Index Bounty

We are looking for some eagle eyed members that might notice if we failed to remove someone from Index for inactivity. This is just a way to involve everyone with the project, compensate you for helping (yes I do pay you) and to make sure that everything is accurate.

This bounty will remain open until end of day May 24.

Potion Brewing System Closure & Refund Update

As of today, the Potion Brewing System has officially closed. If you previously participated in potion brewing, you will notice that you have been refunded for your brewed potions. This is because, under the new system, you already own the item by virtue of having completed (or been credited for) the corresponding class.

Common Questions

Q: What do I do with extra doses of potion?
A: They're yours to do with as you wish! You can:

• Sell them back to the shop
• Gift them to a friend
• Keep them for roleplay purposes
• Sell them on the free market
• Donate them to your sport’s potion fund

It’s completely up to you!

Q: When can I start using the shops?
A: Technically, shops are open now—but please wait a few days before making major purchases. We are still finalizing potion edits and adding required prerequisites for certain items. If you buy too early, you may find you’re temporarily unable to use the item until those updates are complete.

Q: What about Restricted Potions?
A: The Restricted Potion Shop is currently being built. Yes, we will also be introducing bounties for both restricted spells and potions—more on that soon! Keep an eye out for the official announcement.

Q: When does the Inventory Transition begin?
A: It begins today.

Restricted Shop Bounty

I have just completed a Restricted Shop for both potions and spells. I am setting another bounty for this shop. Because only a few members can access the Restricted Shop, I have temporarily expanded vision of the Restricted Section of the Library Shop, giving all sorted members access to the Restricted Shop for the next few days.

It should be noted that the prerequisite for all Restricted Spells is having the applicable Restricted Charms, Restricted Transfiguration or Restricted Transfiguration ability. It goes without saying that you need to be at least Year 6 to use any of these spells.

This bounty will remain open until end of day May 26.

Trunk Transition Project

We’re excited to announce that the Trunk-to-Inventory Transition Project is officially starting now!

Over the coming days, your trunks will be converted into full inventory systems. This means your spells, potions, and other key items will be transitioned into a more dynamic and manageable inventory format.

Your trunks should be already up-to-date, this is important so that everything transfers correctly.


If you have already applied for a trunk update, it will be honored. For those that have not applied for an update, you are at risk for not having a clean transition.

This new system will enhance your gameplay experience, offer new mechanics in the future, and make moderation easier and more consistent.

Trunk Updates Update

The trunk update form in the encyclopedia has been temporarily locked to help facilitate the trunk transition. If you have noticed it is difficult to post in the thread, that is why. Any trunk updates that were already handled by Index will be honoured in the transition; those that have not yet been handled due to having been posted later might get lost.

Welcome Our New Caretaker

@Avery Phineas Finch, also known as @EmmaLee LeDames has been named our newest Caretaker. EmmaLee was a Hufflepuff prefect who has shown exceptional work ethic and community activity. We are excited to see them in their new role.

This does mean that we will be posting applications for Hufflepuff Prefect shortly.

We will be offering a limited time grace period after this transition project for members that did not update their trunks to provide an update. We ask that you make these updates in a timely manner as there will be no further extensions.

Encyclopedia Edits Re-Opening

We are officially re-opening the Encyclopedia Edit Form as part of our ongoing transition to the new inventory system.

As a reminder, your trunk serves as a record of your character’s stats, abilities, spells, and potions. During our inventory migration, we asked players to ensure their trunks were up to date so we could accurately transfer this data into the new system. A huge thank you to everyone who completed those updates!

For those who did not update their trunks during the initial window, we are offering a limited-time grace period to make those edits now.

Important Notes:

Many spells and potions have already been added to your inventory based on what was already in your trunk.

It is now your responsibility to clearly list any missing spells or potions in your trunk so they can be added.

Vague entries like “all Year 1 spells” or “the rest of Year 3 potions” will not be accepted. Please list them explicitly.

As part of this process, any updates submitted will also be copied into your current trunk for one final upcoming project that relies on accurate trunk data.

Deadline for Trunk Edits: July 1

Don’t miss this final opportunity to get your trunk in order. After this deadline, the grace period will close and further changes may not be accommodated.
