The game was slowly teetering further and further towards Ravenclaw's favor. Lottie had broken away from the hoops in pursuit of saving, and of course that wound up being to their loss as Winnie managed around 50 whole points and sent the score spiraling up for Ravenclaw. Lottie anxiously gnawed at her bottom lip until it was red and warm.
The game would continue, and she had to get out of her head. Clutching her broom, she shook her head and continued forward.

When he saw Damien so pumped right next to him, he couldn't help but feel twice as excited. Winnie was still in the air. Aston was still up. Ravenclaw was leading ninety to fifty. “Come on, team,” he whispered, moving closer to the edge of the bench as if his mere presence could influence the outcome of the game. So far, the Snitch had only been seen once, and Aly was going at full speed as if she owned the pitch. If they were only able to extend the lead for a little bit more, Ravenclaw could put this one away.

The first round was going so well, and now those bloody eagles were in the lead! On the brighter side, that sharp jab to their beater felt good, though it is a shame that Karina was spotted. She’s quite lovely.

How did Quidditch players do this? Broomracing was significantly less…hands off. Instead of training her in keeping, the team ought to have her practice paying attention to the game. She had to zero in on the action, or she might miss something. Her negative or positive words could affect a player enough to elicit a response in favor of their team.

There was a crunch nearby, and her eyes narrowed as she turned to see the munching boy. As if the chants were not enough, the young Aamon appeared to be in his own world of treats.

Avis spent the entire penalty lap staring intently at the action in the middle of the pitch. Chaos had ensued although it seemed things were finally pitching towards the birds’ side after such a horrendous start. As she zipped around the final stretch, craning her neck to catch Rafal, a Slytherin she’d met awhile back, cobbing her teammate. The girl waited for a whistle, her muscle inadvertently tensing for the noise, only to discover the boy hadn’t been spotted.
“Oi!! C’mon, ref! That was a bloody foul!” she shouted furiously. Damn referee didn’t seem to want to play fair this match. Honestly, the nerve.

Well, there was that brief moment of fleeting comfort. That period of time where Slytherin was comfortably in the lead. But that was the problem with comfort: it had a way of making one weak. Of making one allow things to happen that should have been shut down.
His attention was on Percival, the teen who had cracked that bludger with all of the force of a ogre on steroids. It hit a pair of bookworms, but astonishingly they held fast to their brooms. "More durable than I would have credited them" he internally mused. Another handful of crisps to his mouth, this was one of those sports where you were watching for the carnage more than the victory.
