League of Aspirant Animagi IC Closed

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
She would be excited to become any animal, as long as it doesn't fly. She has a big personality, but feels that she might become something small as she is small herself, and often the smallest creatures have the biggest personalities. She thinks she'll be something fluffy because of her warm and loving personality.
(right now I'm thinking Pine Marten, but that might change)

Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
She absolutely adores all animals, except spiders, and wants to become an animagus to help her explore the natural world (she wants to be a magiczoologist when she's older) as some animals are wary of humans, so as an animagus she'd be able to experience what being an animal is like and bond with animals.

What do you hope to get from this group?
Estelle would love to learn more about animagi, an hopefully eventually become one!

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Probably a type of moth! Currently considering a Celestial Moon Moth but subject to change as plots develop.

Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Sage has always loved exploring nature from a young age. While butterflies are generically favoured over most insects, Moths look quite bizarre and otherworldly. They also go through metamorphosis which to me symbolizes change and rebirth. Sage will go through many changes over the course of her stay in Hogwarts so I think having a moth as an animagus form is quite fitting. Actually, Sage has not thought of becoming an animagus yet, but I believe she must've heard about the super complicated process from someone and that got her really intrigued!

What do you hope to get from this group?
Yes to all! I'm always up for fun plots so I'm curious as to how this club might affect Sage's character development. I'd also love to expand Sage's network of friends. Having an animagus (hopefully) character is a bonus, too!

The next League trip has launched! Ride along with us Where the Wild Things Are

About - Members received an owl from Pericles inviting them on a club field trip over winter break. He is covering the expenses of a trip to Ireland. There, our aspirants will have the opportunity to take a trail ride through a forest, seeing wildlife up close and personal. They'll be chaperoned by his grandmother, Tamasa.

Attendees will arrive in a mutual meeting place: a witch's ranch with the shore to the East and woods to the West. They can arrive via the Floo network to her home, or a Portkey in the Leaky Cauldron. Your character can be dropped off by someone, but can't bring others along for the ride (no friends, family, etc). If your OC's guardian wants meet Tamasa before allowing this trip, let me know and we'll work something out 1x1.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Avian, definitely, a bird of prey, but that's all Archer knows IC. OOC, there is a high chance that it will be a peregrine falcon. However, there might also be a chance that it would be an arachnid instead: some sort of scorpion. This will vary depending on how his storyline develops but for IC purposes avian will suffice for now.

Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Which child had never wanted to fly before? Archer, who had grown out of his fear for flying in his second year, is eagerly awaiting the possibility and thrill of flying without a broom. Traditionally, falcons were symbols of swiftness and speed, but more importantly, also ambition, vision, and aggressiveness as a hunter. Archer hopes to become an Animagus in order to follow the footsteps of his mother, whom he greatly admires.

What do you hope to get from this group?
Archer is taking more risks in his second year and one of them with socialisation, branching out and networking. He already trusts Pericles and his interest in Animagi draws him in. He joins out of curiosity and willingness to learn more about becoming an Animagus.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Aston wants to be some kind of mammal, he finds them to be nice and interesting, even the aquatic mammals though he thinks he will probably be some kind of small land mammal. OOC I'm thinking he could be an American badger

Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Aston wants to know everything, he thinks being able to see things from the perspective of animals is cool as heck and will be very interesting. He wants to know, he always did liked animals. Aston doesn't really know what kind of animal he will be, he just hopes it will be one he likes a lot but he doesn't mind.

What do you hope to get from this group?
Aston wants to learn more about being an animagi and just learn more in general. He thinks this will be a nice way to socialise with people that either share the same goal as him or already did achieve it and he can be more prepared.

This group is closed indefinitely. I can't say when or if I'll resume it again, but Pericles will be around for a couple more years if anyone needs an animagus guru. Thank you all for the memories and experiences!
