Here are the modifications of the last few days!

• like I written a few days ago yesterday, I finished rewriting the Marauder's map : no visible modification for you, except the deletion of a small shift that was positioning people wrongly, but at the end of the day, the deletion of a lot of lines of code ;
• correction of the links at the bottom of the page (unread messages, my messages...) which could appear blurred or not very readable on some browsers;
• creation of a new page which presents the members of the site with administration or moderation functions;
• better display of the small icons under the avatar in the profile;
• it is now possible to see in the profile the groups to which the person belongs;
• nicer display when you have no unread posts, RP, drafts, favorites...

Adding the friend list:

• this list allows you to find, on a page, the profiles of people you consult most often ;
• it also allows, thanks to a small icon on the page of writing owls in the aviary, to select your recipient in one click;
• to add someone to your list of friends, click on the small heart, under or next to his avatar, in the identity card.

Some new features on the BBcode side :

• inserting tables is more convenient: you indicate the number of rows and columns, and it adds the codes directly ;
• same for inserting lists where you can directly indicate the number of bullets you want;
• lastly, for roguelists, it is now possible to roll dice : I hesitated with a silly random number generator but I found it fun to display several sixes dice, you'll tell me if this suits you or if a number generator is more useful to you.

Some small changes in the last few days:

• an alert now shows you when you leave a page with a homework or a message being written that has not been sent;
• added links between own profile and profile edit;
• better display of small icons on profiles;
• the drop-down menus of the trunk or of some pages (unread messages, new messages, drafts, favorites...) are made slightly larger to be better displayed on phone;
• these same drop-down menus are no longer proposed at the bottom of the page when it is too short, to avoid that the drop-down menu is displayed in a strange way;
• deactivation of the autocompletion of identifiers that could appear in the address book on iOS;
• possibility to increase or decrease the height of text boxes when writing in topics or assignments;
• repair of the search in the owls which had obviously problems;
• multiple various small tweaks to the interface that I don't detail.

Some new features for the avatars !

You can send avatars of almost any size (from 260x260 to 2600x3000) and up to 4 Mb: they will be automatically converted and resized to the right size (260x300).

Its width/height ratio must be smaller than 260x300, otherwise the image will be distorted. Animated gifs are no longer possible.

I hope this change (which took me a whole day) will make it easier for you to send your avatars, and will be one less barrier for new ones!

On the program these last days:

• better display of avatars in profiles, and with real colors ;
• adjustment of the size of the crests in the upper left corner on some large phones;
• improved the way information is displayed at the top of messages on phones;
• added a mention in the Marauder's map when looking at his friends list;
• fixed a bug that caused moderators to display the wrong number of gallons when editing another person's post;
• fixed a bug that could prevent access to Hogsmeade if you bought the certificate in the last few days (contact me if this is the case!);
• better alignment of background images in some cases;
• fixed a display bug in the stores that affected the bottom bars;
• display of some missing background images in stores;
• return of wallpapers on phone;
• fixed the display of date and time on topics that were locked.

Having got my hands on an iPad for the first time and in connection with a recent Apple update, here are a few new features:

• on iPad (and probably other tablets), the wallpaper was jumping when you scrolled : it's now fixed !
• on iPhone, iPad, under macOS with Safari 15 or under Android with Chrome, the status bar / the browser are now colored with the colors of the site (which change with the location) for more immersion;
• on iPhone, the bottom bar can be higher to allow the display of phone buttons;
• unrelated to the above, fixed a bug on the size of the "owl" icon in the upper right corner in case of an unread owl and on a phone.

Here is a list of changes made in the last few days:

• decoration of Halloween, which will come back automatically every year;
• improvement of the layout in the tabs of modification of the profile and the account;
• import of images on the server to keep the images on the long term, to have lighter pages and a more secure site*;
• the videos youtube and musics are now transformed in link : besides the lightening of the pages, the objective is to avoid trackers and codes executed by Google on the site*;
• hosting of emojis on the site*;
• fixed display issues in chocolate frogs maps, in Gringotts and in Diagon Alley.

* with these three changes, no more extraneous code or objects should be present on the pages.

Hello everyone,

This week, some performance improvements first of all:

• the sending of messages / owls is now almost instantaneous, against sometimes up to 10 seconds until today: it was a long time that I wanted to solve this problem, which was getting worse with time, and came from the fact that the server was waiting to send all the notification mails before validating the message; things can still be a bit slower when there are images;
• profiles are now displayed as fast as other pages, compared to 2 to 3 seconds before;

Besides, I've strengthened the security of the site by removing (and banning) all the "inline" scripts of the site (which generated some temporary problems this week while I solve them all, I'm sorry).

Finally, I'm working on the moderation panel: the pages to manage the forums and the topics have already been redone.

Some small changes :

• for privacy reasons, profiles now display the date of the last message posted in a forum, and not the date of last connection;
• it is now possible to use tags (in square brackets in a title) in the owlery;

Finally, some details or small bugs:

• repair of the possibility to change the functions of the characters for the directors of house;
• better quality of the background image of the basement ;
• fixed the size of the owl icon in the upper right corner which could be weird on some tablet sizes;
• improvement of the display of some old images;
• fixed some posts that could not be displayed anymore.

Some small updates:

• it is now possible, in your profile, to choose to ignore users : this option allows you, if you wish, to hide by default the messages of some users ; these can nevertheless be displayed with a click ; this option does not block the display of topics nor owls ; it is not possible to ignore an administrator or a moderator ;
• added a button to add friends from the friends list;
• for moderators, deleted posts are now hidden by default, which allows to have much more readable topics; a small message appears between two posts to indicate a deleted post, which a click allows to display;
• in the same way, the deleted topics are more discreet in the forums;
• new display of locked topics in the forums to be more readable;
• change of the design of the astronomy room (which is now displayed as an outdoor location);
• small spiders can appear in the background at Hogwarts on computer randomly;
• fixed an error that could prevent the friends page from displaying.

Here are the updates that have kept me busy these last few days:

• the moderation panel has been redone from top to bottom : moderation of posts, management of reported posts and owls, possibility to validate messages before they are visible to users, and functional archives ;
• it is now possible to report a message or an owl to warn administrators or moderators of any problematic content (illicit, spam, cheating, harassment, off-topic...) using the little "exclamation mark" icon; please do not abuse this feature which is there to warn moderators;
• possibility for teachers and administrators to give and consult warnings for players;
• redesign of the pages for banning users for administrators;
• the information messages ("you are editing a post", "previewing a post", etc.) have been redesigned to fit better into the design and be more visible;
• a "quote" button has been added in the aviary to easily reply to an owl by quoting its content;
• the margins on the left and right of the quotes have been narrowed for a better reading on phone;
• spacing between items in lists (like this one) has been revised to be more readable;
• fixed a bug with adding friends from profiles.
