ABILITIES.
EVASIVE MANEUVERS.[reducio]"Ow!" Sébastien rubbed his head while eyeing up the tennis ball that was rolling away from his body. It stopped after a while and lodged itself into the snow as the boy turned around to see his grandfather laughing at him. It was a wonder why they had decided to play tennis on a early February snow day. Normally, they would be sat inside with a book or two drinking hot chocolate and warming their bodies against the fire they had but they just had to go outside on the coldest day yet.

The young child crossed his arms while huffing and shaking his head. Then he pulled his gloves off and signed "Why did you do that?" His grandfather shook his shoulders and grinned before picking up another tennis ball and reaching his arm backwards to throw it towards his grandson. Sébastien closed his eyes waiting for the impact but it never came. He stood there for a while just shivering while trying to figure out if he just didn't feel it or his grand-father had a terrible shot.

Slowly, he opened one eye and looked down to see he had moved. Berry did not recall moving and was very confused. He looked up and signed again, "Did I move?" while his grand-father nodded his head wildly and walked over towards the pile of tennis balls they had made. There was around twenty there and another ten scattered around the tennis. Sébastien's grandmother had also been out with them for a while but had gone back inside due to her back problems leaving the boys to play by themselves.

As soon as he saw another ball heading for his head, Sébastien jumped out of the way and ran to the other side of the court. "Are you trying to take my head off or something?" He signed and shook his head before letting out a chuckle. His grandfather did always have a reason behind his methods so Sébastien did not push on any further and continued to look out for any yellow/green balls of fluff flying his way.

His grandfather quickly took off his gloves and replied moving his hands at a rapid pace, "I'm preparing you." He then proceeded to pick up two balls and chucked one in the air before catching it again. "What for?" Sébastien inquired before ducking as one zoomed past him. His grandfather laughed again and picked up his racket.

"What's he doing now? Is he really trying to kill me?" Sébastien whispered under his breath while shaking his head. It was getting colder by the minute and he was determined to not get hit by his grand-father. If someone was walking past and say him get a tennis ball to the face they for sure would laugh and go tell everyone on the street. What a humiliation that would be!

John (his grandfather) smiled and threw a ball into the air while swinging the racket with all his might and hit the ball in the direction of Berry. Even with the air resistance slowing the ball down ever so slightly, if it hit Sébastien he knew a bruise would form. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath taking in his surroundings and ran out of the way before the ball clipped his ear.

"Good lad." His grandfather signed as he nodded his head and then grabbed the rest of the tennis balls from the floor while beckoning his grandson over. "That's not the last time we will be doing that, Son." John let out a small laugh and continued, "I want to see you grow up to be someone who can evade attacks. Not be the attacker."

"But why would I need to do that Grandpa?" Sébastien questioned looking towards the floor. He knew the exact answer to that and did not need to hear the answer as his mind suddenly flew to the instance a few weeks beforehand where a few boys had thought it would be funny to throw rotten food at him. It had really been Sébastien's fault though. He was the one that had insulted a little girl and was the one who went around bragging about stuff. It was just good to be prepared. "Never mind, I think we should do it the same time next week."[/reducio]
COMPREHEND LANGUAGES - VEELA.
[reducio]Sébastien had always had a thing about learning. He thought that if knowledge was power than the knowledge of languages could grant him more power than he could ever even imagine. He had already learnt English because it was mandatory to know it however learning Standard Sign-Language for France was something he had done as an extra-curricular activity and he had excelled in it immensely.

That wouldn’t stop him to try and learn another language. Maybe even something that was part of his world. The Wizarding World. It would be a lot of fun to confuse people with his sign-language but imagine all the fun he could have when speaking in a language that hardly anyone knew. It would have to be one that someone would not know from the sound of it.

It couldn’t be Parsletounge as he would only be able to understand what they were saying and not be able to converse back. He had heard Mermish was not pleasant to learn but was defiantly useful underwater. He had even considered Troll, Giant or Gobbledegook. However, none of them fit what he wanted. Sébastien wanted something that sounded pleasing to the ear. Something that could be easy to learn and speak that did not make him bored half way through studying the language.

The only other one he could think of was Veela but that was even risky. To his knowledge, there were more Part-Veela’s emerging out of the ground every day. It was like the Full-Veela’s were trying to get rid of their species. Although, that did sound quite silly as Berry had the thought cross his mind. It would be useless to become extinct. What was the whole reason to do that?

Even though there was the high risk of being snitched on, Sébastien had decided if he wanted to learn a magical language it would have to be Veela. He had set off on a mission that he would no longer come back from until it was complete and finished. Once Berry had his mind set on something there was no power on earth that could stop him other than himself.

The journey was going to be a long one and it wasn’t going to be all on a flat surface either. There was defiantly going to be bumps and lumps along the way. It was just like anything else in life. Anything you want you have to work for. Sébastien knew it would take years to finally become a master at a language he knew nothing about but that wasn’t going to stop him. If he made it to the end that would result in more knowledge and maybe even a chance to pretend he was something he was not.

Leading up to his second year, Berry had studied hard learning the crooks and crannies of Veela. He should have focused more on his studies but had not cared about them in the slightest. The only thing he wanted was to be able to speak in more tongues than some people could imagine. It had nearly taken him 6 years to understand the basics of it all and the only thing he needed to do was constantly use it for the next few months until it was drilled into his brain like a screw.[/reducio]

name: Celeste Félice Leblanc
dob: 4th January 2009
year: Second
school: Beauxbatons
nationality: French
gender: Female
blood status: Pureblood
mbti: ENTJ
enneagram: 3w4
amortentia: wet ink, freshly fallen berries in snow
polyjuice: freezing cold, with a not unpleasant hint of sour berry
appearance:
Tall, slender and incredibly pretty, people are often surprised to find Celeste has no Veela blood. Her hair is a very light blonde, almost silver, and her skin is just as pale. Celeste looks like the archetypal snow queen, and, with her ice-cold temperament, her personality isn't far off that, either. Celeste takes great pride in her appearance, though she doesn't wear much make-up. Instead, she wears long, flamboyant dresses most of the time, even in winter when it is freezing - she seems to be immune to cold. Celeste stands relatively tall for her age, at 5'4", though this height is usually boosted by the tall heels she often wears.
Image
Image
personality:
Celeste has very few friends and prefers to keep to herself in all walks of life. The few relationships she does have are very intimate, and revolve less around socialising and more around holding onto each other's darkest secrets. It is very difficult to become friends with Celeste - and many would much rather not - but once you are her friend, you are her friend for life and very little can break that. Celeste has a very serious attitude, and hates humour in any form. She puts a great importance on dignity and posture, and is determined to keep her pristine sense of identity, though there are many who dislike her. Incredibly ambitious, Celeste always has her mind on the future, caring very little for events of the past. Nobody really knows what Celeste gets up to in her free time - there are a number of theories surrounding this - but it is known that she is an exceptional linguist and an even better artist, and even with all the practice in the world it's difficult to see how she got so far. She is also a very precise spell-caster. However, Celeste puts very little effort into the subjects she doesn't care much for, and frequently makes terrible grades in subjects such as Herbology.
Image
history:
Celeste was born in 2009 to a mysterious pureblood family hidden in the innermost folds of the French Alps. Publicly, very little is known about her family, and Celeste never speaks about them. Because of this, many rumours circulate about her family - both in school and out in wizarding France - many of which Celeste is unaware of.

In reality, Celeste has lived a relatively simple - though stately - life. The youngest descendent of the famed Leblanc family, a long line of French purebloods, Celeste grew up in the Château del Cristal - the Crystal Mansion, one of the largest houses in France. Though both her father, Obert Dionne Leblanc, and her mother, Élodie Hélène Reinenfant, were almost always in the house, they didn't see much of Celeste when she was a child, and most of Celeste's childhood was spent in the company of her Squib maid, Marie. Her family treated Marie awfully, and hearing obscenities like 'Mudblood' was commonplace in Celeste's household. Though Marie was always nice to Celeste, determined not to make her into a replica of her parents, the influence of the riches around Celeste was always too strong, and the young girl grew to resent her maid possibly even more than her parents. This led to her being very wary of people who said they were trying to help her, which is one of the reasons why she is such an independent person. Celeste has no siblings, and, as she was home-educated, she had no friends as a child. Upon entering Beauxbatons at 11, this made it even more difficult for her, as she didn't even know how to speak nicely with those her own age, let alone socialise and befriend them. This was not entirely the fault of her upbringing - having been reared mostly by Marie, Celeste should have had some sense of how to be nice. Instead, she left Marie's care with a sense of entitlement surpassing even her parents' (and embarrassing them somewhat).

When Celeste was around six, she began to drift from Marie and began to do her own things, which mainly included researching the topics which fascinated her - Celeste was never one to enjoy playing with toys. Celeste would spend hours in the libraries of the Château del Cristal, drinking in books and information to her heart's content - always information books, never fiction. When Celeste was eight, she was dismissed from Marie's care entirely, having been deemed old enough to do her own thing, and Marie was sacked from the Leblanc household. Nobody knows where she went next, but Celeste speculates that a lot of the rumours circling about her family were sparked by Marie out of spite.

Celeste first showed signs of magic very young, at the age of five. In fact, her very first instance of magic was directed, unfortunately, against her maid Marie - one day, when Marie tried to make her go to bed, her hair suddenly caught spontaneously on fire and most of it was burnt. The next day, Marie was bald, clumps of hair sticking out of her scalp at various angles, and she spend the next two years in wide-brimmed bonnets which Obert would force her to remove when he was angry with her. Instead of being ashamed of this incident, Celeste usually looks back on it with pride, and uses the story as a demonstration of her power.

Angél had come a long way from adventuring around her backyard and practicing dancing with her friends at school. Though that didn’t stop her from doing either of those things. Dancing was still a great way to keep limber and learn how the muscles in your body react to specific movements. It helped her while she flew, knowing that if she flexed her muscles in a certain way, she could maneuver herself through the tighter areas of the track.

Last year, her first opportunity came in October of 2020 to fly on a real track with real competitors. It had been exhilarating to be one of the ones to get through all the narrow passages, forest, and brambles completely unharmed. Not to mention bobbing around the other students who took off at the same time while casting spells. Her skill was impeccable, but if there was one thing that she had learned about Hogwarts was that it was chaotic, and the next race, she might not be so lucky.

Angél would push for Broom racing practices at school to be more rigorous. After all, they were known for having the best, so they needed to make sure that they were never dethroned. If that meant trying to propose harsher tracks to practice on and probably be declined, then so be it. It wouldn’t stop her from trying to weave in and out of the towers on their castle and anything else she could make into an obstacle.

During school, she rushed around more, taking tighter corners and running through the more crowded pathways. Finding out that she bumped into or had close calls with people less and less as time went on. Then came June of 2021, where she took her broom and zipped around the forest enclosed on her family's plot of land in the countryside. There were some injuries here and there that her father would take care of, but all in all, she was right, and her practice was really paying off.

Finally, what would seem like the last testament to practicing her skills was the official broom race in July of 2021. This time more racers were on the field than she remembered being some of them far more intimidating. While during this race, there were some bumps and bruises, she had made it a personal goal to get past the famous Whomping Willow unharmed, and she had done just that. Whipping past the dangerous tree and pulled into victory, being the raining champion in Broom Racing and bringing her team to glory. She felt unstoppable and untouchable.

Name: Castor Alarie
School: Beauxbatons
Year: 1st
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: She has long-short black hair, almond colored eyes, full, round lips, and a defined jawline. She usually wears things fairly formal, though definitely changed and styled to look more fashionable.

Reducio
Image
Personality: She’s a bit quiet, though certainly not in a shy way, she just doesn’t really talk unless she needs to say something. She prefers to indulge in her own interests or do things she actually wants to do, like research flowers or write by the fire rather than just try out new things or spread her wings, though if she finds someone she enjoys being around the same rules apply. She can be a bit rude, though isn’t actively trying to put others down, and will attempt to be polite if it will change any uncomfortable tension or awkwardness.
History: She was born into wealth and privilege, with a family of well known French people who were, just as Castor, born into money, and those before them, and before, and so on. Castor was raised with this, a mindset that said she would be exactly like those before her, attending parties and banquets wearing fine, rich silks and drinking from gold goblets. It became so normal, sometimes the girl forgot that not everyone lived this way. Even so, she tried to distance herself from the “petty rich girl” sort of path, and instead tried to find her own ways of bringing joy rather than by having it served to her, like by gazing at flowers in the backyard of her home and learning all she could about them or finding peace in strolls around the town.

Her mother and father are very serious, reserved people, who have inherited practically everything they own. They often find themselves farther away from their children with each stack of papers leaning dangerously off their desks. Her two older sisters and one older brother are determined to continue as those before them, although they can be very annoying and sibling-ly. Castor found herself almost always either in her room, at parties, or hiding away in the great backyard.

Her first instance of magic was during a tea party at a very bright, sunny manor with white wallpaper and an overuse of quartz. While attempting to sip from the floral china teacup held delicately in her hand, pinkie raised and stance sharp, the teacup barely reached her lips before turning incredibly cold, like the water in a river. Castor had placed the teacup down quickly, attempting not to seem indelicate as she struggled to swallow the cold tea. This wouldn't have been strange if it weren't that it was burning hot before, turning her fingertip a bright red shade at the mere touch. She never though much of it until it was mentioned later and her father exclaimed, quite happily so, that that was a first instance of magic, and it had most likely turned cold so as to protect her from burning her tongue. That was the brightest she had ever seen him.

Castor awaited attending Beauxbatons anxiously for all the years leading up to the moment, considering the outcomes of attendance. When the bold words of the Beauxbatons letter came on the pages of her mothers favorite book, she was sent away with nothing but the promises of success and a few large suitcases packed with the needed items. Upon arrival at the great school, Castor had begun studying almost immediately, trying to learn everything she could.

Castor always had a strange ability to sense what many others couldn’t. As a little toddler playing with blocks, she noticed that her nanny was slightly paler than usual, and looked like she was about to faint. As the little child inquired about this fact, her nanny patted her head and said she was just a bit tired. As a young girl, Castor didn’t really know what to do about it, so she simply stayed quiet. This was a minor case, but it didn’t seem anyone else in the great mansion had taken notice of it. Another instance was when her family was at a great banquet with another commonly known French family. Castor had been ushered away by her parents to go play with the other kids, and she did so. As they were wandering around the forest behind the house, most of them having obnoxious conversations comparing money and all that, Castor had seen something shift in the bushes. Pointing it out to the others, they ignored her and brushed it off as seeing things. But as a hissing sound had made its way to their ears, they ate their words. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Even if she never thought about it, others were quite keen on mentioning how peculiar it was that the girl could simply know when someone's life was in danger or when small changes were made. Some people would claim she was bluffing for attention she couldn’t receive from her parents. She didn’t really care what they thought, it was just second nature to the girl, and she didn’t mind it.

A plausible reason for her always being able to tell was that she wasn’t very out there or distracted. She was observant, whether she admitted it or not. She could tell who a person was by the sound of their footsteps or by the soft sounds of a skirt swishing or the jingle of a belt. It wasn’t a skill one really had to master, it just sort of happened the more she heard those sounds. She wasn’t loud or chatty, she was just there, and being there allowed her to be aware. She knew the shift in the air when someone was uncomfortable, or the joy in someone's eyes when they had a good day.

Once, her parents had nearly been poisoned at a Christmas party. The faint smell of almonds was emanating from their cups, and Castor, being taught how to keep from these kinds of situations happening, warned them quickly of the scent. They had to really get a good whiff to sense the almond, but when they did they were appalled, and immediately called out the host of the party. He was arrested shortly after that, and some respect was put on Castor’s name from her parents view, however small.

Name: Tiffany Lisa Golighty (pronounced like ‘goliddy’)
School: Beauxbatons
Year: First Year
Status: Pureblood
Appearance: Her light brown eyes are very large compared to the normal person, and added with her rosy cheeks and 4’2 frame, she is often mistaken for a young child. Her hair is a dark-reddish chestnut colour and changes from brown to red depending on the lighting. Her hair is almost always in pigtails tied with a pink bow. She sits and stands up extremely straight and like she may bolt at any moment. Her facial expression is usually kind but unreadable and does not change that often except when experiencing strong emotions.
When she is not in a school uniform, she often wears pastel colours and fluffy dresses. She is always seen with a pink bookbag that contains her People Journal where she records people’s personalities, looks, and mannerisms, Francis Rosegates’ poetry journal and her own poetry journal. And of course, it has her essential schoolbooks and items.
Personality:
Reducio
Tiffany Golighty is what others would call “sadistic”, though in Tiffany’s opinion and by technical definition, this did not fit her.
Despite her soft and kindly look that made others feel at ease and her first impression of being a soft-spoken young girl with a soft voice, people quickly would notice she was strange, and usually has a lot of say about fate, astrology, and philosophy in general. She does not seem to care about what others think and will say anything on her mind and is usually confused when people are cross about what she has to say. She also talks openly about topics that people would consider taboo such as death and what happens afterward, religion and human emotion, though she is very disinterested in politics. She is, in short, prone to making people feel uncomfortable.
She enjoys playing with small animals and acting like they could hear and understand her, and when people would question that, she would be confused. No amount of talking would convince her otherwise. When she was little she used to hurt them, though now if someone suggested it to her she would be quite horrified and probably avoid that person.
When she is older, she would like to become an Auror and face bigger threats. She loves the thrill of fighting and winning and especially loves losing. Humans are capable of many things and it is amazing to Tiffany when they show it.
Tiffany is not interested in anything concerning relationships and is fine with friendships. She admires her enemies and would be thrilled to fight with them, especially if they are fighting on pure anger.

History:
Reducio

Tiffany grew up in St. Malo, raised by her aunt on her mother’s side who was born in a wizard family. She wasn't sure what happened to her parents, but as she was quite accustomed to her life with her aunt, she barely asked.
Unfortunately, her aunt was a Squib, which made her unable to perform proper magic. Because of that, she always resented Sandy for her magical abilities and managed to convince Tiffany that she was also not a magic user, which worked for a while.
Tiffany later figured out during her younger years that her aunt lived up to her name. She had a seriousness that young Tiffany admired, and as a result Tiffany strived to be like her. She sat when her aunt told her to, she talked the way she did, she always listened to her. Aunt Trang was absolutely in love with poetry and plays and especially Shakespeare, and Tiffany later adopted that too- in fact, her aunt had a great impact on Tiffany and the way she presented herself, which Tiffany was grateful for.
Her aunt lived in an old multiple story house which contained many old letters written by a man named Francis Rosegates that Tiffany read everyday. It was like a museum! Everyday she would go into the attic and read them, and just in case they were destroyed or otherwise lost, she would write them down in a diary, keeping track of the letters and what they contained. There were lots of them too, due to the house being way over 200 years old and expensive and large.
Tiffany’s aunt brought her to a Muggle school when she was 7, though Tiffany quickly grew to dislike the school due to their constant need to make everyone in line and ‘normal’. But when Tiffany tried to explain the fact to her peers and teachers, she was always sent home due to ‘disrupting the class’. As a result, the young Golighty was picked on by the other children there.
Tiffany did not mind at first-they were simply children and she knew that they would not have an impact on her life- but finally snapped when a girl by the name of Ashley Jane Strongheider got her hands on Tiffany’s diary, and that was when her life turned upside down- in a good way.
Miss Strongheider managed to get the diary open and read it out loud in front of the children who had gathered in the bathroom before getting bored, deciding to waste perfectly fine parchment by flushing the pages down the toilet. Tiffany was upset and felt sad for Francis- his letters were beautiful and the opposite of boring and Strongheider had terrible taste in writing. As revenge, the Golighty girl threw a rock at her gorgeous bird after attending church and killed it, an atrocious act that Tiffany regretted every day of her life.
When Strongheider found out about her dead bird later on Monday and who did it, she screamed at Tiffany, “You stupid, useless freak! That’s IT!” and ran at Tiffany at top speed, understandably. Once the young girl hit the ground, all of the glass windows in the entire school exploded, causing the elementary schoolers to have to get stitches- all except Tiffany.
After that her aunt whisked her out of the school and angrily grumbled about “magic rubbing off on her’ which excited Tiffany. Tiffany and magic sounded like a world of possibilities to her, but her aunt thought otherwise. Until she turned 9, Aunt Trang was on a roll, sending Tiffany to a total of 4 Muggle schools before deciding that she was not a fit for any of them. She tried to resort to homeschooling, but Tiffany found multiple letters from a school offering to take Tiffany and saying that she’d go there in the fall.
This was just what she wanted! A chance to interact with people of her own kind. However, she knew that her auntie would be less than willing to bring her to the school, so she did something that her aunt vowed her not to do.
She acted like a child.
"Mother, can I accustomed ride the fun, cool brooms? Go to school? That's all i ask!" is all that Aunt Trang heard for a week straight. Literally 24/7. Tiffany would wake up and hit her aunt with pillows until she sent her back to bed. Two days before the other students departed to Beauxbatons, her aunt get mad and sent her there just to get her off her back.

Terrible Presence

Throughout generations and generations of Golighty's, they all had one thing in common- exceptional beauty and grace. It started with MaryLisa Golighty on her father’s side all the way back in the 1500s- she was described as having perfect, shiny black hair, perfectly pink cheeks, beautiful brown eyes that put people in trances- both male and female. The princes wanted to marry her. The princesses wanted to be her.
But Marylisa was not interested in desperate princes and longing princesses. She just wanted to live peacefully in her cottage with her domesticated cat Olive. But the king was insistent on making sure that she got married with his son. So to avoid public shaming, she did.
Soon enough, Marylisa had 3 children- two daughters and one son who were just as beautiful as their mother. But now she was miserable. The selfish prince expected her to follow every single one of his commands, including throwing out her poor, poor cat. But he was royalty, so she couldn't leave. She was known to the public as ‘the prince’s wife’ and she had to stay that way to protect herself.
It finally got to the point where he wanted to have even more children, which MaryLisa refused. Angry, he locked her up in the dungeons and declared her dead to the public.
Almost a week later, Marylisa, sick and starving, was released by a maid and was given food and water, and miraculously survived. She then made a plan with said maid to kill the prince. They served him some food with an overwhelming amount of foxglove used in it, and within days he was gone.
The king was devastated and demanded to know who had caused the king’s death, and the maid tried to rat Marylisa out. Luckily for Marylisa, she had already left the country and there was little to no proof that she did it, so he pinned it on the maid instead. By the time the real culprit was found, Mary and the maid were already long dead.
Unfortunately, this was a common theme among the Golighty women- murder/mutilation. Some were doing it for an actual reason, and some did it just for the thrill. Tiffany’s vow was to never become like them. Although she may be strange, she would never hurt a person, even if others acted like she would. They feared her, she could tell. Every time she entered a room, the conversation would quiet down and eyes would follow her, waiting for her to make her move. People stayed out of her way, whether she wanted them to or not.
Little did Tiffany know that she emitted what the others called “bad vibes”. Shadows seemed to follow her wherever she went, and people just knew that someone was wrong with her. And the most baffling part (at least to the others)? Tiffany never seemed to get why. She never walked around with weapons. And yet, her mere presence made people afraid.

Growing up with four older brothers who were all jealous of how their parents treated you was never going to be easy. As a young child, Florian stuck to the rules, no matter what they were doing, and his brothers would make fun of him or would easily take advantage of him. His parents, however, gushed over how such a lovely ‘petit garçon’ could also be quite the charming and sweet young boy, always the one to follow his parents every whim. As he reached age 9, he was beginning to get tired of always being the center of attention in his family, as well as the overbearing attitude of his parents. Something had to be done, he simply couldn’t stand being the goody-two-shoes ‘petit garçon’ anymore.

It was then he decided he would get back at his brothers and his parents. He would break the rules. That would show his brothers he had the ability to ‘stick it’ to his parents. Maybe he could finally be friends with them. When at home being tutored by his parents before attending Beauxbatons, he decided to put his new plan in action. The fastest way to be done with his homework was to cheat… then he could do whatever he wanted. When his parents weren’t watching, he would sneakily grab the page with the homework answers out of his parent's book to copy the answers on his homework sheet, and, more often than not, he was successful at it. While his parents would be upset with him when they did catch him, they tended to blame it on other things, such as his older siblings' influence on him. This just made Florian even more upset.

He decided that his next attempt at cheating would be something big. He knew he would be playing again with his brothers soon when they came back for the summer holiday, so he began to study all sorts of ways to become better at them at broom racing… and even the best ways to get around the rules. He was almost the best of them at flying, with all of the independent instruction his father had given him, and he was ready to put it all to the test. He casually suggested that they do a race out in the forests of their large estate one day and of course, his brothers were eager to prove they were better than him. Little did they know, the track that they typically raced on had been rigged for certain things to happen, as well as smaller areas were made to fit through than his older brothers could. This took Florian an entire day to set up, but it was well worth it. Of course, Florian ended up winning and he also managed to bump a few of his brothers around some while racing. One almost hit a tree! He was extremely proud of himself and his brothers were actually proud of him for tricking them so cleverly. Oh, they would still make fun of him for sure, but Florian earned a little bit of respect that day. From that day on, Florian knew it was not quite so much about skill, but about how you bent the rules in order to win. You can always get what you want if you break the rules….

2. Evasive Maneuvers
Reducio
Florian had always been a tad obsessive when it came to broom racing. As a child, he would set up racing tracks around their great estate - even before he could fly on a broom. The little waddling French boy would run his way through these tracks, dodging to and fro. But when he got old enough to fly, he and his brothers wanted to actually race on brooms. Being the littlest of his brothers, he could fit through spaces they couldn’t, and he would use this to his advantage - his cheating nature already exposed. However, as he got even older, this strategy didn’t work quite so well anymore, so he had to find other ways to become better at this.

Florian was not one to fail, and so the boy spent as much of his free time as he could working on ways to increase his evasiveness. This took many different forms: boxing with friends, spending time out on the Beauxbaton racing track, and even dancing. He figured that working on his agility and flexibility would be the best way to increase his evasion. The better and quicker you could move, the easier it would be to avoid things. As time went on, he began to hone these skills, even creating an agility type practice that he had dubbed ‘Broom Tricks.’ It was a mix of dancing, acrobatics, and flying, and it was now his favorite hobby, aside from actually racing.

Broom Tricks could be done both on the ground or in flight, but the focus was on not just being quick and nimble, but understanding gravity and your surroundings almost to the point of being able to sense something before it happens. It started off as an acrobatics type show performed on the ground; he would toss his broom into the air, spinning around underneath it before catching it and immediately tossing it back up again. He would toss the broom up from his left hand, dodge quickly underneath, and then grasp it with his right, leaving no seconds to pause before beginning to twirl the broom around him, continuing to do this non-stop for as long as he could before he became tired, or before he eventually ended up dropping it.

Practicing this kind of thing over and over gave him the understanding of gravity; how as his broom would fall, he could sense it, and know where it was in relation to him, and grab it quickly. This helped in the air as well. He has a much better sense of his personal bubble, and could now glide closely to an object without touching or bumping into it at all. There were certainly still things that would shock the young boy, but he had certainly managed to improve his evasion skills.

Name: Henri Charles de Bourbon
School: Beauxbatons
Year: 2nd
Status: Pureblood
╚════════════════════════ °• ♔ •° ═════════════════════════╝
Appearance: Henri's features are handsomely defined and very pleasing to stare at, with ashy blond hair styled in slightly messy curls to maintain a mischievous yet dashing look. His soft grey eyes seem to glimmer like silver whenever the light hits just right, making it impossible to not be lost in the intensity of his gaze. Henri has sharp jawlines and high cheekbones, along with beautiful fair skin and a bright complexion.
Image==========================
Personality: Once you've met Henri, it is impossible to dislike him--the young French is nothing but charming, outgoing and incredibly charismatic. Henri has his way with words, knowing and saying exactly what people want to hear whilst accompanying it with a disarming smile. He's particularly gentle with the ladies and the pretty boys--he never fails to compliment them to earn their favour, as he feels attraction towards both genders. Never would anyone suspect that underneath all that dazzling outward appearance is a manipulative, conniving and vain person. Henri knows he's got the charm and he's learnt to use it to his advantage. He viciously guards his darker side away from people and he doesn't have a conscience--if you aren't someone he considers as valuable within his entourage, he would never extend a hand in need when you're in trouble. Henri knows not of compassion and sympathy for others in his heart.
History:
Reducio
Carnelian Miller (Regina's great-grandfather) had had a darling wife whom he cherished dearly despite the circumstance of their arranged marriage due to Pureblood traditions. Together, the couple had bared brilliant and prodigal children by the names of Charles and Melvina Miller. Whereas Charles--the older brother--would attend Hogwarts for his education and wed Allura Raywood of Durmstrang a few years after his graduation before having their only coveted son Alfred, Melvina found herself enchanted by the bewitching calling of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and pleaded for her parents to allow her to study within the sophisticated walls of the Académie. Thus was the beginning of Melvina Miller's story, where she was sent to France and encountered the wonderful and gentlemanly Alexandre Louis de Courcillon in her fourth year. Alexandre was in his sixth year when they met for the first time, and both Purebloods quickly became enamored with one another.

When Carnelian discovered that the prestigious House of Courcillon had a family prestige that could be traced back to French nobility during the 17th century, he immediately gave his daughter and her lover all of his blessings when Melvina had announced her willing engagement with Alexandre--since it was a beneficial marriage that would expand the House of Miller's connections to France. Melvina de Courcillon then gave birth to a beautiful girl whom she named Juliette Marie, and being the only child in the family, that girl would grow up to be condescending and extremely pretentious. It was almost unbelievable that anyone could ever come to genuinely like such a vain woman as Juliette, yet she somehow charmed the Pureblood Heir of the House of Bourbon to fall irrevocably in love with her and leave his at-the-time fiance Annalise de Montfort to marry Juliette instead. People whispered that she had used Amortentia, others rumoured that Guillaume Alphonse de Bourbon was simply infatuated with her otherwordly beauty--all blond hair and shining grey eyes like diamonds. Despite the circulating hearsay, Juliette was married into the House of Bourbon and two years after, Henri Charles de Bourbon (Regina's second cousin) was born.

Juliette Marie de Bourbon had wanted a daughter to pamper like a princess, but she'd got a son instead, and it was for this reason that Henri never received maternal affections from Mère throughout his childhood. Père was too besotted with the now Bourbon matriarch to even notice, and Henri was left to be raised by caretakers and preceptors. Henri inherited his good looks from his mother, and unfortunately, all of her bad traits as well. He came to resent his parents for their neglect, even though he'd learnt the art of the mask and pretended to be a good, obedient son. He never understood the concept of love as he's never received it from his parents, and soon Henri became a new constant rumour within the French Pureblood society as a child conceived through Love Potion, thus unable to feel love--fuelling the already scuttlebutt of Guillaume and Juliette's romance. This knowledge was one of the many causes of Henri's hidden rotten side, but the moment that he stepped foot into Beauxbatons, the young Bourbon Heir vowed to make use of his beautiful face and charm he'd got from his detestable mother to one day trample both of his parents and bring the House of Bourbon to new heights within Wizarding France. This conviction only grew when his sister, Charlotte Diane de Bourbon, came to this world when he was 11--the spoiled little princess that Mère had always wanted.

First instance of magic: It was during supper with both of his insufferable parents that Henri displayed the potential prowess of his magic. Henri was only five when he unintentionally exploded all of the glasses and china plates on the table due to bare concealed anger after a underlying vicious comment Mère had thrown at him. One of the broken pieces almost marred Juliette's flawless skin. Henri suffered a furious scolding from Père and was grounded in his quarters for three consecutive days.

LOVELY CREATURE

Reducio
For as long as Henri could remember, people had always gushed about how his looks were divine or how one day, he would undoubtably grow up to break many hearts of both men and women. He had never failed to notice how his caretakers would whisper amongst themselves in the halls of the grandiose Château de Bourbon about his ethereal traits. 'Sa beauté est ravissant, même à son jeune âge,' they would say. 'C'est de la famille, sûrement. Il l'a hérité de sa mère.'(*)

When Henri had been old enough to understand what they mean, he'd spent a full hour staring at the mirror in his quarters and had acknowledge their words had all been true. He had been only eight then, but he could see how his ashy blond locks would shimmer like golden threads and how his grey eyes shone like jewelry in the light. Although he did not possess Veela blood, one could almost mistake him to be one at first glance. Deep down, Henri did not rejoice at this fact for all of these attractive features belonged to a mother who did not love him. Juliette Marie de Bourbon had given her son everything but maternal affection, as she should have. But all would be fine, Henri had thought darkly to himself in the sanctuary of his bedroom. Because beauty was a powerful weapon, and the young Bourbon Heir would harness it to perfection and use it to his advantage in the future.

True to his conviction, the blond-haired little boy had begun taking care of his appearance more and observe other beautiful individuals to improve what was necessary. For someone so young, nobody had suspected he'd been more mature in his mind then he'd seemed. Henri would meticulously style his hair in the mornings, carefully pick out clothes that would compliment his complexion the most, spend a reasonably amount of time under the sun as to not appear sickly pale, and respect a religious diet that would allow him to maintain a healthy and pleasing form from body to skin. The boy had learnt to smile more, even if they'd been as fake as the positive and disarming emotions he'd force onto his face to charm other people.

This had continued on until he'd turned 11, and Henri had found all of his effort hadn't gone to waste. It was the day when he'd be escorted to L'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons, and as soon as he'd stepped foot in Cannes and witnessed many heads turning around twice to get a better look at him as he'd passed by. Some of the girls had even been blatantly staring, and blushed bright red when he'd innocently flashed them a practiced dazzling smile full of perfectly white teeth. As the Bourbon Heir bid one of his caretakers goodbye and climbed on the Abraxan carriage, Henri's smile had morphed into something more gleefully malignant--momentarily twisting his beautiful features. Perhaps, if there was one single thing he would be grateful to his useless Mère for, it was giving him the most dangerous weapon of all.

history
Vivienne Beaumont has a complicated history, though she is unaware of it. She is the daughter of muggle Chantel Dupont and a wizard born father she has never met: Beau Leroux. Her biological father left her mother as soon as she had broken the news of her pregnancy to him, and her mother hasn't spoken of him since. Vivienne does not even know he exists. When her mother was 4 months pregnant, she fell in love with a muggle man named Adrien Beaumont and they later married when Vivienne was 3 years old. The young girl is under the false impression that Adrien is her biological father, and even though she looks little like him, she hasn't questioned it. Because of this, she believes that she is a muggle-born and will tell anyone that asks that she's a muggle-born.

Vivienne was born on a dewy, cloudless morning on the 21st May 2010 in the seaside town of Étretat, France. Living so close to the sea, the girl has since developed a love for the ocean and the beauty of nature. She has a younger adopted brother, Louis Beaumont, who was adopted by her mother and Adrien in 2018. He is only 1 year younger than Vivienne, but the girl is very protective of him and the two share a very close bond. Usually, they can be found on the beach building sandcastles together, swimming in the sea, or collecting seashells.

Vivienne had a fairly normal childhood that was nothing out of the ordinary. She loves all the things muggle kids love: cartoons, playing outside, movies, superheroes, Disney and the like. For the most part, she enjoyed school but the young girl really came alive when she was outside. She was drawn to the outdoors and nature, and would much rather be swimming in the ocean than staying cooped up in her home. Along with the English lessons she was doing in school, her parents also insisted for her to take extra lessons as they said it would be useful to know a different language from a young age. The young girl has developed a passion for language learning, and is currently trying to learn Spanish, though she can only speak basic sentences as of right now.

When she found out that she was going to have to attend a magical school, her initial reaction was to laugh and shrug off the funny joke. Of course, it was not a joke and it was very much going to become her new life. She was a mixture of excitement and nervousness at the mere thought of having to leave behind the only life she knew and enter a completely different, unknown world. But she done what she always does: tried to look on the bright side. This new world was just another thing for her to explore.

"Louis! Get down from there!" 9 year old Vivienne shouted at her younger brother, who was sat on a branch very high up a tree. She wasn't entirely sure how he had managed to get all the way up there in such a short space of time, she had only been turned around for a few seconds. Louis stuck his tongue out at her cheekily, shaking his head vehemently and refusing to get down. Then, there was a sound of a branch slowly snapping, and Louis's tiny little face quickly morphed into an expression of pure, unadulterated fear. The branch fell with a massive crack, along with Louis.

"LOUIS!" Vivienne's scream was full of fear as she ran towards her younger brother, desperate to try and catch him and hopefully soften his fall. She expected him to be injured, or worse, but when she had gotten closer to him she realized something extremely odd. Her brother was floating a few inches from the ground, before he was safely placed onto the grass by an unknown force. The girl was extremely bewildered by the events, but she shrugged it off as her mind conquering up the image out of fear for her brother as she pulled Louis into a bone-crushing hug.
୨୧ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ୨୧
personality
If the sun was a person, they would likely be called Vivienne Beaumont. She's essentially an introvert's worst nightmare: outgoing, talkative and as extroverted as you could get. Her mouth simply did not have a stop button, as she loves to talk about everything and anything. Meeting new people and getting to know them are one of her favorite things. Her heart is full of love for everyone, and she is a very trusting individual. The girl looks at the world with a 'glass half full' mindset.

Vivienne loves nature, she is very adventurous - sometimes even reckless. The girl is very active and loves playing sports. Running around on the beach, swimming in the sea, playing football with her brother are just a few of the things she can frequently be found doing. One of her other hobbies is photography, which has developed from her love and admiration of nature and the overwhelming need to have the beautifulness of it all captured in a photo forever. She is always open to trying new things, and will usually always say 'yes' to a suggestion, even if it sounds dangerous.

Though, sometimes Vivienne can be a bit too trusting and can end up coming across as a bit naive and gullible. It is incredibly easy to gain her trust, and just as easy to stab her in the back. She will believe anything someone she deems a friend says, even if it's the most obvious lie. The girl also can't seem to tell if someone is being rude to her, or are annoyed by her and don't want her around. You could tell her to her face to 'go away' and she will simply laugh and smile at your joke. Her gullible personality also comes with her being a pushover - she's easy to influence, and she will follow you around like a lost puppy if she thinks you're her friend. She has a childlike innocence about her and sees the world through rose-colored glasses; she doesn't seem to understand that there are mean and cruel people in the world.

Her extroverted, gullible and childlike personality are certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but that's just who Vivienne Beaumont is.

Description:
Vivienne doesn't care much for her appearance, in all honesty, but still tries to make herself look just a bit presentable. Her brown hair is either down and windswept or thrown up haphazardly into a messy ponytail to keep it away from her face. Her brown, doe-eyed eyes have a gleam of childlike innocence and the urge to explore in them. Her face is usually always lit up with a smile that could light up a room. She looks the complete opposite of intimidating, and probably wouldn't even be able to scare a fly. She is slightly tall for her age, standing at 5'0 and weighing around 81 pounds.
────────────────────────

Style:
Vivienne is not a stylish person in the slightest, and will put on whatever she has near her. She's either wearing shorts and a tank-top or a hoodie and sweatpants, there really is no in between when it comes to Vivienne. The girl always has a multitude of hair ties wrapped around her wrists and is never seen without a seashell necklace on that her mother gave her. Other than that, she rarely wears any other jewellery and her ears aren't pierced. She tries to keep her uniform tidy, but it usually always ends up looking like she dragged herself through a thorn bush.

Vivienne Beaumont did not seem to be afraid of anything. She was adventurous to a fault, and being adventurous always usually comes with being reckless. She loves the adrenaline rush she gets when she tries something new and slightly scary. The drop in your stomach, the scream that gets caught in your throat, Vivienne loved it all.

The day her parents realized their daughter was practically fearless was the day the family had decided to go bungee jumping when they were in vacation in Australia the summer Vivienne was 10. Louis had outright refused to do it, claiming that he was 'too amazing to die' and 'had so many more comics to read'. He would climb up a tree, but not bungee jump, which Vivienne did not really understand (even though they were on two different levels of risk taking). "I want to do it! Oh can I do it upside down? Pleaseeeeeeeeee! I really want to go upside down! It'll be really fun!" She pleaded, jumping up and down in front of her mother who was looking at her in shock.

"Now Vivi, sweetie, are you sure you want to do it upside down? That will be very scary." Her mother said her words slowly, as if coaxing a wild animal, practically pleading her daughter to not do something so terrifying and silly. Yet Vivienne insisted, and she went bungee jumping upside down. Her parents had expected her to be shaking in fear after it, but instead she was smiling possibly the brightest smile they had ever seen.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh that was so fun! I want to do it again! Can I do it again? That was AMAZING!" It was safe to say, she had likely given her mother 20 heart attacks that day.

Then there was the day that she went swimming with sharks. That's a slight exaggeration, as it wasn't actually in the ocean and was instead at an aquarium her school had went to for a school trip. There was an option to dive with sharks, and most of her classmates outright refused. But of course, Vivienne was at the very front of the line, begging to be able to go first. Who wouldn't want to swim with sharks? That sounded awesome to Vivienne, and she really didn't understand why her classmates didn't want to do it. The girl loved it, and it was one of the best experiences of her life.

So, it was safe to say that Vivienne was nearly fearless. Of course she still had some tiny fears, especially spiders. They were a big no. But adrenaline causing or risky things that many others would find terrifying? A piece of cake for Vivienne. Rollercoasters? One of her favorite things. The adrenaline rush she got when doing something risky would never get old to Vivienne.
