception, Alba is still dearly loved and cherished by the entire family.
Growing up, Luna-Katherine was not a fan of social interaction. She excelled in her coursework in school but had few friends (much to her own pleasure), preferring to spend her time in her mother's apothecary shop; this has allowed for her to develop profound skills in chemistry, cooking, apothecary work, and organization, among other skills. Often, Nataly will rely upon both Luna-Katherine and Finlay to assist her at her workplace, something that Luna-Katherine takes great pride in.
Out of all of her siblings, LK is typically closest with Finlay, due to the amount of time they spend together in the apothecary as well as their similar stoic nature. However, LK also spends quite a bit of time with Alba, as the main person the younger girl would cling to whenever she was being raised and the only one who was really able to calm her while their mother was working. While loving all of her siblings, she is envious of Aisling's successes and popularity and hasn't seen Logan in years, as he is off at university in Wales.

First Instance of Magic: When she was four years old, Luna-Katherine got in trouble at her mother's apothecary for playing around with a bottle of herbs. Shocked at being yelled at, she allowed for the herbs to slip out of her hands, and the glass shattered on the floor. The herbs instantly set on fire, for reasons they couldn't explain at the time but that are now attributed to an explosion of magic. Amidst the chaos, Luna-Katherine began to cry, and her tears were found to be acidic, with a pH of 4.7 (almost low enough to cause lasting damage; a pH of 4 or lower is considered a strong acid and would cause lasting damage). As this was a single instance, no damage to her eyes was done; however, she still has a very mild sensitivity to light.
STATUS: Pending, Lawrence Maynard, 06/11
Reason for Pending:
- You may not simply claim that LK has a high tolerance or almost immunity to poison, this is an ability you can apply for here in our ability system. The ability is called poison resistance and this is the description: "You have a great metabolism. Perhaps you have been exposed to various poisons and potions before and you have become familiar or partially immune to varied potions." However this is not the place to apply for that and so you must remove it from your index registration.
- You have not adhered to the mandatory information we require in your ency as we require you to post your backstory and fiom in there as well as having a trunk page.
- In your first instance of magic the accidental magic seems to be that you set the herbs on fire which would be fine but then all of a sudden you are also having tears of acid. Acid tears would burn your eyes as they formed and likely do significant damage to LK's sight especially at such a young age.
STATUS: Pending, Lawrence Maynard, 10/11
Reason for Pending:
- Your trunk code is unfortunately not up to the most recent standards. I see that you have used a template of Prat's but it is outdated. We no longer allow custom fonts, and spells/potions are no longer to be included in the trunk section. Please adhere to this guide.

The family has good money but they aren't necessarily wealthy, but they are rich in love, music and storytelling, and have enough for what they need, but many say that the Hollyoaks have more children than they can afford.

First Instance of Magic: her first instance of magic happened when she was practicing the violin with her mother but couldn't get the notes right in her anger the violin strings broke in a discordant and jarring note- her mother looked up at her and simply raised an eyebrow before doing the reparo charm on the violin and smiled widely, her older brother Vincent was in the room and he grinned at her. Roslyn was embarrassed of course and looked down but continued the melody and her mother and brother continued playing along

Character Special Race/Talent: Dhampir
The vampire blood in Ilie's family started with his grandmother on his father's side. At age 32, Ilie's grandmother was wandering in the woods of Alma Vii, a small town in Transylvania. The lore of vampires runs deep in Romania, and she knew this, but she was in those woods anyway. While exploring, she got into a bad scuffle with a vampire and got bitten while trying to escape. When Ilie's grandmother met her husband, she did not turn him. This resulted in a romance between vampire and human. Ilie's father was born a half vampire, or a dhampir. His father had the notable tooth gaps and very pale skin. His eyes were grey and his hair was brown. His father was almost corpse looking, which made many in the wizarding world hold a disdain for him, or even a hatred. When his father met his mother, she was from a human lineage that he did not want to destroy. Similarly to Ilie's grandmother, his father did not turn his mother, even when they were wed. Ilie was born a quarter vampire. His parents never informed him of the vampire blood in his lineage, so he grew up thinking his abnormalities were normal. He has retractable fangs that are very short when visible. The only difference between his fangs and someone's normal canines are that his fangs are rounder and sharper, similar to the piercing fangs of a snake. Ilie is used to being able to see in the dark, due to his pupils being able to dilate to abnormal sizes. This caused so much strain on his iris muscles, though, which caused him to gain a disorder called anisocoria right after he was born. Ilie has the pale skin of a vampire, but due to his human blood he is not as pale as his ancestors. He has the dark under eyes of a corpse, but due to his skin being darker than that of a full-blooded vampire, he just constantly looks sleep deprived. His eyes, due to his human blood, are a steel blue color. They have grey undertones to them, but he was able to gain more color because of his lack of vampire blood. Growing up, his parents used to feed him very bloody steaks and meats in order to satiate his hunger for blood. He grew up with that being the norm, as his father did the same thing frequently. His parents would buy blood off an underground market for him to be able to have snacks. They would just call them red pops that he would munch on. Ilie found out very early on that he sunburnt very easily, and it was very painful. Ilie learned how to stay in the shade and enjoy more woodland like areas rather than direct sunlight, as it was an inconvenience on him and his family. Despite burning easily under the sun, Ilie loves being outdoors even in his own ways. He likes to explore deeply wooded areas and observing the wildlife in the area. His life as a dhampir is hard, but he has adapted well to his conditions.

Character Backstory: Ilie was born in Alma Vii, a small town in Transylvania, Romania. His mother was Icelandic and his father was Dhampir born from the same place. As Ilie is a wizardborn, his family lineage was a big mixture of wizards and muggles. His parents, knowing the dangers of the wizarding world and how it can risk a family, ended up leaving Romania and moving to Perth in Scotland. His parents lived more in the rural side of Perth, having limited contact with the muggle world and the wizarding world. Ilie's parents mainly informed him of the dangers of wizarding and what to avoid in order to stay safe. Ilie's life thus far has been peaceful and mainly revolved around him learning how to adapt to the vampire part of his lineage. Ilie had very vague knowledge of the wizarding world, but he didn't mind being lost in that part of his life since he never expected much of it to come up. After much thought from his parents, and his first instance of magic, Ilie was sent to Hogwarts in order to learn more about the history behind wizarding and learn how to control his magic. Ilie first really found out he was a dhampir when he got to Hogwarts, as his parents hid much from him in order to keep him "safe". Ilie was thrust into a world of confusion, and he is now learning everything about the strangeness of his life.

FIOM: At age 6, Ilie was having intense feelings of homesickness. He was missing everything about his old home. This new place was oh so confusing to him. The smells, the sounds, the weather. It was late night in his new house when his parents awoke to the familiar sounds of bears grunting, wild boars scourging, a cold wind blowing through the house. Ilie's parents went to his room, only to find him wiping old tears and enjoying the ambient noise he had created for himself.

Character Backstory
Nahella grew up just outside a Muggle neighborhood, where the smell of car smoke mixed with potion fumes. Her family's house was always loud. Books were stacked on tables, jars of weird ingredients everywhere, and a cat that kept knocking over quills. Her mother is a magical historian who forgets to eat when she is writing, and her father runs an apothecary that smells like herbs and dragon ash.

They were strict, not in a cruel way, just the kind of parents who believe you can always do better. Her mother would say, ''Try again,'' even when Nahella got it right. Her father would smile and ask, ''Sure that's your best work?''
They never yelled, but every mistake turned into a conversation about how to improve, sometimes worse than the mistake itself.
It used to annoy her, but she knew they meant well. She loves them for it, and hates it too when she's tired of always trying to ''do better.''

She was a curious kid, restless and stubborn. She liked exploring, sneaking into her father's workroom, pretending to mix potions when no one was looking.
When she wasn't there, she would sit by the window listening to her mother tell stories of ancient magic and forgotten wizards. Sometimes she would copy the spells her mother muttered to herself, just to see what would happen.

First Instance of Magic
Nahella's first instance of magic occurred when she was six years old. During a heated quarrel between relatives, she became overwhelmed by the chaos and wished everything would stop. And then it did. The entire room went silent. Voices, footsteps, and not even the curtains moved. For nearly a full minute, the world held its breath. When the noise returned, Nahella stood there, shaken, realizing that her emotions could shape reality itself.

Reason for Denied:
Your backstory (and possibly first instance of magic) is AI generated. Please rewrite this in your own words.

Once this is sorted out, we can work on the following reasons:
1. You have not earned the spells in your trunk yet, please remove them. The inventory is also an unnecessary addition.
2. Please add your first instance of magic to your encyclopaedia.
3. Disregarding your final sentences on her experience in Hogwarts, your backstory is only 179 words. Please write 220 words on her backstory before Hogwarts only.
