Hi! I do have a suggestion concerning the mentorship program. Many mentors don't even accept any mentees at all, though they are active and (this is just my suggestion) I thought it might be a good idea to let those who actually accept mentees often only be mentors, and remove those who don't

Not even sure how good an idea this is, this is just my opinion on the current scenario where only a few mentors are actually actively accepting mentees
Hey Emily!
Mentors work hard to integrate new players, just because we may not appear active does not mean we are not working diligently behind the scenes. <3 Mentor’s have a roster that holds a limited number of mentees at any given time, It takes a long time to complete a mentorship for some, and a number of mentorships go inactive due to loss of contact with the mentee. These things take time!
While ideally every mentorship would start and conclude quickly and easily, sometimes things take a little bit longer, leaving that roster full.
I hope this answers your question from the perspective of a mentor!

Both Sage and Adeline answered you. Please note that we do have an active roaster of mentors, we as Mentor Leads conduct activity check monthly and those who are—so the current mentors are actually active.

Often we have an influx of people signing up, and often we do not, and as it was aforementioned, mentors take 3, and some may be busy with their mentees at that period. There is no expected period to complete mentorship, because players have busy schedules outside the site and it might take some time. In a situation where mentees fall off due to inactivity, we conduct logs and reach out to the mentee that they were removed due to inactivity. So, to sum it up, it is not the same people/mentors accepting mentees, the process does take time depending on the speed of the mentees and if the mentors' claim threads are full :)

Oh no, the request was not insensitive at all. It would help others understand the mentorship program better. I am happy you asked

But Britain is big, with England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Shouldn't there be like separate forums for each of the other places, since Hogwarts has students from all of Britain?
I believe this is possible but would take some discussion. Currently, users not wanting to RP in London (of which there are many, haha) tend to post their RPs in Elsewhere.

I mean I know that elsewhere is more versatile, but wouldn't having forums for the four places be more specific?

We have a system of patrolling that makes adding forums a challenge because those are additional areas to monitor. While our rules are not that expansive (no metagaming, godmodding, using canon characters, use only spells you have, wc minimum being 200 words, have the words you make make sense, use English, don't use AI or otherwise plagiarize) players seem to struggle with this concept. This is a heavy burden on the staff team and many of the forums we presently have are not being utilized which also creates a challenge for players as there are more places for them to look for active threads.

Hi! I have a suggestion about the friend/foes adding option.
Instead of just adding friends/foes you could have options like
• Best friend
• Dorm mate
• Sibling (for INPC account/for a friend you have OOC (or in real life) and would like to have them as a family member.)
• Mom/dad (has to be an adult)
• Wife/husband (has to be adult)
Or any other options.
I also think adding someone as a friend should work both ways, if I want to add a friend who's name, for example, is Orla Evans, then I send a request to her, if she approves, then she is my friend.

It is not made for social media connections, it is a quick list for messaging and . There is no external indicator for those relationships you have. Those lists are used to not view those that make you uncomfortable (foe) and as a quick-access resource for your favorite people, that is it. You are looking for a social connection network, which would be the creation of a new system.

I was think that maybe we could have a daily stipend for the Inpcs too? Like how it is for the PCs the Inpcs could have one too.
