Nate was tall, strong and ambitious. These are probably three characteristics that described all the men of the Smirnow family. His father, his big brother, and him as well. They all had so much in common and the two brothers were truly their father's sons. They had inherited his stature and since childhood they were under his upbringing. He valued honor, sincerity, and strength - physical and mental. But family was also very important in the Smirnow family. But among all the values, there was another commonality that the sons inherited, so to speak, from their father. It was the love of sports, especially boxing.

Ever since they were kids, they started training and since then it was a love that had not faded. Nate was not only strong and big, he was also nimble. It was something you probably wouldn't expect from a boy of that stature. But a boxer should not be underestimated. His footwork was nimble, his hands were quick, and his many fights taught him how to handle stress. He learned to keep the overview even in stressful and exhausting situations. He couldn't lose sight of his opponent, he had to keep his concentration and be ready at any time. He had to dodge the attacks. It was almost like a chess game, he had to know the next move before it was made. All of this was far from easy, but years of training brought him to this very point.

But in the ring it was easy, there was only him and his opponent. They were in their demarcated area and the fight was between these two. There were no sudden threats that could come from the side, let alone from behind. Nate was strong, fast and focused, but at the same time he was in tunnel vision. He wasn't aware of his surroundings, only his opponent. So Nate had to learn to leave that tunnel vision behind. He learned it, like so many things, from his father.

At first, Nate didn't understand why it was so important. He had never lost a fight, and yet his father criticized his fighting style. It made him angry inside, but after a while he understood. The real world was not a boxing ring, there were no ropes around him that excluded other people. In the real world, it wasn't just him and one other person. He couldn't carry that tunnel vision with him outside the ring and that meant losing it.

It wasn't easy and the training was tough. His father had no mercy and while Nate always had the upper hand over his direct opponent, in the early days his father would always surprise him from the side and attack him. But as tough as the early days were, there came a point when Nate learned quickly. He managed to overcome the hurdle and break through the tunnel. Practice came, and his father lunged from the side with his claw, and Nate blocked the attack. It was almost as if his arm reacted on its own because it couldn't take it anymore how Nate and his thick skull kept getting hit. This was the breakthrough and already quickly Nate improved and finally he managed to break through the tunnel. Not only was he strong, nimble and focused, now he had a sense of more than the obvious. He was not only aware of his surroundings, also he had developed a certain intention for danger. It started with his father sneaking up on him from time to time, at first it went unnoticed but soon such things caught Nate's attention. In combination this was a huge improvement and even if Nate hopes he never really need that abilities outside of his fights he was grateful that his father taught him those lessons.
──ABILITIES───────[reducio]FOUL PLAY
[reducio]Maxim grew up with the mindset of, "somebody has got to lose, and you better pray it isn't you." With that sort of mentality, his mind set very quickly became how to avoid being the looser in any given competition. Losing was the worst offence you could do as a Levin, Levin's Do NOT lose! They play the game in their favour. Maxim's father was the one that instilled this mindset into his boys, the way he played quidditch was a shady style to say the least, and for most of his games, he would get away with it. Most people who knew of Maxim's father, new him for a sly, unfair player, and he was either a loved man for how confident he was in his plays, or hated due to all of the cheating... However it never phased any of the family, those who were angry were just mad they lost, at least that is how Maxim had looked at it all. His father inspired Maxim, that if he wanted to make it in the world, the world wasn't going to hand him the win, or pat him on the back, but winning was something you claimed and could control. It started from a very young age, tricking other kids out of various collections, or possessions, due to Maxim's way of starting a bet/competition, but bending rules to his favour. As he grew up, and games were introduced outside of childhood knowledge, such as wizard chess, and racing, Maxim took great care to learn the strategies of said games, and find the best way of working the game into his favour. Whether that was taking advantage of a bathroom break to shift pieces, using spells or potions, under the table, or using his brother as an accomplices in his schemes. Once he was old enough to play quidditch, he adapted the same style of playing as his father, sneaking less than fair plays into rounds, and for the most part, getting away with it. It was rather simple, pay attention to the officials, and wait for the right moment. If Maxim ever lost, it wasn't going to be because he let it happen, rather he would blame said failures on his teammates rather than his own actions. So to say the least, this skill of foul play isn't just a mannerism that Maxim picked up, but rather a way of living, and playing he was taught.[/reducio]
CHARMER
[reducio]Maxim was always a good looking guy. As a child he was often called, by other moms, the cutest little boy they ever did see. It was something that Maxim held over his brother, the fact that he was so instantly likeable, and sought out by people. Not that his brother by any means was ugly, but he just didn't have the same blesses way with words, and navigating social situations like Maxim did. It may have come from his father, who himself was also quite the charmer, but even Maxims mother would say that Maxim surpassed the level of charm that his father possessed. Perhaps it wasn't all due to his looks, though he was quite the looker, but Maxim had a way with words. He is the type of guy that knows how to appear as though he is listening, and make the person feel heard. He knows how to work a crowd, and to pull people on to his side in nearly any argument. A moment that sticks out in his life, was when he was 7 years old. A friend in the neighbourhood had been given a beautiful family brooch, with golden leaves that decorated the center piece of a dazzling diamond. The girl that owned this brooch wore it everywhere, and of course in doing so, made Maxim want it even more. He was able to talk down the beauty of it, even going as far to say it was a worthless trinket that seems like it was a last minute thought to give to her, rather than choosing a gift that would really make her feel special. His charms and persuasion over the girl, convinced her that this family brooch was worthless, and that she no longer wanted it. Maxim offered he take it off her hands, so she wouldn't get in trouble for not wanting it. Feeding her a fake story about how she lost it, and desired another family heirloom to replace it. All while he took this brooch for himself. There is something about the way Maxim speaks that just makes sense, no one can resist his charm or reasoning, and he often uses it to his advantage, whether that is to make friends, get what he wants, or avoid trouble. Most would say that Maxim was cursed with this ability, but he would rather look at it in a very different light.[/reducio]
ADVANCED CASTING
[reducio]Maksim was a boy that lived under many strict rules. His father raised him and his brother to be nothing but the best wizard they could be. Such a high standard that is nearly unattainable for only a boy of age 13. But he tried his best to live up to such a standard his father set out.

The boy lived a life of nothing but pressure. Pressure to uphold the family name, to follow in his fathers footsteps as a great Quidditch player. Pressure to never fail, or fall behind. To be a beckon of perfect pure-blooded skill. At home Maksim only did school work in front of his father, learning more, testing himself, and proving he knew plenty spells and tricks, potions, and whatnot. Trying to keep from being questioned, or looked down upon. Nothing feared the boy than the disappointing glare from his father. But at school, when teachers were not around, or his father wouldn't know, Maksim would take out his pent up frustrations, and pressure from always having to be the best of the best. He would take the skills and knowledge he built up, and use it for chaos, anything to relieve the never ending stress of "do better". or "Be better".

In his pursuit of making his father proud, and also looking out for his own personal interest of being a beckon of chaos rather than perfection, in the eye of his dad, Maksim had taking on advanced spell casting, just another added power behind what he does. It wasn't really his first choice, but with what seemed like less effort on his part, it was enough to make his father proud. Anything with advanced in the title must be impressive, at least that is what Maksim had thought, and based on his father's reaction, it would seem that being a better caster would be what he should aim for this year, so the boy took on the further training over the summer. Reading books above his age, taking many nights out with his brother to practice, all in order to make his father proud, and give him a little edge to his spells. Within no time, he was seeing some great improvement with his casting. Words were spoken clearer, and his wand movements rarely missed. He had done what he set out to do, obviously, he never doubted himself for a second. Because Maksim was a Levin, and Levin's never quit.[/reducio][/reducio]
[reducio]The boy was someone that people liked at Koldovstoretz- pleased his dad with his good grades- and tried his hardest in every single thing that he had done. And yet, he seemed to be a class favorite. He didn’t know what it was like in the higher years, but he was definitely liked, and his first year – even if he wore a shark costume. Maybe it was a gift, that he didn’t know he had it. But he knew of his popularity. It was a good feeling, not having people talking bad things about you behind your back. He wasn’t the most popular – hence him not being lively enough for that. But he was there to partake in the fun. To help keep the fun going. He was there for happiness.[/reducio]

Core- Thestral Tail Hair
[reducio]He could remember that fateful day that his mother died. Everybody was sending letters to remind of the tragedy and he just wanted to throw the letters in the trash. He felt like it was his fault his own mother died. Yet he knew that a part of him acknowledged that it was going to happen. It’s probably so sad and so sensitive. He has never talked about it before, but he knew – that he should’ve gone with his mother that day – to the grocery store. And when he got notified of the death- he sat – and stared blankly at the wall in his room, feeling like he was at fault for this. He was miserable- but was there to live if he just focused on one person's stuff. He knew someone died every day. There is no evading the Grim Reaper. Taking a breath, he felt that connection. He reverberated through his soul, and she knew that someday in his future – he would be – likely working for more work. he desired do you help identify bodies to give satisfaction knowing that today's children, mothers, fathers, dead friends would want to know what happened, especially if it was a brutal murder. He didn’t want them to be left hanging, wondering what happened to their loved ones. He had a drive to identify what had once held him captive in a very long sense of thought, the only road that he had ever called home.[/reducio]

Wood- Elder
[reducio]His eyes were on her brighter at the site of the wooded that everybody seems to fear called elder. It was magnificent, and he began to feel a deeper connection to it than he had ever had before with his previous wand. Admittedly he felt just a teeny tiny bit ashamed. He picked it up, and felt quite a bit of expectations from it. He felt like he was tied to the crushing history of his very young school. Vladislav would notice that he flipped out a little, but knew that over time, he would likely learn to master it. It was a little hard to control himself, but learning how to control himself is probably the best way to go. [/reducio]

Flexibility- Sturdy
[reducio]Sturdiness was a bit more complicated, as he didn’t fully comprehend it, but he realized that it would be the fact that he has the ability to keep his word, to put up with more people, to be more ‘to the point.’ It was his potential that he would get better over time. He hopes that one day in the future, he’s acknowledged for his dedication- his patience- and his time/efforts.[/reducio]
[/reducio]

LOVELY CREATURE[reducio]The prettiest being to ever exist. That was Vladislav. Obviously. Surely people would just date him and just go out with him no matter how bad he really was. But that was probably a delusion. He was probably delusional, hyperfixating on something that likely wouldn't have existed in the world. Surely he had people that liked him though... right? Surely he wasn't hated every step of the way right?

He was nowhere nearly as bad as that boy he met in the Maze- what was his name- Clark? He wished that Clark would just keep his hands off the boy he deemed the knight.

He loved him with a passion, but that didn't mean that the same was true in return.

"Listen up, my dearie." He said to himself in the mirror. "You're a hero. You're gorgeous. Look at your black hair. It's absolutely a wonderous part of our world. Of course, even if you had dyed it brown, which I had done before I went to the Ball at Hogwarts." A smile creeped onto his face and proved him to be worthy, at least in his own eyes.

"Listen. You are your own hero. You will be the superb person that everyone will know. Believe in yourself, don't condone yourself to a life strictly revolving around being cruel to someone. You aren't that person. You can be loved. Love yourself first." He looked on in the mirror with a bigger smile on his face, like he started to wean towards that belief that he truly meant something in this world.

And that was the way he wanted it to be. He decided he would put his own confidence to the test when he would just gracefully walk out through the corridors of Koldovstoretz, his home sweet home. With a southern accent, he looked at the boy and potentially his friend walking through the corridors, nearly passing him. "Hey there sweet thing. Ты такой умный! Мне нравится твой стиль. Хотели бы вы... Пойти со мной на свидание?" [revelio]You're so cute! I like your style. Would you like to... go out on a date with me?[/revelio]

He meant well. All he did was ask a random stranger walking by him in the corridors if he wanted to go out with him. The boy seemed to have hesitated, and it began to give Vladislav the feeling that he was faltering. That he wasn't quite as handsome as he wanted others to believe. But, the boy spoke up and it woke Vlad from the doom and gloom he was beginning to feel.

"Y-you're pretty. Yes, I will go out with you!" The boy said, responding to Vlad.

Vlad had no choice but to embrace the happiness inside him. "YES! I knew I was- I mean." He said, trying to make himself sound professional. "Shall we eat outside underneath the tree?"

"Anything for my beautiful soul, what gorgeous hair you have- your eyes, they're spellbinding! I'm sure you're absolutely talented in any and every step of the way, and I have to say, I'm happy to see you finally come out of your shell, since... I always thought you were pretty, potentially the prettiest out of everyone in Koldovstoretz."

And it made Vladislav feel rejoice. He just needed a simple self-pep talk in the mirror just to positively influence his brain. He was always a form of a lovely creature, and that was him in a brief little nutshell. [/reducio]
[/reducio]
Credit: Draven Mirador
Evasive Maneuvers[reducio]Kolya is almost always on the move. Seeming to struggle with staying still for long amounts of time, he's always keeping tabs on his surroundings as his attention flits about. It's become apparent over the years that it's hard to catch the boy by surprise. Paired with his diminutive height when compared with his peers, many have come to learn just how hard it can be to catch him unawares. Growing up he would always join his friends in various iterations of muggle sports, though his favorites always trended towards football or games of tag. Though not as physically fast as some of the others, he was always fairly adept at dodging or feinting around them to get away.

When he first came to Koldovstoretz at age 9, he found that he needed to find some sort of outlet for the seemingly boundless energy so as to not annoy any of the school staff. At least on a consistent basis, that is. As such, he's taken up the habit of jogging about the island on school grounds to burn off energy when he's particularly restless. The boy has come to find a sense of relaxation with the practice as he can generally allow his thoughts to clear out for a time. And, like just about any young boy, he's done his best to make the task into some form of game. Be it taking the time to leap between the rocks along the shore of the lake to mapping his own strange, winding path through the small patches of forest, the laps are never quite the same.

As small and nimble as he is, Kolya does his best to use it to his advantage when given the chance. Whether in the various games he's taken to enticing others into, or opportunistically sneaking away from staff when they're distracted, the boy finds a sense of satisfaction in the act. Being able to duck away from undesirable situations has always served the boy well in his short life so far. Despite having endured some forms of teasing for his height, the reality of it has never truly bothered him. As agile as the boy is, his observation certainly help to embellish his elusiveness. A sharp eye has saved his hide many a times. He's grown fairly adept at anticipation when it comes to his movements, years spent observing the people around him and taking note of body movement. He entertains the belief that he's become rather adept at discovering the various tells that other people exhibit from time to time. [revelio]428 words[/revelio][/reducio]

Non-Human Enthusiast
[reducio]The anxious bouncing of Nikolai's leg beneath the desk went unnoticed as the boy poured over the worn tome before him. Scrolls and books covered the wooden surface on both sides. The collection was haphazardly displayed, some an errant brush away from toppling to the floor where others lay abandoned halfway through use. The only sounds to fill the quiet of the room were the dying crackles of a long forgotten fire and the gentle scratching of a quill on parchment.

The scene would have seemed farfetched mere months ago. Tucked away indoors, reading and taking notes? Not his usual activity of choice by any means. The sound of the quill pauses, followed moments later by a weary sigh. Nikolai takes a moment to roll his shoulders and stretch his neck from one side to the next, returning the quill to the inkwell for the time being. The newly freed hand lifts to absently rub at the side of his jaw. Nothing explicitly felt out of the ordinary, but he knew a mirror would reveal a slightly different story.

Hogwarts had far more closely resembled the admittedly outlandish stories of the school than he had initially given credit for. And the experience with the Hexwizard Tournament had left him far more hesitant when it came to the school of half-breeds. Where stories of monsters and beasts that haunted the Scottish grounds had once been dismissed as nothing more than myths for the purists of magical society, a seed of doubt had finally been planted within the young boy.

The anxiety and doubt that bloomed from the experience drove the boy towards previously unexplored territory. Voluntary research. Weeks of it, in fact. Nikolai had scoured the Russian grounds for as many resources as he could get his hands on. Books on magical creatures, scrolls recounting historic encounters with some of the more bestial races, tales of the strange unions of man and the 'monsters' of wizarding society. Stacks of parchment and notebooks slowly filled up the space at his bedside as he took note of anything deemed potentially important.

While the subjects themselves were objectively interesting on their own, he was quick to discover the process of researching and taking notes helped to ease some of the newly discovered, ever-present anxiety that seemed to follow him post-tournament. Nikolai would never say he regretted the experience. If anything, it was surprisingly eye opening. But he had certainly gone in unprepared to a rather extreme degree.

Twisting once more in his chair to try and ease some of the tension that had built up over however long he'd been lost in his notetaking, Nikolai retrieves the quill. Tired eyes turn back to the text before him as the ink-stained tip returns to the page. He was determined to not be caught off guard when he inevitably found himself back at school of half-breeds. The scratching of the quill resumed. [revelio]486 words[/revelio][/reducio]

Personality: Irya isn't much of talker and can often seem distant or lonely, but once you get to know him, he is lots of fun and enjoy making sarcastic comments and mocking people he dislikes. He is incredibly loyal and will do pretty much anything for a friend - but can be very specific as to who becomes his friend. One flaw for him is impulsiveness.

History:
Reducio
Irya was born to parents Aleksei (born 1980) and Kira (born 1984), in Kazan, Russia, on the 12th of October 2011. Both of Irya's parents had attended Koldovstortez when they were younger, however out of all his grandparents, only one had.

He grew up in a small village nearby to the city and was home schooled from the age of 6 by his mother alongside a girl from another wizarding family in the area, Yeva. Irya started playing martial arts at the age of seven, and still plays now under the tutoring of his father.

After a few years of school, it would become clear that academic studies and Irya did not go well together - his reading and writing were abysmal to the point where his parents found it nigh on impossible to teach him, and so hired a tutor, when he was 8, to finish off his early studies before he would be unquestionably sent off to Koldovstortez, as all wizards in the area did.

His first instance of magic came about one night - he was nine years old - when he was in bed with the lights out. That day, the tutor had forced him to read lots, and the stress of it had crept into his thoughts. Suddenly, the drawers to the side of the bed flung open. Over the course of the next year or so, these random events continued until his parents noticed.

On the 24th of May 2021, Irya's little sister, Sasha, was born and from there, not much Irya did was noticed by their parents, since Sasha was 'the golden child' and all her needs appeared to take a huge priority over Irya's. This often gave them the feeling of loneliness, especially when Yeva moved away to another part of the country.

As well as martial arts, Irya was always interested in duelling, since it was a wizards' sport and not a muggle one like all those that he'd grown up around.

PENDING - Marcus, March 27

History - you wrote that Irya "was home schooled from the ages of 6-8 by his mother." and then went on to write "After a few years of school...hired a tutor to finish off his early studies" Meaning he got a tutor after the age of 8? But then go on to describe his first magic taking place at age 6 and he already had a tutor. Basically, the timeline of his homeschooling to tutoring doesn't line up with the story of his first magic. Please go back and correct the ages so there is consistency, then we can get the character approved!

Nikolai lets out a huff of air as he allows his posture to relax, arms dropping back to his side. The hand gripping his wand loosens slightly as he stares across the short distance to the marred trunk of a dead tree. The boy stretches his neck to the left, and then to the right with a wince. He stands there for a moment longer in quiet consideration before allows himself to drop down to the ground and stretch out in the grass.

The teenager is quiet as he gazes at the cloudy sky above. The light was already beginning to dim for the day, the passage of time something he'd barely noticed since setting out for his impromptu training session. While not exactly an unknown destination amongst the student population, the area was secluded enough near the east side of the village to serve its purpose. It was only his third time coming out here, but each time had been...strangely calming. It was easier for him to find his center, or whatever the instructors had called it.

Niko had always had an aspiration to make it into Group 5 once he came to age. Though he had managed, it was only just barely. And it had been a struggle ever since. There were always other students who were better than him, always someone who came out just ahead. And though he could admit that he had never been the best when it came to dueling, or spellcasting in general, that fact had never been more apparent than it now was. A fact that he was eager to correct. And so, for the past three days now, he had dragged himself out to this stump to continue his training until he was confident he he had whichever spell he was struggling with down. It was exhausting after an already exhausting day of training, but the boy was nothing if not stubborn.

Huffing out a sigh, Nikolai rolls himself off his back to push to his feet once more. He rolls up the sleeves of his rubakha and takes up position across from the tree once more. He takes a moment to roll out his shoulders before assuming a dueling stance. A few seconds are taken correcting himself with small adjustments while he tries to center himself. With a step forward and a flick of his wrist, a spell collides with the wood once more.

For any person of a certain social status, for any pureblood wizard of a certain social status especially, being the first son of the first son of a high-ranking family comes with a certain expectation of perfection. A high expectation of perfection, which Yasha seems to achieve flawlessly, much to the annoyance of his cousins, who are constantly compared to Olexei's brilliant sun spot.
For his entire childhood, Yasha was under the weight of this expectation of perfection, and he was taught that it was his job to show the world that the Volkovs are a superior family and that his are superior parents. Anything he chooses to do could reflect on his family, so he must show perfect manners, perfect poise, perfect hygiene and style, perfect social skills, and perfect grades. It is a thing that Yasha takes great pride in and loathes in equal measures.
From the moment he could walk and talk, not one expense was spared for his political, social, or magical education. He had various tutors who taught him in various subjects, including languages, mathematics, politics, manners, and etiquette, and Yasha would learn and practice until he had mastered each and every one of his lessons. There was no room for less than one hundred and ten percent.
While Yasha seems to achieve the perfection his parents desire flawlessly, it isn't exactly a breeze behind closed doors. No one, not even his parents, know which areas Yasha struggles in because Yasha refuses to let it show.
Yasha is perfectly obedient, perfectly polite, perfectly well kept, and perfectly social when he is expected to be. His grades at Koldovstoretz are high and his magic is precise, as is expected of Olexei's oldest son. As far as Yasha is concerned, there is no room for error when it comes to his parents expectations, so he works especially hard to maintain those perfect expectations, whether his cousins, parents, and acquaintances see this work or not.
This means that if he is struggling with something: a potion, a spell, an interaction, he works hard to no longer struggle and even master that thing and then presents as if it was effortless. He has spent long hours combing through books and techniques and lessons in order to do the things he is expected to flawlessly. No room for error, no room for less than, no room but to be the very best at everything he puts his hands on.

Perfectionist 2 - WC 435/400

Yasha is the perfect son. His father's shining sun and his mother's pride and joy. From the outside, Yasha Olexeievich Volkov is everything every parent could dream of: perfect manners, perfect obedience, perfect grades. He is able to navigate his parents political and social world flawlessly, and he is skilled in everything he puts his hands on because he put in the work to be skilled in everything he puts his hands on until he masters it.
His parents' political friends fawn over the handsome and well-bred, intelligent boy Olexei and Alonya have and how any family would be proud to have him as their son and proud to have him as their son-in-law. This last bit said with a fair amount of implication and polite laughter all around; he is becoming a man after all.
What his parents and all of their flashy friends don't see is Yasha's mischievous side, his couldn't-care-less-about-the-social-games side, his let's-get-this-over-with-and-go-home side. A secret side, which he maintains with as much attention to detail as his perfect son persona.
This mirror Yasha is like a shadow son. Just like Olexei's shining son, each word and conversation is precisely chosen for a gain or a benefit, but to Yasha's benefit. Each action is decided based on carefully but quickly thought-out pros and cons. Will this be fun for him? Will this give him some kind of advantage over someone else? Will this interaction bite him in the butt in the end? No room for error, no room for less than. If his interaction isn't perfectly to his benefit or someone's detriment, then it is not worth having.
This Yasha is intensely perceptive from watching his parents play the political game. He is a practiced judge of character and motive, and he has become very good at reading people. He sees his life at this point as a perfect chess game, and each movement is perfectly calculated for him to win in the end.
This shadow Yasha is still a product of his parents teachings, but a less visible product. Olexei is a shrewd man who has brought his family far by playing the Russian political game well; why wouldn't his son be the same?
It is a delicate balance to maintain who Yasha is and who Yasha displays himself to be, but he does so with a practiced precision that only a perfectionist can achieve. If he wasn't careful of every move he and everyone around him were making, he might slip and ruin his perfect son reputation, and that would mean he couldn't do what he wanted behind the scenes.

One of the good things about having a lot of cousins all living in the same place was that all of the Volkov children got to play together and playing together meant Quidditch. Whenever there was a good day and nothing to do, the Volkov children would run outside to play Quidditch together. The Volkov children were the best team in the world, well, according to them. That is, unless you were talking about the other Volkov children, because they were the best by far. It was a cousin rivalry to last the ages. Every single cousin was in on it, even if it was just to bring water and tell the parents that the official game had started.
At the general insistence of the children, the Volkov’s had built a downsized version of a quidditch practice grounds near the back of the Dacha for them to play on. Olexei, Yasha’s father, and his siblings had convinced their father that they weren’t using the back field for anything besides picnics and outside lessons anyway, so why not use it for sports. The family eventually had enough children for them to consistently have two teams to play with and there was many a game between them all, especially during the holidays when everyone was home.
Yasha’s father had been on Koldovstoretz’ team as a beater during his time there and he was highly supportive of the whole family playing quidditch. He had bought practice dummies, actual brooms, and a magical device that would shoot quaffles at Yasha so that he could practice when he was alone. Because of all this, a fair amount of Yasha’s free time was spent on the family pitch. Even when all of the other children were at Koldovstoretz, Yasha would practice his Keeper skills and strategies.
Yasha was always keeper for the red team. Being the tallest, oldest, and fastest of the Volkov children had many advantages on and off the field. One of the best things about being the oldest and the tallest was that he had the longest reach and therefore could intercept the quaffle easier than everyone else. All he had to do most of the time was sit in the middle and reach out a long, slender arm to bat the ball away from the goal posts.
Being the oldest also meant that he was the fastest, had been playing the longest, and had had more time to practice, so he was better at being keeper than everyone else. He could easily snatch the ball out of the air and throw it a significant distance across the pitch to his own chasers. He was also skilled and a little bit ruthless enough to snatch the ball and peg the blue team's chaser with it. He’d practiced it enough times to where the ball would hit them squarely in the chest or the side, dazing them a bit, bounce off their bodies, and go soring through the air to be caught by his own chaser.[/reducio]

Fearless
Reducio
The Russian went home in the Summer of 2022, constantly reminiscing about when he were abducted by a cluster of Durmstrangian boys and he couldn't help but get randomly hypothetically, thinking about the possibility of it being someone it shouldn't be. In the first place, he should not have been abducted, especially not from his bed in the middle of the night. It would linger in his mind every night, to the point where he couldn't stop thinking about it as it made his heart race and beads of sweat pour down his forehead. He felt that maybe it was that feeling that people would have when they're surrounded by spiders or clowns, worry strikes and the worst case scenario plays through their heads.

More or less, Edward was afraid, feeling like his abduction was a form of trauma, leading to dreamless nights and a feeling of insecurity. Anyone could just go into his house and abduct him, the Durmstrang kids were proof of that. According to his dad one morning when they had breakfast, his father heard him crying out- "No please! NO NOT ME!" and of him begging to stay. His dad walked out only to make a call to the therapist.

Talking in his sleep was never something that Edward had done, so he was a little curious about why that happened. When his dad had scheduled the appointment, he went in to talk to them, trying to help find the root of the problem.

He recalled hearing one of the boys in the group demanding for his arm to be broken, people ganged on him over his little innocent trash talking of one of their members, Greta, and lightning struck nearby. Talking to the therapist about this only made him want to cry. Maybe she wasn't a superb therapist, perhaps a quack, but he thought her pointing out that he developed a fear because this experience made him feel powerlessness as his wand was taken away from him, he was taken against his own will, and he was threatened.

Well, he knew that already, and his way of coping with it was through his hate for Durmstrang, it grows livid the more he thought about it. Yes, he was afraid of an abduction, but who started it? Who put that fear into him? What would he need to think about just to avoid that fear? Every night, he wrote down in his book his thoughts about those who wanted his arm broken, who took his wand, who wanted him to suffer. It sidetracked him from the possibility of feeling a loss of power, or being taken away from his safety. All he needed to think about was those boys getting what the worst of Karma one day for what they did to him.

---

Every day, he would work out. (OC: he has an 11 in strength at the time of writing this) Lifting weights and doing squats and whatnot just to try and make sure that he was no longer powerless, that he could use his strength to knock them out of the way and to leave him the hell alone. Sure, by now he was stronger than the average kids his age, but he wasn't exercising and building muscle for a sport. He was going to be left alone and that was that.

There was no need to be afraid of another potential kidnapping, he was his own man, and one that was capable of taking care of himself. One can strip him of his powers but they can't strip him of his strength. He was going to fight back if it ever happened, fear can always be overcome once you face it head on. This was his way of facing it head on, as he was not going to attempt to get kidnapped again.

It looks like I am assuming this is not quite complete since the entire fearless app is about the fear induced by a traumatic event and how that fear effects your character, making them ultimately hate durmstrang. We have not reached the fearless part yet. Once this is finished, we will re-check.

Fearless application is still on hold for the above reasons mentioned by Lear. It only talks about how Edward got his fear, it does not talk about him becoming fearless.
